The CopyPaste story will never be as bad as mine. I was talking to this guy I was friends with (basic Instagrammer: posts every 5 weeks, has like 10 posts) and my friend goes "hey, send me a really embarassing photo of him, I want to make a meme". (The guy is a meme loving fuck, so we knew he'd be cool with it.) So, I went on his Instagram, to his first post, probably 36 weeks old at the time. It was a video, and he had made some unfortunate faces in it. I screenshotted a few, and as I went to send the picture to my friend, I clicked the wrong chat. Then, I sent a picture of the guy to the guy. It was so embarrassing, and I wanted to cry.

OK Emma, I have a few pointers I want to share and hopefully help you with. First off, what you like defines who you are. I never understood the point of hiding fandoms, even past ones... own it. If I were a fan of MLP I'd happily declare myself a Brony. I guess in your case though, it might go hand in hand with not wanting to share a part of yourself or your past, especially when it's even remotely related to sex (because the internet sheds more light on that than on a fuckin' runaway convict in a prison courtyard). Just don't be embarrassed by whatever you like, or liked. If you're afraid of judgment by strangers, well, that's the whole point of being a fan in the first place. If it sets you up in a negative way (e.g. 'all bronies are sad losers') then it's up to you to set things straight by example. I myself am a huge fan of the fighting game series 'Dead Or Alive', a series infamous for ridiculously sexualised females, and I try my absolute best to prove that not all of its fans are sad perverts who objectify women; I honest to god think the gameplay makes it the best 3D fighter of all time, not counting Soul Calibur. Secondly, Dodger wears the T-Shirts of her peers all the time. You shouldn't be embarrassed if you've displayed fandom towards a group that you yourself became a part of. Who else can say that 'I used to wear the shirts of my role models and now I'm one of them'?. If there are actual youtubers who feel awkward when meeting a fan of theirs then why the hell are they even making videos to begin with? And finally, you should not be embarrassed by your tattoos. Think of them as memorials of who you were at the time of having them. It basically displays your life diary right there on your body. Stop looking at it as 'God, why do I still have this tattoo of X' and think more like 'Wow, past me admired X so much that they chose to mark their very body with it, how I have grown since then'. You don't tear away the first entries of your diary as you're writing new ones: that's the whole point of keeping a diary in the first place. I honestly did not expect this all to have a theme but taking a look back, I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't be embarrassed of your past self. No matter how ridiculous your actions seemed at the time you wouldn't be in this current mindset without the help and actions of that person you're ridiculing. Oh, and I'm not a Brony. I watched a bit of MLP, it has some very nice writing for a kid's show, but not enough to make me a fan... But hey, more power to them. Even if Emma doesn't read this, hopefully someone will benefit from it.

I was talking to this guy I was friends with (basic Instagrammer: posts every 5 weeks, has like 10 posts) and my friend goes "hey, send me a really embarassing photo of him, I want to make a meme". (The guy is a meme loving fuck, so we knew he'd be cool with it.) So, I went on his Instagram, to his first post, probably 36 weeks old at the time. It was a video, and he had made some unfortunate faces in it. I screenshotted a few, and as I went to send the picture to my friend, I clicked the wrong chat. Then, I sent a picture of the guy to the guy. It was so embarrassing, and I wanted to cry.

OK Emma, I have a few pointers I want to share and hopefully help you with.
First off, what you like defines who you are. I never understood the point of hiding fandoms, even past ones... own it. If I were a fan of MLP I'd happily declare myself a Brony. I guess in your case though, it might go hand in hand with not wanting to share a part of yourself or your past, especially when it's even remotely related to sex (because the internet sheds more light on that than on a fuckin' runaway convict in a prison courtyard). Just don't be embarrassed by whatever you like, or liked. If you're afraid of judgment by strangers, well, that's the whole point of being a fan in the first place. If it sets you up in a negative way (e.g. 'all bronies are sad losers') then it's up to you to set things straight by example. I myself am a huge fan of the fighting game series 'Dead Or Alive', a series infamous for ridiculously sexualised females, and I try my absolute best to prove that not all of its fans are sad perverts who objectify women; I honest to god think the gameplay makes it the best 3D fighter of all time, not counting Soul Calibur.
Secondly, Dodger wears the T-Shirts of her peers all the time. You shouldn't be embarrassed if you've displayed fandom towards a group that you yourself became a part of. Who else can say that 'I used to wear the shirts of my role models and now I'm one of them'?. If there are actual youtubers who feel awkward when meeting a fan of theirs then why the hell are they even making videos to begin with?
And finally, you should not be embarrassed by your tattoos. Think of them as memorials of who you were at the time of having them. It basically displays your life diary right there on your body. Stop looking at it as 'God, why do I still have this tattoo of X' and think more like 'Wow, past me admired X so much that they chose to mark their very body with it, how I have grown since then'. You don't tear away the first entries of your diary as you're writing new ones: that's the whole point of keeping a diary in the first place.
I honestly did not expect this all to have a theme but taking a look back, I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't be embarrassed of your past self. No matter how ridiculous your actions seemed at the time you wouldn't be in this current mindset without the help and actions of that person you're ridiculing.
Oh, and I'm not a Brony. I watched a bit of MLP, it has some very nice writing for a kid's show, but not enough to make me a fan... But hey, more power to them.
Even if Emma doesn't read this, hopefully someone will benefit from it.

I have no idea. I second-guess basically everything I do to the point where I'd wager about 60% of my TH-cam comments are never actually posted.
