I love keeping a prayer journal. It's so encouraging to look back and see how the things that once worried us have been taken care of. I tend to forget all He does for me. Looking back reassures me He will always work ALL things out.
When you truly start walking with God you will never be the same! It is a wonderful experience. I have been walking with Jesus a long time over 20 years. We are not perfect but the Holy Spirit will teach us to live clean. Enjoy the journey!
Jesus Calling is my favorite devotional book. I've been reading it daily for years. I just start over at the beginning of the year. Anna, you will find peace with your walk with Jesus Christ. Same here. I am on my second year of reading it. It always amazes me how pertinent it can be for the day and what I am going through. No such thing as coincidence. That's God at work!

Oh Anna, I think this video was your best so far! I'm so impressed by all that you are doing to draw closer to God. I'm also 59, and am reading through the entire Bible in a year. I started on January 1. I am reading the English Standard Version (ESV). I find it easier to read than the King James Version, but I do love the King James Version too. I love how you said you ask God to help you understand His word better. Great idea! I have no doubt that God has been working in your life. He is our one and only hope. Nothing else really matters as much. SO happy for you. Oh, and I will definitely be making some baked zucchini! Yum!

I am a mayo freak. I think I would eat a shoe if there was enough mayo on it. I also am a Jesus freak. Can’t get enough of Him, either. Pray to the Holy Spirit for increased understanding before reading scripture. God wants you to know His word. He will get you there. Hmmmmm mayo on egg toast......interesting.....my x hubby used to eat french toast with salt& pepper on his& he told me not to put cinnamon in the eggwash😮 my husband as of today eats cottage cheese with salt& pepper on it where as the way i grew up how we ate cottage cheese is we topped it with either canned peaches or pears

You might want to check out this prayer book. Quiet Moments with God by Lloyd John Ogilvie. I've had mine a quite a while and it's showing some loving wear. My little bird chewed on the cover and at the time I was kind of upset but now, it reminds me of my little yellow bird who left me her mark of love. For the butterfly you saw, whenever I see one, I always think of my mom and dad and other loved ones in Heaven but for some reason, mostly my mom. I miss her so much. God bless you, Anna.
I have Parkinson's and spending time in the Bible and saying my prayers keeps me calm physically not shaking and mentally too. I love The Great Rescue Bible. It's NIV and is a wonderful devotional.
Try a peanut butter and brown sugar sandwich, they are delicious also peanut butter and pickle sandwiches are very good too!! Like you said don’t knock it until you try it!! Let me know in your comments if you try them.
The way I have been studying the Bible is with Shepherd's Chapel with Pastor Arnold Murray,and Pastor Dennis Murray. They teach from the King James Bible Chapter by Chapter Verse by Verse, and explain so that you can understand God's Word. I always ask God to help me understand. You will find Shepherd's Chapel on TH-cam, Dish Network, Internet TV, and on your computer. I study daily, and it has helped me understand God's Word. I want to try your French toast for breaskfast!

I do have a suggestion: As I read the bible , every time I came across something favorite of mine I would jot down the book, chapter, and verse it was in. For me it was a musical instrument and an animal I love. For you it could be your love for nature, good food, cooking. You will be amazed at how much you find! When I saw the part where you are studying the Bible my jaw dropped open, it was so ironic because I have started studying the Bible too. I am taking notes and putting notes in colored school folders with pockets and binders for future reference. My belief is the Holy Spirit is speaking to us in these last days, and glad we are among those who listened. I didn’t start at the beginning in Genesis, but in Job. It got a little over whelming to me, so after a short study on that large book….I have decided to go to Daniel and come back to Job later. Keep the faith!!🙏Enjoying your videos!! When you think about it, it's akin to an egg sandwich with mayo, (I actually prefer Miracle Whip). I'm 68 loved egg sandwiches as a kid, still do once in a while. I'm a widow now, I don't cook much , but an egg sandwich sounds good.

God will always be with you unlike man. Once save and it a frees gift for God who gave us his son for our slavation. Once you accept God you are forgiven for all past sin, present sin and futures sins. Yes I say because were all sin but in God eye he only see us pure. So one day when were call to be in our forever home it will be in heaven with our Lord forever period. God Grace be with you Anna and I pray you will grow in your understanding if God's word. I still at 78 learning more everyday though God's word call the Bible.The studying and learning will never stop we always will grow in the word.

I’m sure I will get some flack from other people in the comments about that and I will not respond to any of those comments. Please pray about it, and do your research on that devotional. Sarah Young, speaks in it as if she herself, is God and she goes outside of scripture. It’s a very dangerous book. I know it’s a feel good read, but it’s not of God.
There are a lot of books and things out there to be careful of. We can be decieved thinking its of God when it isn't. That's how Satan likes to get you. its an easy way ,and deception is everywhere these days.
