Emma, I highly recommend you listen to this band called Angels & Airwaves. I'm a musician myself, and their albums (particularly two... Love, and We Don't Need to Whisper) changed the way I look at music entirely. Both lyrically and melodically, those albums are a riveting experience, and some of the songs I've written today wouldn't exist if it weren't for them. You should definitely check them out.
As soon as she mentioned that there's one more band I was thinking twenty one pilots twenty one pilots twenty one pilots and when she said it I literally screamed. I went to their concert a month ago too

+Erika Balogh I used to listen to Tokio Hotel 8 years ago when I was like 8 or something and quite recently I discovered fob, p!atd and mcr and I love them ^^
The main albums that changed my life are: The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance. This album helped me make so many of my best friends, and changed my music taste and just GAH I LOVE IT SO GODDAMN MUCH. I probably wouldn't be here without My Chem. Folie à Deux - Fall Out Boy. This album thought me that you can express emotion, and feeling through music. Patrick's vocals inspired me to be more out there with my singing. I have a YouNow, and I sing on there when I have time. Madness - Sleeping With Sirens. The lyrics and vocals and just everything about this album is so special to me. Without this album, I wouldn't have found so many other great artists (PTV, BMTH etc.) and I don't know what I'd be doing with my life honestly.

Ultraviolence - Lana Del Rey (2014) I don't know if you've heard of any of these albums (well, you probably know about Troye's), but I definitely recommend giving some of them a listen. You've probably heard a song from Marina's album Electra Heart titled 'Primadonna'. It charted #1 in the UK around 2012/2013, the rest of the album is actually very moving and emotional, it talks about the problems of today's society and issues in modern pop culture. 'Teen Idle' talks about anxiety, depression and being suicidal as a teenager. I love all these albums, they hold a special place in my heart. I hope that, if you see this message, you will give them a listen!
I looooooooove twenty one pilots so muuuuuuch right now. They're helping me get through the toughest obstacle of my life. So much umphhhh to their music
Albums that changed my life From Under The Cork Tree (I can listen to this album for hours on repeat I love it that much) Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge Vessel Blurryface A Fever You Can't Sweat Out That's The Spirit Collide With The Sky All these albums have my go to songs and I adore every song on every single one of them
My parents a HUGE punk fans. Like Social Distortion, the Mighty Mighty Bostones, Volbeat, and Drop Kick Murphy's type punk and I've always been into the pop princess Justin Timberlake type music until I listened to Signed and Sealed in Blood, a Drop Kick album, and it opened my eyes to their (my parents') mindset and helped me bond with them on a different level. Since then I've been mostly listening to DKM and Volbeat and Flogging Molly, and that's how my family and I bonded, with punk music and concerts lol. I guess Signed and Sealed in Blood helped change my life because I was finally able to connect with my family on at least one topic.
My choice must be Billy Talent's self titled album. Unfortunately they're not thaaat popular, but they're kinda the reason why I'm playing guitar and writing post-hardcore"ish" songs :'D
Matt Beedham Glad there's someone here who likes em, too. :) Are you from US by chance? Here in Germany they've got quite a fanbase but I know that it's different in other countries, especially in the US.
yeah they should fix their eyes and get out they better get out sorry that was a cringy joke. I don’t love you mcr Edit: WIAT I LOVE MCR AS IN THE SONG I DONT LOVE YOU
i think it was regional at best by twenty one pilots, the song robbers by the 1975 or under the cork tree by fall out boy that changed my life. and to be fair, gerard way is a gr8 obsession to have
i'm a simple girl, i see blurryface, american idiot, blink 182's self-titled album, riot and three cheers for sweet revenge in the thumbnail, i immediately like
Bands that I'm currently obsessed with: My Chemical Romance, Sleeping With Sirens, Fall Out Boy, Pierce The Veil, Twenty One Pilots, Black Veil Brides, Asking Alexandria, Never Shout Never, Green Day, All Time Low, Attila, Nirvana, Falling in reverse, Paramore, the damned, panic! At the disco, die antwoord, mindless self indulgence, skating polly, creeper and more but I honestly cba to type
+emmablackery Emma, understand me! To be honest the only reason I started drumming was because of Pierce The Veil, by about a year into it, I was ready to give up... Then The 1975 came along, now I've been playing drums for two and a half years
I can't really think of a specific album, but I do know a song that changed my life forever: The Ballad of Mona Lisa by Panic! At The Disco. It's the song that made me emo :D
Some of my favorites (no particular order): 1. In Love And Death 2. Take This To Your Grave 3. Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge 4. A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out 5. If Only You Were Lonely 6. The Black Parade
I've like really big dreams and want to do some amazing stuffs. But I'm too afraid to go chase those dreams because obviously the path is difficult and has some consequences. Could you give me some advice regarding this, Emma? :)
+Syed Tawsif nothing worth doing is easy dude!! even if you never achieve that dream - the journey is what you live for. there's no such thing as a happy ever after! there's always another goal. so just apply yourself, get out there, work hard and enjoy it!!
BUTTERFLY EFFECT PROVEN If Emma didn't flick through the music channels to try and find pop music, she wouldn't have found Green Day. This broadened here ideas from crappy pop music. Therefore, she wouldn't have listened to or taken seriously Busted. Therefore, she wouldn't have learnt guitar. Her channel was a music channel to start with, hence its name, so this channel would not exist. As a result, she'd not be anywhere near as popular and not have toured with Busted. As a result, her flicking through music channels led Emma to achieve her dream.
twenty one pilots are the reason I am going to learn to play piano/keyboard; as they have helped me to realise what a beautiful instrument it is and how it can tell a story. I really love Tyler and Josh, they honestly mean the world to me. |-/ stay street, stay alive
When i was about 6 years old, i heard "5 colours in her hair for the first time" and it completely changed the way i looked at music, i remember dancing round to that and "Year 3000" in the living room and my dad took me to meet them both (Tom fletcher is a lovely guy!). But then i was stuck in a rut of pop music on the radio until got to secondary school and i heard "Black Parade" for the very first time, that album has completely changed the way i think and listen to music, this however was the same time they broke up

The twenty one pilots part had me smiling a lot :) They had the same impact on me
My parents a HUGE punk fans.
+twistedsister331 awesome!!!
Same, my parents love punk so much and I finally listened to those bands and I love it so much now
A Fever You Can't Sweat Out- p!atd
made me "the kid" and I absolutely love it
My choice must be Billy Talent's self titled album. Unfortunately they're not thaaat popular, but they're kinda the reason why I'm playing guitar and writing post-hardcore"ish" songs :'D
One of the most underrated bands, regardless of genre.
Matt Beedham Glad there's someone here who likes em, too. :) Are you from US by chance? Here in Germany they've got quite a fanbase but I know that it's different in other countries, especially in the US.
I think I listened to two songs by them, Fallen Leaves and Below?, if that's the band I'm thinking of.
River Below, yeah :D You gotta listen to songs like This Is How It Goes or White Sparrows! :)
RanDieBam Jeez. I must've heard those songs back in 2011. Been a looong time.
This is probably gonna sound dumb but mine are your two EPs Distance and Perfect because the inspire me and show me how far you've come. 😉

+emmablackery and their first album too its just called TwentyOnePilots if u havent already fam
Some of my favorites (no particular order):
1. In Love And Death
2. Take This To Your Grave
3. Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge
4. A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out
5. If Only You Were Lonely
6. The Black Parade
I've like really big dreams and want to do some amazing stuffs. But I'm too afraid to go chase those dreams because obviously the path is difficult and has some consequences. Could you give me some advice regarding this, Emma? :)
+Syed Tawsif nothing worth doing is easy dude!! even if you never achieve that dream - the journey is what you live for. there's no such thing as a happy ever after! there's always another goal. so just apply yourself, get out there, work hard and enjoy it!!
emmablackery thank you, Emma! You're always so inspirational and motivational. I'll definitely remember what you said. :D
+emmablackery my chemical romance makes me sad since their gone
BUTTERFLY EFFECT PROVEN
If Emma didn't flick through the music channels to try and find pop music, she wouldn't have found Green Day.
Rosa Aziz thats so beautiful 😢😌
twenty one pilots are the reason I am going to learn to play piano/keyboard; as they have helped me to realise what a beautiful instrument it is and how it can tell a story. I really love Tyler and Josh, they honestly mean the world to me. |-/ stay street, stay alive
14:04 I WAS WAITING FOR TWENTY ONE PILOTS. The first time I listened to them was when Migraine was released and they are SOOO good
Anyone else think she was gonna say Gerard Way when she was like "Black Shirt, Red Tie, Black Eyeliner" up until she said Green Backdrop
i thought that and then said green backdrop and i was like 'okay it's green day never mind.'
