The main reason why we got Serial Thriller in 2010 that was previously at Astroworld was because it was cheap.
This park is looking pretty rough. So many dead areas, all the rides need paint, etc.
Yeah it looked better 10 yrs ago but I think they're saving money for the big 50th anniversary in 2017.

Daniel A. Yeah I live 15 min from there so I go there pretty often. I'm just so desperate to go there now 😂 I miss going there during the summer so much since I pretty much grew up going there. I've been going there since I was 5 years old
+Uriel Galindo me too I live in Laval so it's a not too long metro trip there but I've been going there all the time since I was 7. It's just awesome having such a park in the city
Daniel A. Yeah I live in Greenfield Park near Longueuil and I like how it's right the middle of the city unlike most parks who are 20min from the city's.
I didn't know they added a haunted house! Last time I was their it wasn't their.. But that was like 2014
Correction : It's not all-year long. I go there every Saturday and I never saw that thing opened before September
Six flags decided to give that for their 2015 attraction and said it was goin to be an all year attraction

Goliath (La Ronde) is the worst B&M Hyper coaster.
Great video, I'm looking at the RCDB page, looks like a step child park besides Goliath which was opened in 2006. The latest coaster was Ednor in 2010, which yes, is a head banger. That would be a good question for the CEO if you guys ever get an interview. Why are some parks forgotten when it comes to new rides? All of that old school Arrow stuff needs to go.
+PastTime777 Thank you very much for the kind words. I think it comes down to the return on investment. Could a park like La Ronde really see a good ROI on something like an RMC or whatnot? Seeing other comments on this video, some people didn't even know Six Flags existed in Canada. I would love to see the park get some much needed love but time will tell. This was easily the best day I've ever had at the park and was my third time going. - Josh
+In the Loop I've heard so many rumours for the past 5 yrs that La Ronde is getting something BIG for the park's 50th anniversary in 2017 and pretty much all the employees and the La Ronde fanboys think it'll be a new coaster in le Cobra's spot but now it's kinda leaning towards a new RMC treatment on le Monstre.

if they RMC le Monstre it's gonna be ruined, classic wooden coasters like this should never change. I would prefer for them to add a new coaster over water, maybe a Dive or Wing coaster
Metal Coasters Yeah that would be better. Also they closed the gokart this season so maybe we could see a new coaster there that could go over water in the new future
B.t.w, when I go to La Ronde there's usually millions of people there last time I went there was a lot of people around 4:00

@@Technet9090 if you wanna go from papineau metro get off from metro come to road turn right and go straight after crossing the road there's a cat's pic and with that you'll see bus/ from jean-drapeau get off from metro follow the signs of parc jean-drapeau when you come out you'll see signs for laRonde buses

And the park looks trashy sorry. They should clean it up a bit. Some of the rides seem fine but a lot I could care less about.

I actually found that The Vampire was actually more fun and thrilling reversed than normal.
the slightly abandoned stadium was an aquarium a long time ago. the workers didn't take care of the dolphins, and the dolphins died. they are now banned from using that! I know alot about laronde, i love it :)
After the Aquarium, it was transformed as a Nintendo stadium for a couple of years (Still remembers playing N64s in that building, you had to enter by the left-side stairs that are closed now) before it was closed down again. Maybe today it is used as a storage area, only employees know about this. Might ask them tomorrow
Hey! Looks like you know big of LaRonde. Yep. You're right. The «Abandoned Stadium» is in fact an Aquarium in 1967, at the Expo 67. It was called «Aquarium Rio Tinto Alcan.
@@mathieuhoulee umm I think you've inverted the old cinema and the aquarium, basically the aquarium is still being used (they don't use the aquarium, just as a facility for the lake) but not accessible for the public and the cinema was the building that was converted to the Nintendo thingy, and today it is being used as a facility for the season pass and for the employee as a break/Dinner space (I'm not sure about that I'll have to ask one of my friends who works there).
@@Technet9090 Yes the old cinema became l'expérience Nintendo in 2010-2011 and then again in 2013. In 2009 it was known as the Cyberzone and from 1992-2008 it was a cinema of course.
But the old dolphin aquarium was actually the original Nintendo building. From 1967-1992, this building operated as a marine wildlife circus. After that, it became known as the 'Mégadome Nintendo until 2008. In 2009, it became a dark ride known as La Momie which was a ride themed to ''The Mummy'' movie. In 2010, it was known as Terminator X which was a dark ride themed to the Terminator movies. I'm not sure what this building was used for in 2011, but since 2012, it serves as a haunted house during Fright fest but it's main purpose is a storage facility. Interestingly, a lot of animatronics from Expo 67 are kept there. There are probaly animatronics from the old ride ''Gyrotron'' that was a ride that was build for the Expo and it closed after the 1979 season. This ride was standing but not operating from 1980-1983 until it was demolished to make way for le Monstre.
But yes you are correct this facility is still currently used as an employee cafeteria and also as the zone#1 rides supervisor's office. Basically zone #1 is the area of the park where Vampire, Vol Ultime and Orbite are. And usually this building is also the season pass facility but this year, the season pass section wasn't used at all.
Six Flags La Ronde seems like a beautiful Amusement Park, but I've never went to La Ronde before, I actually went to Six Flags Great America which is located in Illinois.
Pizza pizza is NOT Canada's number one pizza place everyone always complains about how bad it is and I should know cuz I'm Canadian
Ronde and Endor! Same thing but backwards! Because the ride Endor is on the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE PARK!
I don’t know why everybody hating this park it isn’t that bad.
It's not that great either, to be honest. Lines are ridiculously long when the park is busy in the summer. We're talking up to two hours wait for a good coaster.
La Ronde is falling apart, if you wanna have fun go to Canada's Wonderland
correction, here in canada pizza pizza is not the main pizza place, its really between pizza hut and little ceasers

6:00 that abandoned stadium was actually a dolphin pool, but the dolphin died because some geniuses threw coins in the water and the dolphin choked.

it's not a powered coaster, intamin doesn't do powered coasters, it's a tire lift.

The slingshot is closed because of an accident a couple of years ago . I live in Montreal and have never been to la ronde but we might have a field trip to laronde this year . I'm scared of roller coasters any advice

hahahaha it’s 2018 and well someone died in the cobra like is head was detached from his body but they took of the roller coaster for the animent park but i went to laronde and its sooo fun!
Never heard of that, you might have got confused with the Vampire accident in 2012, where an employee died because he wasn't at the right place at the right moment.
Wtf i know a lot of this park and le cobra was removed because it was not popular enough due to its location in the park

It was a Nintendo stadium in the noughties for a couple of years, before closing down again

FuryC Canada's Wonderland stinks. My daughter in law worked there in 2005. She was older than her co workers and area managers.
She worked in rides for most of the summer, but wound up on grounds crew for something that wasn't her fault.
And the ride are nothing to write home about, she says cedar point is a hell of a lot better than those parks combined.
Lynne Krainyk Cedar point and Canada's Wonderland are both part of the same company. And just because your sister had a bad time WORKING there doesn't mean it's bad at all. La Ronde is a six flags park, a different company than Cedar.
FuryC you're the one who brought up Canada's Wonderland. But you know, my son worked there during the same season. He didn't work much because of the people. Rude staff. Rides suck because they removed some classics that many people enjoyed.

Many people hate this park but it’s a very GOOD PARK. It may not have the coasters people want but it’s a great park in my opinion!!!
It isn't. We go there because it's the only one in Montreal, but the customer service is goddamn awful, and it's badly organized. Two hours wait for a ride, and they don't even add a second train. Loading/unloading operations take forever. It's badly ran.
