I love how you completely cleaned the phone just to pick it up and touch the screen with your fingers to turn it off
Lol word! 👊
@@ljptech lol
I had exactly the same experience. Fingerprint is not working properly anymore and that circle is very annoying. I switched to a soft protective screen protector and it works perfectly! The ones with the spray are the best as shown on the video ;)
Thanks
May I know what screen protector you got?
This video reallyyyy helped me! I thought I was doing something wrong when installing my screen protector.. bc of all the dirt and dust on the edges. First video to show me that it's the norm. Now to watch the rest of your video to see what I can do differently.
Thanks for your kind comment
@@ljptech absolutely! And you're so right.. not one of the glass screen protectors advertises having that finger print "smudge" as I like to call it. So yea, I just placed my order for the Spigen screen protector. Thanks tons! You're a rock star 🤩
Spigen is really good! I am sure you will like it. There is a bit of cushion when you press the screen which make it feel bit more premium
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I was about ditch my Samsung over this one sigle problem!
I have to disagree with using plastic screen protectors, they look awful, they peel on the edges and they pick up marks from your stylus or nails.
I went with a "Dome Glass" glass screen protector which you cure to your phone using UV adhesive, there's no thumb print hole and it works perfectly with my stylus and fingerprint.
Thanks for your input on this 👍
I tried numerous screen protectors, from so-called tempered glass to film type, and exactly like your's, the Spigen. But eventually I just gave up and not using any! My encounters with tempered glasses that I've tried will be lifted and can no longer be used when I tried to take off the case. Got to be super cautious when putting on/off cases although the glasses mentioned case friendly. About the Spigen Neo flex film, it will collect dust on it's edges and will looked tatty in no time. Going to be my last curved screen phone ever! 😂
Thanks for your input on this 👍
No worries!
Good decision...afterall nobody will cover his Ferrari just because he is afraid of getting scratches😂
Why only 8 likes, this guy deserves way more!!!
Wow! Thanks!!! 😭
You have to use UV Glue & Glass screen protectors. They are the only ones that work for curved screen phones with in built fingerprint scanners. If the glass screen protector you buy doesn't use UV Glue it won't work properly and you will have some find of issue.
Not true. You don't have to use UV glue screen protectors. I'm using Zagg invisible shield. I didn't even have to rescan my finger print. It cost about $40 instead of $60 or more for Whitestone.
@@samchu5890 Two questions,
Are you using a glass screen protector?
Is there adhesive under the entire underside area of the protector?
@@spectaculartech it's glass from Zagg. It comes with a tray. So you can align the screen protector on the phone.
@@samchu5890 Are you using a non curved screen device like an S21 or S22, Note 20 not any Ultra model?
@@spectaculartech I have a S21 Ultra. The Zagg invisible shield glass works perfect.
I used Dome on my S10+ and will use them again for my S21 Ultra, honestly been using tempered glass from them for almost 2 years now. No issues at all.

Is dome compatible with otterbox defender pro series? I'm looking that that one for my s21 ultra?
@@W1ldK1ttyK4t Can't say for the S21 Ultra, but I used Otterbox defender pro on my s10+ with the whitestone dome tempered glass and it was perfect. Just ensure to look at the instructions video for the installation of the glass.

@@DrkMaster planning on getting the dome on my s21U as well
Mannn this hits the nail on the head
Okay
Word if advice, everytime you use a new screen protector make sure to change your fingerprints so that they'll be updated and work better
Of course
I got a temper glass protector and am able to use my finger print reader no problem no circle cut out either, give the temp glass about a week to cure then when registering finger prints don't use a single finger use both fingers left thumb, right thumb left thumb alternating and you will get a single print that can be read by both of chosen fingers
Thanks for your input on this 👍
Which tempered glass protector did you get?
Thank you for this excellent video. I recently got a S21 Ultra and I got a tempered glass with the annoying circle on. Just seen your video and i got the Spigen neo flex and following your instructions, it was easy to apply, so thank you. When I clean the screen is it better to use a alcohol wipe or a dry cloth?
Both?
@@ljptech Thank you
Me I used as free installed film screen protector in my narzo , 50 pro.and I love it .the view very colorful .thank u narzo 50 pro for free installed screen protector ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Yeah....but now it feels squishy, gets scratched and dented easily and starts peeling off in like 2 months
Not surprised
Thanks. God Bless.
You have to go settings and go to display to turn on fingerprint sensor sensitivity. And remove your old finger print and rescan it. If you add a screen protector on Samsung Galaxy phone. I have the S21.
Thanks for your input on this 👍
If the idiots at Samsung had just put the fingerprint reader on the power button, they'd preemptively have removed one of the most annoying imperfections in their overpriced product...
Good point lol
I've never understood why company's don't put the finger print reader on the power button since yanno you've gotta press it to turn it on

Have had the tempered glass that uses a UV Glue since the S10 series! Has saved me so many times! If you know what you're doing you can make the finger print work with this glass protector too! Sorry but there aren't any films I've found that will advertise drop or impact resistance.

S20 Ultra LCD W/Frame ~$250

@@epicwithin4555 are you from the UK?
I believe the reason for this is that the S20 FE doesn’t have a curved edge so normal tempered glass screen protectors work fine and it doesn’t feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and rather an optical which will usually work fine with any tempered glass screen protector.
What is that lock screen? The matrix, where can I get it?
Samsung Wallpaper download
Yea these work better for finger prints but doesnt offer as much protection against drops as tempered glass.
Agreed
Based on what you showed, the one you got only has 1 star rating. Why not get something with 4.5+ stars. I have had tempered glasses on my Note 7, Note 9, S20+ and never have had any issues. The films tend to interfere with cases as time goes on which isn't necessarily the case with tempered glass.
It's VERY difficult to find one on Amazon if you tried

@@petrescuework-difficultcas6581 well done! Hope you enjoy!
i bought a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra waterproof case like that and it came with the circular sticker to put it over the front fingerprint circle and I took it to the T Mobile store to have a female staff to put the phone case in but she never installed the extra circular plastic sticker I was wondering do I need to put that sticker over the circular space, outside or inside the screen protector is it necessary does it works fine without it ?
Also it's impossible to clean the inside the screen protector without the dust and smudge coming in before the putting the phone back into the clear screen protector and outside the screen gets dirty easily as well, the installing process gets quite frustrating when the circular fingerprint doesn't go all the way black, it did by itself the first few tries the, tiny white specks gets inside the case and you have to take the phone out and clean it then restart the whole process again.
It's a very confusing process I don't use the circular dark finger print I never use it to lock my phone anyway just wish someone can show me how to installed it properly. I know it's more durable than tempered glass , does the tempered glass screen protector get smudges easily as well ?

@@ljptech lol. No? What on earth is it? I’ve never seen anything like it.

What if the phone falls on display & will it survive the impact as compared to glass screen protector ?
I doubt it
Screen protector doesn't protect from fall. It is used to protect from scratches. Use phone case instead.
@@Slada1 Yes brother , but my way of thinking is that whether the glass will be able to sustain the impact when fallen .
@@shriyashmangaonkar8542 it is too thin to protect from impact. I have used phones with and without glass screen protector. If you choose your phone without curved screen + case, its screen is quite durable. But I kept breaking glass screen protectors all the time. They seem to have no effect to protect real screen from falls. Thing glasa screen protector breaking doesn't mean that it protected your real screen from breaking too.
@@Slada1Agreed brother .
I'm upgrading to the s21 ultra from a s9+ and I am not happy about the curved edges. I could not find a screen protector for the s9+ and it seems to be the same for the s21 ultra. ( atleast one that actually stayed on/ didn't start to peel on the edge ) I honestly think I'm going to go bare for the front screen again like my s9+ bc its just so damn hard to find one that works with the finger print as well now.
Thanks for your input on this 👍
I bought a similar one, the armorsuit military shield and I'm liking it so much better than the tempered glass with the annoying circle. They recommend using a blow dryer to get the edges to stick better but I still couldn't get them 100%.
Yeah, because of the curve edge mine has gathered a bit of dust but still pretty good
Where you buying these dodgy TEMPERED GLASS SCREEN PROTECTORS with a circle on it?? You should buy from ZAGG Invisible shield. There the real deal TEMPERED GLASS! When you stick it on your phone, it shattered like real glass when you drop test them! Not your screen, the ZAGG INVISIBLE SHIELD Screen protector. @@jamieslater8991 how well does the fingerprint scanner work with those?

How would that protect your phone if you drop it though.. like it doesn't seem strong enough to protect the screen if you dropped your phone
I agree
I bought one it doesn't work, even after putting it at super sensitive
Exactly
The Spigen film protector doesn't look any thicker than the protective film which comes fitted to the phone from the factory and I doubt it's any better at protecting against impacts - it probably does a good job at protecting against scratches but so does the pre-fitted one. Best to leave the pre-fitted one on unless you really want something thicker to protect against impacts and accept that the finger print sensor wont work well if at all.
Thanks for your input on this 👍
