I heard that these liquid glass protectors are made from the condensed souls of past Nokia 3310 owners. Kidding aside. Please do a fourth test combining the two. Liquid protector first, and then put the tempered glass ontop of it. Hope this gets enough traction for Arun to actually try it.
I dont usually use a hammer on my phone screen so im pretty sure the way you said it would work just fine. I feel like this test is a bit bunk. No one would drop their phone in the way that would resemble a hammer hitting it. Other then that it shows the temperd glass is stronger but i feel that it sould have the liquid on applyed first then the glass then the liquid again just to be safe.
The alcohol swabs aren't to "disinfect" your screen. It's to remove dust, oil and streaks from fingerprints or makeup etc - before you put your screen protector over the top of it and seal the blemish in.
Thank you for the review. A few points: 1. While Dglass Coat has some effect immediately, it takes a week or so for it to reach its full strengthening potential. 2. When applying it, you should rub it in both a counterclockwise and clockwise directions. This helps it better seep into imperfections on the glass surface and makes it more effective. These facts were not included on the instructions until recently and Mrwhosetheboss could not have been aware of them. As for the test itself, hitting the phone hard with a very small surface area of a hammer is very different than the kind of stresses a phone will face when dropped etc. in normal use. For preventing damage in more likely daily-life mishaps, Dglass Coat is very effective in making the difference between a phone with a screen that needs to be replaced and one with no damage at all. However, if you want maximum strength greater than what you are likely to need, a phone screen treated with Dglass Coat with tempered glass on top would likely survive all but the most extreme trials without any damage. It should be noted that Dglass Coat lasts for the life of the glass and never needs to be reapplied. Finally, keep in mind that its use is not limited to screens, and it can strengthen any glass.
@@manuelgutierrez7656 Gradually stepping up the tests would have shown much more. He went directly from what most screens can take to a level of stress that is highly unlikely any phone will ever face. Dglass Coat can more than double the strength of any glass but not make it unbreakable. Where it is most useful on phones are those situations above what most phones can take from something like a high drop in real life but below something very extreme like getting pounded with the claw of a hammer. The proof of its strengthening ability was shown with the way it better resisted the hammer blows after being shattered. For a protection that is cheap and will last forever without ever having to deal with bubbles etc., it cannot be beat and it will keep your screen from breaking in all but the most extreme situations that most phones never experience.
I'm late to the party but something that's also important to keep in mind is that once these liquid protectors go on, you can't remove them. This means if you get a scratch, the screen will still be "protected" but since these act like clear-coats, you're kind of stuck with the blemish forever. Regular tempered glass however can just be replaced when needed. For the price, either get a case that has a screen protector built in or stick to buying a new tempered glass every now and then.
From what I understand, the liquid glass/ceramic coatings still need to be reapplied every few months or up to a year. (Glass needing to be reapplied more often than ceramic). That would lead me to believe that any minor scratch would eventually even out or could be buffed away, then you could just reapply a fresh coat of liquid glass
This would be good bundled as a premium product alongside a tempered glass protector. That way you get both the liquid protection and also the tempered glass - uhm.. assuming they don't interfere with one another. I'd buy it.
they wont. on my samsung a12 i had liquid, tempered, and bought this case with an included screen protectant. so it was a three way and the sensitivity was not disrupted. however, it wa svery annoying how dust can easily get inside of that case. but its a minor inconvenience to just wipe it off every few weeks over a broke phone
A lot of people have the wrong idea about these videos. I'm sorry you need someone to explain why people hit their phones with hammers or drop them from 10+ ft after applying screen protection or cases.
from what i've seen on your channel so far, I think adding this liquid screen protector then the Saphire glass protector on top would be the best screen protection routine xD
Sapphire screen protectors are currently only available for a handful of iPhone models, and are very expensive compared to glass. Sapphire also, while incredibly scratch resistant, is still somewhat brittle and is likely still going to break as a result of a sharp point impact.
I would suggest a more measurable test. perhaps a 2lb ball from "x" hight. that would allow you to calculate the amount of force over a given area to determine which is most effective and see if the liquid glass is effective or not. but for broad stokes purposes, that does demonstrate much more easily.

This tests are misleading bcuz hammering your phone doesn't show how much durable a screen protector is. If u really want to make things fair try to use tests as of jerry rig everything.
Neither are right, most of the time screens crack falling especially on the corner but if I had to compare I would say this is better than a scratch test
@@adityapshetty8653 no, you can find videos from back to 2000 with the same "liquid protection" phones will be able to absorb hits from hammers or dropped on flat surfaces. The only good thing about the test he did was using the back of the hammer which isn't a flat surface. Beware test of products with crazily flat surfaces or front hammer test, screens already do a good job absorbing impacts evenly
Great work. This was really helpful. My conclusion is to first apply a liquid protector, then add the tough glass sheet on top. That should result in an almost indestructible phone protection system. Maybe you can do a test using this method?
My takeaway from this is to use both. The liquid one on you phone, and then apply the glass protector over it. That way even the parts that aren't covers by the glass protector (like the camera section and home button) have some protection. The next question is what happens if you then apply the liquid treatment to to glass protector?
Great video mate, now I totally know that tempered glass is much more resistant than that liquid thing no matter what they claim, I've always used tempered glass and I'll keep using it.
Constructive criticism: Your tests aren't reliable, there's no way for us, the viewers, to be sure that the forces you applied in each test were consistent from phone to phone. Using your methods it'd be fairly easy for someone to manipulate the results because only you know how much force you're applying with your hand. *A more reliable alternative: Drop tests, just drop the phones from certain heights: there we can have fixed variables that are always equal: fixed height and fixed gravitational acceleration that can't be manipulated.
@@haidarzeaiter3723 the point is, he *could* if he wanted to. Therefore his experiment isn't reliable. Why use a method that leaves room for manipulation if he could use smarter tests?
@@jorgemarcelo4708 True you make a point if he does it at a certain height level drop for each phone the experiment would be much more consistent then doing it by hand.
Drop tests don’t have completely accurate variables either. If the phone turns slightly while it’s falling (which it will do) the angle changes the way the impact force is distributed which means you get varied results. Don’t be stupid.
wrong. Apply liquid screen protector 1st, then apply the tempered glass screen protector, then apply liquid screen protector on top of the tempered glass screen protector.
@@Moon420 there is no point of adding the liquid screen protected on the tempered glass. are you trying to protect the tempered glass screen protector? lmao
@@royisdabest well If that becomes more durable It'll probably make the screen below itself more durable, If the crack can't penetrate the screen protector then I'm sure it won't be able to get to the screen either lol
@@razrafzwell in the video he said he should put water 3 times for 3 layers, how about x10 water, then apply another liquid protector, then another x10 water, that's 20 layers of protection. Oof
Screen protectors are designed to protect from scratchs - and are not designed to absorb energy from a impact. I.E drop iton a sidewalk and it slides - instead of looking like you took sand paper to it, you can just replace it. and have a new looking screen. you can't expect a small piece of glass or plastic to stop a hammer from cracking the display.
Uh, no. Then they should be called “Scratch protectors”. They’re SUPPOSED to protect you against all kinds of physical damage, not just scratches. A hammer might be extreme, but there ARE cases where pretty high force is put against the phone, like dropping it on its face. Even if they’re supposed to stop scratches, that doesn’t make sense when they ARE strong enough to save your actual screen from when it could’ve been shattered. If screen protectors could save your phone from things other than scratches, isn’t that a fine reason for a person to use them?
These new liquid screen protectors use nano tech so it's supposed to protect the phone from any sort of impact. Except, these scientists are lying to us about nano tech of course.
the liquid protectors are at their best for scratches - you won't get a scratch from keys, pieces of sand in your pocket etc, while tempered glass is better at drops and hits; if you know you're unlikely to drop or hit your phone but want to keep your screen scratch-free, that's when you use a liquid protector (i propose the WowFixIt or Spigen solution, those companies are well-known and make good products)
There is one thing sadly you didn't test at all. It's not front face impact it's side impact. Glass shatters way more easily when hit on the edge. And phones that fall usually land on their sides more often than flat face down. If there is no protrusion, like smooth concrete or ceramic tile flor, if a phone falls face flat down it might easily survive. now if there is a small rock or something then sure it will break. So all in all, you should have hit the phone on the side as well, to see if the liquid solution actually provides more rigidity in edge endurance.
I'm more shocked at how pristine that untreated screen looked even after you scratched it with a screw driver. I've had phones be alone in my pocket for a few hours and there will be noticable hairline scratches all over...
@@kreonek4246 it maybe to your denomination. Here in PH... they're around 4-6K.. sometimes 10K. And it kills people to own such phones. Samsungs here cost around 15K for midrangers up to 60K-80K for the top ones. IPhones... are iPhones. 😁😂 Regardless... it's painful to watch.

Also Him : Am I a joke to you
Hahaha..ha.. not how the joke works but who cares anyway.
This tests are misleading bcuz hammering your phone doesn't show how much durable a screen protector is.
If u really want to make things fair try to use tests as of jerry rig everything.
Yep and not a representation of what kind of abuse the phone will suffer in real life.
Neither are right, most of the time screens crack falling especially on the corner but if I had to compare I would say this is better than a scratch test
@@shadmansudipto7287 will u hit yr phone with hammer? Dude scratch tests and bending is the real deal
@@morpheus6036 that's what I said.
You're going way softer on the liquid glass protector
*Scratch test*
Arun: uses an screwdriver.👍👍

@Tech Base lmao🤣🤣🤣
Great video mate, now I totally know that tempered glass is much more resistant than that liquid thing no matter what they claim, I've always used tempered glass and I'll keep using it.
Constructive criticism:
Your tests aren't reliable, there's no way for us, the viewers, to be sure that the forces you applied in each test were consistent from phone to phone. Using your methods it'd be fairly easy for someone to manipulate the results because only you know how much force you're applying with your hand.
*A more reliable alternative:
Drop tests, just drop the phones from certain heights: there we can have fixed variables that are always equal: fixed height and fixed gravitational acceleration that can't be manipulated.
Why would he manipulate something like this? This aint no constructive criticism, this is just make no sense
You forgot 1 thing: the angle.
You can't accurately have the same angle
@@haidarzeaiter3723 the point is, he *could* if he wanted to. Therefore his experiment isn't reliable.
Why use a method that leaves room for manipulation if he could use smarter tests?
@@jorgemarcelo4708
True you make a point if he does it at a certain height level drop for each phone the experiment would be much more consistent then doing it by hand.
Drop tests don’t have completely accurate variables either. If the phone turns slightly while it’s falling (which it will do) the angle changes the way the impact force is distributed which means you get varied results. Don’t be stupid.
Apply liquid screen protector first, the apply another layer of tempered glass screen protector
Invincible phone screen is now done
wrong. Apply liquid screen protector 1st, then apply the tempered glass screen protector, then apply liquid screen protector on top of the tempered glass screen protector.
@@Moon420 there is no point of adding the liquid screen protected on the tempered glass. are you trying to protect the tempered glass screen protector? lmao
@@royisdabest well If that becomes more durable It'll probably make the screen below itself more durable, If the crack can't penetrate the screen protector then I'm sure it won't be able to get to the screen either lol
go beyond! put another tempered glass on top of the liquid treated tempered glass and treat that one as well
@@razrafzwell in the video he said he should put water 3 times for 3 layers, how about x10 water, then apply another liquid protector, then another x10 water, that's 20 layers of protection.

TheGreatOutageSign yeah this bugged me so much
KodeyTheNeko Why would you be “bugged” about something so small?
@@DLBBALL 🤣🤣🤣 They don't protect scratches
These are what cases are for
Liquid screen protector is made for scratches not break
0:03 *_*Ali-A intro starts playing *_*
I'm more shocked at how pristine that untreated screen looked even after you scratched it with a screw driver. I've had phones be alone in my pocket for a few hours and there will be noticable hairline scratches all over...
That's really all I'm trying to protect from. Those extra fine scratches from having keys or change in my pocket with my phone.
