Christopher Nolan: (to the Batman franchise after Batman and Robin) I’m not going to kill you. *Directs Batman Begins and makes it his own* Christopher Nolan: But I don’t have to save you.
6:15 I would think Alfred ordered pizza because Bruce and Dick were planning to have a pizza night, but then the distress signal show up and changed their plans, and Bruce went: Whoop, gonna have to have a pizza night some other time. We gotta go and save the day. Which has happened a lot in the powerpuff girls episodes. I’m absolutely sure it was the same with the beginning of this movie.
I can't stop laughing every time John Flickinger talks as the dude is just so damn intense. Are you doing a TH-cam video or announcing a Vegas heavyweight match, buddy?
I have the strong conviction that this movie was trying to bring back the 1960's Batman tone. But we weren't in the 60's anymore, for better or for worse... I also believe that this movie accomplished one important thing (whether intentionally or not): it paid a homage to a certain Batman portrayal that we will not see anymore, to a tv show that was a product of its time.
Ok. I m addicted to this channel. That gorilla when Poison Ivy shows is reference to legendary scene from "Blonde Venus " with Marlene Dietrich and Cary Grant. This is movie for kids so they can buy toys. Thats it. We NEED Barb Wire with Pam Anderson review my fave guilty pleasure movie.
At least one person in here noticed things like this, It frustrates me, Schumacher should have really have made something amazing with that flair of his. I feel, he never properly applied this style any piece correctly. He started as a costume designer after working with Halston. He wrote the scripts to Car Wash and The Wiz. Maybe he did not have the self awareness to bring things like that to his movies. He also probably was constantly made to not get too gay with that stuff. Although Phantom he also made into a mess, so who knows, it's a shame. LOL - And i love Barb Wire - The best Casablanca remake! (i love trash film)
"Hey Batman, could I borrow one of your lasers? I mean you have ice skates built into your boots, could I borrow one of your extra lasers? No? You're just gonna leave? Well FUCK YOU TOO!!"
The frustrating thing is that I could totally see Clooney work as Bruce Wayne. With a better script and better direction at least. Clooney has this sort of classic Hollywood charme that could fit this role. Ah, well.
All that prick Bob Kane created was the name Bat-man and a shitty picture. Bill Finger as far as I am concerned created Batman. He came up with Bruce Wayne, his origin, Gotham, the Batmobile, his suit, utility belt, Wayne Manor, Robin, Joker, Scarecrow, Two-Face, Catwoman, the Riddler, the Penguin, Commissioner Gordon and he created Batman's nickname 'The Dark Knight'.
"You killed my parents, I made you. You made me first" "Im not gonna kill you, but I dont have to save you either." "Hey, the heat is on." Really lives up to the others.
*Don't forget that one:* "I bet your parents taught you that you mean something, that you're here for a reason. My parents taught me a different lesson, dying in the gutter for no reason at all... They taught me the world only makes sense if you force it to."
I met one of the engineers that designed the bat mobile for Batman and Robin. He said it has four-wheel steering with two v12 engines. The front and rear drive- and power-trains are independent, this allows the car to select between front, rear, and four-wheel drive. He said the car can essentially pivot in place, is over twenty feet long, and not as fast as you would imagine.
Leon A it is for me, because when I was little I un-ironically loved the shit out of this movie. And now every time I see it, I’m just like, “eh that was pretty fun.” Because the nostalgia is too strong.
It's how he emphasises it. When you're asking a question, your tone of voice goes up. When you're disappointed with someone, your tone of voice goes down. If you're disappointed with someone, it means you know who they are. It's as simple as that. This can also be used as a comedically effect. Like in Anchorman, when someone types a question mark in the teleprompter, and Ron says "I'm Ron Burgundy?" with his tone of voice going up.

+MrFlipperInvader782 It's fucking dumb. How could you possibly have a credit card without assigning an address to it to receive its bills? That's like saying his Shark Repellant wasn't dumb. (Pretty sure that was from the Adam West tv show, but still.)
+BabaYaga RAPE MY CHILDHOOD!!! YOU CANT DO THIS, YOU WILL ALL DIE!!
Sigh. Pills. always come in handy when Joel Shumacher is involved
+MrFlipperInvader782 Fine, how about WHY WOULD BATMAN HAVE TO BUY ANYTHING? If Batman actually needed something that he would need to purchase, he would do it as Bruce Wayne. That's why it's dumb. Batman and Bruce Wayne are drastically different characters, despite being the same person.
I've watched this hilariocity so many times and I love it
Jakob Thonen it’s better than the movie
So have I.
The combination of Chris and John is unrivalled for movie reviews.
The Clooney Batman impression is spot on. I thought I was the only one who noticed Clooney's head-bobbing throughout the film. Drove me nuts.
He still does it, sice ER. It's annoying.
I thought I was the only one that always noticed in all his films he bobs his head when he talks. Its weird
Jay Leno does that as well😂
The reason he said “mr freeze” like that is because he’s told that the guy turned folks into blocks of ICE. so Batman can said it like “oooh ok I get it... mr FREEZE” like he sees the play on words of it and not impressed. It’s like saying it with a smfh
I thought since Batman has probably been crime fighting for a good 5-10 years I took it as Batman saying his name like it was a another day at work
Mr Freeze: What killed the dinosaurs?? THE ICE AGE!!
Me: What............ The HELL???
I thought the astroids killed them
Ice Age told me that they lived underground
+Lucas Tabuena The Ice Age finished them off.
+MrPinbert no just no.they all died a few million years before the ice age
Oh, so that's where that quote came from. I've never seen this movie, but I know that quote from TRG.
Now let us give thanks to our savior Christopher Nolan for saving Batman
Chris Nolan: TIM BURTON I WILL AVENGE YOU
+Ethan Joe Nolan's Batman is head-and-shoulders above Burton's.
ZuluChick Because of time periods.... nobody knew back then batman would be SOOO huge... they knew it would be big but NOT THAT big... they had NO idea! Also becsuse technology wasnt on there side at that time... burton made an entire damn city and a batmobile for this movie off of shit car scrap and jet stuff. So there is a huge justification for burton not being on par with nolan
cray nelson oh
I love this "WHERE ARE THEEEEYYY????"
From now on every time I turn on a light switch I'm going to creepily moan "oh yes".
Chris……..When Batman was sliding down that thing and you played Fred Flintstone doing the “ Yabba Dabba Doo” yell the length of the shot I blew ice tea out through my nose. Excellent Editing. This was better then the movie. Sooooooo funny.
The auction scene was AWESOME!
In Uncharted 4
It took me getting to about 7 minutes in to realize that I've SEEN this movie and I saw it when I was about 7 years old on a VHS my parents bought. And I'm not kidding, I actually liked this movie when I was that young.
Now I'm just sitting here in shame thinking "Wow. Absolutely not. There's no way. NO."
It's okay dude we all have our opinions and they change I also used to like this film but watching after a while made me realize how..... interesting it is
RJ Kroeplin I used think it was good when I was a kid too, your not alone
@Waut Dooghe Haha I promise I know that, thanks
Don't sweat it. I used to watch Green Acres on TV when I was a 5 or 6 and I loved it. Stupidest shit I have seen now.
I loved this movie as a kid, and I now realize it was intended to profit off of kids, so I can understand why
Bill Finger was fortunate enough to not live to see this travesty of his work and Bob Kane was. I have never believed in karma more than I do now.
I wish he'd at least seen Tim Burton's first Batman film
Its shocking when you think this director released this movie and A Time to Kill within a year of each other. Insanity.
It’s crazy that Schumacher did lost boys one of the best movies of the 80s also did the worst movie of the 90s
I thought that movie was ok. I felt that it needed more Matthew McConaughey nipple outfits.
Batman: Poison Ivy, why would she help escape Dr. Freeze?
Robin: Well she’s definitely evil.
"Hey Freeze, the heat is on."
XD XD XD XD
Sounded like Firestorm's reference.
my favourite movies ever
1. The Phantom Menace
2. Batman & Robin
3. X-Men: The Last Stand
4. Hulk
5. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
can we be friends?
hah, nice bait
Oh please fantastic 4 "2015" is a classic mmmmkay??
you are a smart human being
Ummmmmmmmm.... Your list is flawed. It's missing Howard the Duck
I've watched this review at least 10 times, which is twice as much as I've watched the movie. I'm ALMOST thankful for the movie just so I can cackle like a maniac at this review.
This movie killed Bob Kane
lol
It don’t kill him
Eye cancer is a real thing. I've seen it. 😂😂😂
But Bill Finger lives on in our hearts.
Lol
'OOOOHHH MONEY MONEY MONEY'
...that had me laughing good. thank you.
I really want to see "Nippley Circus Action Man The Movie" now.
You have! It's called "Batman and Robin!"
Starring Richard Simmons and directed by John Waters.
@@jaysonraphaelmurdock8812 I miss Richard Simmons, especially his Letterman interviews.
RIP Joel Schumacher
I love the guy but I feel bad for him he apologize for this movie when it was the studios fault they made this movie straight for the toys and Schumacher took the blame for their shitty script
5:00 “It looks like a futuristic sex toy.” Omg it totally does.
"also on a very sad and unfortunate note, this is Bob Kane's last batman film that he saw, How sad indeed" that is so fucking depressing.
Man I remember loving this movie as a kid, bugging my mom to buy me the Robin toys and I was really hyped for a sequel with Batgirl.
Child me was dumb.
This movie is a lot of fun :)
This movie is awesome! For some reason everyone is trying to judge it as a serious movie, which it clearly is not.
I mean I liked it too..
I need Batman & Robin 2, this movie is the most unique superhero movies and not in a good way
Sounds like someone has a boner for Robin. LOL
I didn't watch the movie but I died laughing watching this 😂
I was 16 when this movie was released in 1997 and I saw it in the theater...even then, I found it absolutely awful.
NorthSea 1981 I was 10 when it came out and the same thing.
The song Bone Thugs N Harmony did for it tho was tight.
NorthSea 1981 I sadly remember buying the comic for it...
NorthSea 1981 I was 6 and loved it.
I was 10 :P
We have Christopher Nolan to thank for saving this beloved franchise
Christopher Nolan: (to the Batman franchise after Batman and Robin) I’m not going to kill you.
*Directs Batman Begins and makes it his own*
Christopher Nolan: But I don’t have to save you.

We gotta go and save the day. Which has happened a lot in the powerpuff girls episodes. I’m absolutely sure it was the same with the beginning of this movie.
"let's pretend you have never watched this movie"
I actually never have
I envy you
I bought the DVD. Because it's fun.
And you should consider yourself incredibly fortunate.
@@mauvem it's fun!? WHY? Would you Make A HORRIBLE JOKE INSTEAD OF WATCHING THIS MOVIE I SPENT TWO SLAMMING MY HEAD INTO THE WALL!
I've seen Batman & Robin when I was a kid I'll never see it again.
Why does John Flickinger talk like he's providing commentary on a WWF show?
The juice amps you up, that's why.
Julio Araque But he's always like that, though... Very funny guy, but I can't watch him for too long because his energy levels are tiring me!
RIGHT?! I thought I was the only one who thought so! Lol
I can't stop laughing every time John Flickinger talks as the dude is just so damn intense.
Are you doing a TH-cam video or announcing a Vegas heavyweight match, buddy?
I personally love this movie because it’s so bad. Every single scene has something to cringe at.
See it's like poetry
Princess Rainbovvs X Musashi It’s so dense, every single image
it's so terribly cheesy and amazing, I love it, every pun and stupid moment.
Exactly
I have the strong conviction that this movie was trying to bring back the 1960's Batman tone. But we weren't in the 60's anymore, for better or for worse...
I also believe that this movie accomplished one important thing (whether intentionally or not): it paid a homage to a certain Batman portrayal that we will not see anymore, to a tv show that was a product of its time.
One of the funniest reviews ever!!
Ok. I m addicted to this channel.
That gorilla when Poison Ivy shows is reference to legendary scene from "Blonde Venus
" with Marlene Dietrich and Cary Grant.
Rest In Peace Joel Schumacher.
I`ll be honest, horrible or not, this movie sure had a interesting style.
yeah haha, just as the director said: he just wanted to entertain
They went from this to the dark Knight in a decade is really very appreciable.
12:00 I guess you could say it TURNED HIM ON
*slow clap* Bravo, sir. Bravo.
you have just won the internet mate
Yes!
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Hahaha made my dayXD
BatMAN is so PC, that one of the names he recommends for batgirl is bat person. Lol
I'm surprised they didn't talk about Ivy's quote when Robin is essentially hitting on her near the end: "Slippery when wet". 👏
I was literally crying when John talks about batman telling commissioner Gordon he had 11 minutes to thaw the people out then leaves🤣🤣
I was dying also when John was talking about the hidden button 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😆🤣
"Hey Batman, could I borrow one of your lasers? I mean you have ice skates built into your boots, could I borrow one of your extra lasers? No? You're just gonna leave? Well FUCK YOU TOO!!"
That's my favorite part of the video
Gotta say this is a pretty COOL review
That comment gave me the CHILLS.
For that, I´ll give you the COLD shoulder.
The frustrating thing is that I could totally see Clooney work as Bruce Wayne. With a better script and better direction at least. Clooney has this sort of classic Hollywood charme that could fit this role. Ah, well.
People staring at Batman's nipples, he's like "Hey! My eyes are up here!".
Picasso: Oh, I disagree.
Like with Stan Lee.. Steve Ditko created the costume, etc.. But his name is not rung as much..
Damn talk about taking the credit
I thought the Joker was created by Jerry Robinson ?
+Ricardo Cantoral no Bill Finger all the way.
+Ricardo Cantoral Jerry did the first concept sketch. Bill did the rest.

@@abramsullivan7764 When the chips are down, these, uh, so called civilized people... they’ll eat each other
this movie is stupid
*Don't forget that one:*
"I bet your parents taught you that you mean something, that you're here for a reason. My parents taught me a different lesson, dying in the gutter for no reason at all... They taught me the world only makes sense if you force it to."
"Rubber lips are immune to your charms"- Robin. Is that his most famous line?
I met one of the engineers that designed the bat mobile for Batman and Robin. He said it has four-wheel steering with two v12 engines. The front and rear drive- and power-trains are independent, this allows the car to select between front, rear, and four-wheel drive. He said the car can essentially pivot in place, is over twenty feet long, and not as fast as you would imagine.
*1997*

😂😂😂
Such an underrated comment.
when cloney says "mr. freeze..." I thought he said it like he doesn't know him, like he wonders hmmmm mr freeze... whos that guy?
same here. to me it doesn't sound like he knows him at all in any way.
A thing they didn't bring up though is the fact that Gordon introduces Mr. Freeze like he's a fucking heavy weight boxing champion.
This whole fucking thread is hilarious.
yeah that's what I always thought too, Chris was kinda reaching on this one
Uma Thurman, I'm in love 😍
She was bad in this movie but I had the biggest crush on her in this movie

Luiz Rhakesh I was still sad at banes eventual demise in the film, and his revealed inconsequentiality to the endgame. Saddened me as a fanboy, but worked for the film.
" That's why every poison Ivy action figure comes with..." I'm done. 😒
angelique mercado It totally explains why the movie was referred to as “2 hour toy commercial”. Uma Thurman should go back to the Quentin Tarantino movies.
Cybernetic Nerd This was before she did the Kill Bill movies. This and the Avengers knocked her back for a few years.
@Allen Greene Uma Thurman was in Pulp Fiction before Batman & Robin.
Yup, that was just about my, reaction when I rewatch, this crapfest of a moive.
Cybernetic Nerd Yeah although she still wasn’t that well known. Although it doesn’t matter who was in the film. Michael Keaton or Christian Bale or Ben Affleck could have been Batman in this film and it still would have sucked because of how badly and how corny it was written.
