It's true about what he says about mob guys! I worked as a corrections officer for 32yrs! Mob guys take pride in how clean their cells are and how they do their chores! They take pride in how they look always clean and they take pride in the the food they cook just every aspect of life behind bars! They do their time in a productive way!

All inmates have to be clean, written and unwritten prison rules. If you don't bleach your cell and keep your stuff clean not only do the guards get you, so do the inmates.

This cat is the real deal. He is a very interesting character. Jewish/Korean who worked for the Italians. Sounds like he was a pretty high level associate too. Urbane, sophisticated and very calm yet there is this underlying sense that he is capable of extreme violence.
Mike, it would be interesting to hear from members that left NYC and settled in other parts of the US. I met a few guys that settled in the South and Midwest.

What divides Chinatown and Little Italy? I studied Chinese martial arts and when they came to train. The cops that were part of the school would leave class for that session. Law enforcement cannot be seen with under world figures. But I get where it can be seen as different or unique. My teacher is close friends with names mentioned in this interview. So it kept me engaged and brought back memories.
