I know exactly what you mean. Yes vehicles like this Crown are fine, but if you’re coming from special cars like the GS, this is a hard pill to swallow. Crown is ok for the anti car person that just wants comfort and efficiency, but you might have to reduce size and go with an IS 359 F Sport not much else can give you what you’re looking for

I enjoy the overall design, but they need to work on the driver’s display, the annoying engine, the hybrid system, and get rid of the Toyota badge (replace with Crown).
I do agree that the Accord handles better but the reason why I prefer the Crown is because it's just more focused and not trying to be a jack of all trades like the Accord so there is no compromise in the Crown's mission of being a comfy cruiser so it feels complete and cohesive in the way it drives. Crown badge would be great to see on this!
To me this isn't a Crown as I remember the late 70's and the 80's Crowns which were WAY more luxurious than other Toyotas of the time, and a lot of other cars too, and I personally think this new one looks like it got smacked hard with the ugly stick.
Absolutely, this carries none of the original Crown's lineage which almost went toe to toe with German Flagships of the time. No, This is just another example of car companies regurgitating old name plates on Hybrids & EVs so the masses think it's cool. The two tone colors looks like someone put a trash bag on the back of these cars, very strange.

I loathe this over reliance on screens in modern car interiors, I can’t believe people are not seeing how cheap it’s making the interiors look. The gauges are digital, there’s now two screens in some cases for infotainment & HVAC, not to mention a freaking screen for the passenger like in the new Ram. It’s so lame and the sad part is, consumers love it 😞

Honda has much better handling and the hybrid is more advanced, imo.
