Thought I’d share this…first the rainbow dial Seamaster is very limited. I think 300. The yellow and green stones are a nod to the Jamaican flag. Why Jamaica? The first Bond film, Dr No, took place in Jamaica 60 years ago! Constructing a Milanese mesh bracelet in white gold is no easy feat. Those pieces are already allocated I’m sure. 🍸🍸
Ian Fleming's house, Goldeneye was in Jamaica. He wrote most of the books there and that is why Dr. No. was set in Jamaica, not far from Fleming's house.
Correct. I like the color and the nod to Jamaica. Ian spent a lot of time here writing the 007 books. Also, Live and Let Die and No Time to die were filmed in Jamaica. Bond and Jamaica have plenty of history together.

The side-by-side comparison makes the Seamaster's gem colors feel so much more sophisticated and intentional as opposed to the Daytona's. I can see why this watch is so polarizing but it definitely has potential for future iterations.
The one point where the Rolex gem gradient doesn’t stand up to me is the yellow to green it’s pretty abrupt while the other stones mix better. The omegas green and yellow mix is better but that’s all they focused on. I am sure they saw the same thing I did. 100% I have seen this watch and have said that. That was my take away actually that the yellow to green isn’t as prefect on the rainbow as all the other transitions are
After discovering the James Bond stamp maybe you'll rethink the abrupt transition of jewel colors at the 3 and 9 positions? The problem is that the abruptness isn't abrupt enough. It would've been better with a smooth transition of colors to take away any doubt.
@theoandharris. The bezel (especially if turned 90 degrees clockwise) is the life and armour bar from the golden eye n64 game which is displayed on James bonds watch !!!
