this is my experience after 2 years of dcs, i want to go to the dangerous areas and pretend i know what im doing, but i cant be bothered learning how to attack and defend, i just want to fly around XD

dcs is like war thunder but you don't have to play crappy planes for a hundred hours just to work your way into the one you want to spend time with.
Or spend hundreds on premiums and golden eagles in WT to ease the grind and then complain that DCS is "too expensive" to play 😂.
Well there are a few cheap modules but most of them are all over $50 or $60 a piece depending on the aircraft so it can get spendy not to mention the maps are expensive as well

That is true, on the other hand:
1. You can also play ANY module for two weeks for free to determine if you want to pay that price.
2.) After 6 months you can 'trail' the same module again.
3.) There are over 30 modules to pick from - that means you can play full fidelity modules all year for free.
4.) Maps are included in that free trial system.
In short, you can sample ALL the products for free until you absolutely, positively, 100%, and with no reservations sure of what products you want spend your pesos on. No waiting out a timer, no constant barrage of micro-transactions. Just the plane you want when you want it. @@jesseterrell2109

you can try out every module for i think a week on the standalone version of the game (except early access ones that just came out), not the steam version.
How many people spend hundreds on premiums and GE to make WT less grindy, though?

Also WT was released in 2012, same as DCS World, although "DCS" itself was first in beta in 2008, so only a 4 year difference.
@@meerbee2910 Remind me, how long have IR missiles been in War Thunder? How long have chaff and flares been in War Thunder? Both are recent editions and running by on new code. They were not coded in 2012, stop being disingenuous.
Furthermore DCS takes a lot of systems from previous Eagle Dynamics games, so some parts are even older then DCS itself. The difference is far more then 4 years.
But happily the Vulkan overhaul is on the way and all those systems are being updated as part of that

Dcs has game mode option for those who want a chill and without joystick experience
Btw for sams you have chaff not flares i heard you to use and fly low and to side to lower your cross section + immidiately go down after enemy fired.
You probably already know this, but you were running the F51 with too high throttle for that altitude. Also the RPM could've been a little higher which would've reduced the strain from high manifold pressure + low RPM, but likely wouldn't have done too much for the engine going kaputt. Source: My experience with the MSFX P51 and also my class in Aviation
Also when you were being shot at by that Radar missile you should've gone defensive and ran either away, or perpendicular to the radar, not just chaffing and hoping it loses lock. In WT PD basically doesn't see chaff if you're headon with the radar, so you have to either get low to the ground, notch, or run. WT is getting to the point where actual tactics like going defensive in BVR are actually useful and not just cowardice

as a War Thunder player myself who got an x52 PRO last year and tried to play DCS i can confirm it was a terrible idea... maybe now that i am somewhat decent with my joystick i could try it again...

Ppl often forget that war thunder has a sim mode for comparison.
And in dcs you spend hours to learn to turn on the engine

War thunder is quite dumb in terms of realistic. In wt jet's don't have a stall speed AT ALL, can easily pull post stall maneuvers (even if they can't in real life) and achieves 20-50 g, which is also absolutely impossible in real life. So DSC is much more realistic ;)
I was semi-interested until the 26-second mark...I was forced to click pause...leave this post and eject as quickly as possible....just in case something happens to me and my existence ends before I am able to view DCS content again I am going to immediately clear my browser & TH-cam history....If my family...my kids ever searched my viewing history and heard this they would be so ashamed & devastated struggling to live their lives believing their father, a manly man they believed had actually secretely been supporting this type of blasphemy... Perhaps I'm exagerattng some but I do not think so...even so, I do hope you don't take my words personally or think I'm being offensive... my intent is solely to provide constructive feedback...(well... not really). Anyway, I guess I'm just too old, traditional and stuck in my ways to accept what I was exposed to in this video. In fact, to be honest I have never imagined I would have ever been exposed to a video of Fighter jets that has an audio overlay with something that sounds like WHAM or BAM or whatever their $$@!@$$ guys band was called...That musical choice is perhaps the most disturbing and inappropriate musical choice in the history of musical overlay choices... I was literally stunned...preparing to hear the roar of the turbines but my ears nearly bled from being pierced by that WHAM type tunes you chose to use as your musical theme...I'm still shakened.....Oh well, I'm am better than I was and almost over it now.... again, I hope this is not being offensive... (and once again I must clarify because I do not like lying...truth is, I don't care because throwing WHAM over a 1 or 2 or whatever type circle fight you were engaged in should never happen...NEVER EVER!!!
Hopefully I made my point soooo any whoooo... FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT GOES BRRrrrttttt!!! Please never use those tunes again...I suggest something along the lines of AC/DC...CCR...Stones...Rage....Freebird....Fire Down Below...Hopefully that helps.
