100% agree on the 007 branding; I have no interest in wearing a “007” branded watch. I do have some interest in wearing a watch that the character 007 WOULD actually wear (i.e. not with 007 plastered all over it). I chose the standard ceramic wave dial, black face Seamaster with the red shock logo and second hand tip. However, the Ti case/bracelet, the NAIAD case back, the heavily domed sapphire crystal, etc.... that’s a superb watch and worth every penny of MSRP.
I bought mine 5 months ago on the NATO. I'm a boy from the mid-sixties so I love the idea that the bezel will fade over time. I'm also glad they hide the 007 logos on the back too.
@@christopherjensen5007 I saw one in person last month. Looked and felt stunning, frankly. If I didn't already have an SMP300, I think it may have followed me home.
I would not have bought it if it had 007 on the dial unless this 007 could have been removed by a Watchmaker… The Seamaster NTTD does not have 007 plastered all over so it is great. 😉
Just picked this up today with both straps, NATO and TI. Fantastic watch! Love the weight and especially the lumes on the chocolate dial/bezel. Definitely a Collector's Watch! Thx.

So interesting how ageing is seen as a desirable feature in watches as well as in guitars. Even clothing brands are offering worn-in looks, like Carhartt. Something about it speaks to us, gives a greater authenticity of the product I guess? Reflects our own ageing maybe? Interesting!
Growing up I always noticed that middle class kids wanted the worn in look while the working classes wanted new and shiny- something about the grass always being greener perhaps. You can even my trainers/sneakers now for £400/$450 that look like they’ve been battered?! I don’t mind natural patina like on my timberlands or Barbour jacket but I’m less enthused about buying pre-patinad. I also think that cream is a nice colour and if we start seeing “aged lume” as just creamy it’s a better perspective

Been waiting for T&H to talk about this watch. I thought if It doesn’t happen then I’m out, jumping ship, broken hearted. After seeing this video and that watch I’m pitching a tent in my trousers. Dream watch for me, the end game of collecting for me.
Thank you for explaining what the arrow symbol above the 6. Agreed that I would not consider wearing a timepiece that reads 007 or ANY film memorabilia on the dial. If I could swap out the bezel insert for a ceramic one and replace the case back I would seriously consider purchasing this. LOVE that they finally took away the waves from the dial.
Fell in love with this watch when it was in an ad last December. I bit the bullet and bought it for my birthday in February. I still think I would have worn it more if the movie had been released and of course if I had been able to wear it our socially. Mine had a bracelet and my AD gave me a promo nato like the one in your video so I can choose. The watch is my favorite Bond watch so far...I also have the Spectre watch...if you can afford it I would highly recommend it.
I mean I can see this - I used to only wear sub 40mm watches but that was due to bad experiences. Upon trying more watches on, there are many 42mm watches that fit much better than I ever thought, it’s opened my eyes and collecting. Good on Christian for actually trying on larger watches, this one looks great on him.
This is a grail watch for me. Growing up in the 80s I was fortunate enough to ride around in the original Aston Martin from the the movie. My best friends dad traded a Ferrari Berlinetta for the movie car. I did appreciate the value as a child , but as an adult I treasure those times. I was not interested in the Rolex but fell in love with this Omega.
Now i have the (wonderful) watch on my wrist, with a mesh/milanaise bracelet - but i miss the movie. I can hardly wait until spring. Thank`s for the perfect video, greetings from Germany. Tom...
I agree, mesh is just wrong on this timepiece. It just looks like a cheap aftter thought to me. It’s like the designers spent so much time on the watch head and were ready to produce when someone said “ oh shit, we forgot the bracelet” so they raided the parts bin for one.
@@tonyrome655 the mesh was Daniel Craig’s idea, he had a heavy hand in designing the watch. He contributed to the bracelet and having it made out of titanium
It's nice how they have kept the classy original bond Nato strap to this vintage looking omega That is so much better then the titanium strap that i find just way to bulky but does look good.
First i liked the Black dial, than white, blue, grey/blue diver. What did i get? Grey dial with blue hands and Indizes Aqua Terra with the blue Rubber Band 😊. Love it. Yesterday i purchased the 007 on the Nato, fantastic. The topping is the lumed becel, which i would miss on a normal diver...
Great watch. When I saw it advertised I was unconvinced, but it looks so much better in person. The only niggle I have is that they are going for the faux patina, and vintage vibe, yet at the same time they've got the Helium escape valve and very modern font on the bezel.
It is a beautiful piece. I wish: 1. The bezel was ceramic given the price. 2. The faux lume was a touch lighter in color 3. Not a fan of the helium escape valve.
The aluminium bezel and dial are fine, if ever scratched the bezel can be replaced during service… So I don’t see any issues there. I have this watch and it is beautiful.
I was able to get an extra nato strap and I removed the 007 and OMEGA branding on the metal keepers by sanding it on a bench grinder. Now nato strap looks much better without the branding!🔥🤟✌🙌🤘👌👍😎
Nice review of a cool watch. I have the blue Seamaster Professional with the ceramic bits. I found your perspective on aging bezels and dials well put...that your watch "ages with you"; I never thought of it that way...it is nostalgic. I can't t wait to see the movie!

Great video. Nice faux patina on the watch. 42mm maybe too large for my 6-1/4 wrist having said that if the lug to lug profile is like a Seiko SKX then I might be able to wear it. The use of titanium at least it will feel feather light on NATO.

Honestly, those Omega Nato straps are hideous. The structure of the strap just makes the whole thing look bulky and convoluted. The Milanese Bracelet, which has a more streamlined and crisp aesthetics, is leagues better.
I like your videos but please tone down the sophisticated upmarket hipster persona just a tad. The tweed jacket, tortoise shell glasses, and affinity for everything "vintage" are sufficiently doing it for you.
I’m sorry but I HATE this watch ! They’ve just tried too hard to the point that it looks like a toy watch that’s part of the Action Man doll series, it looks cheap. From the poor strap options to the brown markings (which to be fair I wouldn’t class as ‘faux patina’) to the overly busy dial it’s just ugly in my opinion. Why you’d pay nearly x2 the price for this when a normal 300m could be had is beyond me.

I'll stick with my 5517 ♡
Love the look of the watch but way overpriced in my opinion compared to the standard SMP 300...
where. is. anna?
Honestly, those Omega Nato straps are hideous. The structure of the strap just makes the whole thing look bulky and convoluted. The Milanese Bracelet, which has a more streamlined and crisp aesthetics, is leagues better.
I am not into faux patina
This watch is just a different colored Tudor Black Bay lmao for 4x the price
Great hair. You are almost Q
Really don’t get nato straps, they all look awful and make even the most expensive watch look like a cheap POS.
No thanks. Not paying thousands of dollars more because James Bond wore it.
I like your videos but please tone down the sophisticated upmarket hipster persona just a tad. The tweed jacket, tortoise shell glasses, and affinity for everything "vintage" are sufficiently doing it for you.
No so hit
I’m sorry but I HATE this watch ! They’ve just tried too hard to the point that it looks like a toy watch that’s part of the Action Man doll series, it looks cheap. From the poor strap options to the brown markings (which to be fair I wouldn’t class as ‘faux patina’) to the overly busy dial it’s just ugly in my opinion. Why you’d pay nearly x2 the price for this when a normal 300m could be had is beyond me.
Remove the helium valve and put a open caseback and I will be the perfect watch.
FIrst.
Ya quick!

@@TheoandHarris I win all the raffles
Last
problem is Christian just seduces gerbils
Looks like a fake, when worn by that guy!
How would a guy, who loves vintage watches so much, adores and praises such Fautina deliberately made to look old/vintage???
