The live solo of Domination is one of the best live performances ever recorded. Perfection.
No DOUBT!!!
We still out here 2020 dime
Seen it so many times, but now it's fun to see TH-camr reactions to it and they still love it so much.
Yes sir
EVER
I don't care what people say, Domination will have a bigger drop then any dubstep song

Yeeeeeaas
Dime playing Domination is still one of the coolest fucking things I've ever seen. Like, it's just a dude playing guitar... But it's not... You all know what I mean lol
wardkdouglas I saw a pantera cover band in the late 2000s called cowboys from Hell paso and they played domination and it was the most metal moment of my life and that was just a cover band
Hell yeah, brother!
Hell yeah we know what you mean!
I know brother. I sure know.
Hell Yeah!
the religious woman that dime was talking to at 0:39 was one of my dad's teachers and she would get mad whenever he would say anything about dime to her lol

+Buds Mcguinness duh

dylan scrogham it hurts my neck every time. Makes it sore as fuck. I might break my neck one day listening to metal
@Justice Hunderman Slayer is my favorite band but the breakdown of Domination is way better than the breakdown of Raining Blood.

+Justyn Fogarty never really thought domination was one of their best songs, but I gotta admit that solo and breakdown gets me every time.
Every time I hear that riff from domination it makes me head bang and stomp around like a dinosaur.
Efren Zuniga well said, bro
Hahahaha indeed
You too?
Yup
It's really sad to think about the fact that somebody killed this man, I don't think there has ever been a better dude to roam God's green earth than Dimebag.
Today's world, needs more Dime.
He would've been 53 this year, but still a kid at heart, a big fuckin kid.
Rest in peace, brother, getcha pull!
Really does mess with one's head to think that actually happened. I'm just getting into Pantera a bit more and I can see why this dude was so beloved. Not to mention that luxurious poof of hair on his head, perfect for windmilling.

RIP dimebag. he was such a nice guy. humble. I was fortunate enough to meet him shortly before he was killed. I met him in San Francisco, California during the headbangers ball tour, where oddly enough "Hatebreed" headlined over Damageplan. I had press passes because i worked for two webzines, and i was reviewing the show. anyway, yes, Dime was truly one of a kind. And I do miss the anticipation, waiting for that new Pantera album to drop. Those truly were the days. 😔
Andy Garcia pics or GTFO
assjulio79 You want pics of the event? hit up powerslave.com or twistedmusic.com. I was at the show on their dime (no pun intended). I would kill to have some of those photos, but I do have 3 guitar pics of dime's. one of which he handed to me right after playing "new found power. " This was a special deal to me, actually meeting Dimebag. Through the years, I've seen pantera multiple times, but never met any of them.
Andy Garcia I really wish I could have actually met him.i did go see Pantera 4 times during the 90's. Excellent shows every time too. RIP DD
Andy Garcia the very first time I saw them live was in 92, vulgar tour.
Andy Garcia dude I'm jealous as fuck, I was born in 02 and I'm in love with pantera, it makes me sad that I never got to see them live, even my dad says that he wishes I could have seen them live
2020 and I’m still sad that he passed away... Never got to see him live since i was 8 when he passed, but still have him in my heart. Greatest guitarist to ever live in my opinion.
its not an opinion its a fact that hes the best guitarist
saw him w/ Pantera at Ozzfest. Fucking killer show, I had goosebumps the entire set
"Satans got me by the left testicle" - Dimebag Darrell

+the snowdawg DONT FUCKING SAY THAT!!
+Benjamin Lewis-Skeath I know, its a bad thought. But it is unfortunately nearing the end.
+the snowdawg PLEASE STOP REMINDING ME
RIP
I spent a lot of time at his grave back when I was stationed in Texas. Hard to believe that Vinnie is buried there next to him now. Life is so short and so beautiful.
Dimebag is the reason why I love Pantera. The main riff to cemetary gates is such a big part of my childhood......It just makes me so fricken nostalgic everytime I hear it.
I'm surprised he didn't use a primal concrete sledge to beat that car.
Jacob Trull that sledgehammer was in the car, and the car was owned by the guy recording the video, dime said he would buy him a new guitar
a new car *
Sweet!
Dime used Primal Concrete Sledge
OMG YOU ARE AMAZING
The ending gave me chills oh my god. Wish I were old enough to actually see them live before they broke up and before Dime left us.
Pantera concerts were like no other concert trust me in this!
My dad saw them everytime they came to town. He even got in some of the pits. He said they were the most intense pits he's ever been in.
Patrick Petrie Damn, that sounds incredible.
Patrick Petrie That sounds fucking badass. Best concert I've ever been was a festival in NJ with Anthrax and Godsmack headlining. Although tomorrow I'm seeing Megadeth in Newark. That should be fun.
Slipknot (I know there not new, but newer than the band's you mentioned)🤘 I saw Pantera ,4 months before 911. I had just turned 18. Still got the ticket and the memories .
I would be honored if Dime destroyed my car.
XD
It would be cool but didn’t look like he had the strength to do much with that hammer.
It was his own mercedes? Lol
Room 237 he was kidding around, thought the same thing until I realized he was being funny!!
He shredded with an axe but couldn't swing a hammer to save himself.
This day, 15 years ago, Dimebag was killed.
Still hard to believe that the world just keeps on spinning without him.
I swear to god. If I had a time machine I'd travel to 2004 and stand between Dimebag and the bullet if it's necesary

First 2 videos when he was 18 is when I met him in San Antonio, TX in 1985. I was 19 and went to a rock club, can't remember the name, and Pantera was playing. They weren't too known yet. They had a white sheet as a backdrop with Pantera painted on it. It was Diamond Darrell (what he was known as back then), Rex Rocker, Vinnie Paul, and a singer named Terry. I have pictures somewhere and a real close up of Diamond Darrell with all that hair and blue eyes. He was so cute. He gave me a bunch of hot pink guitar picks that had Diamond Darrell on them. I remember some girlfriends and I went back to the band's motel room to party. And you can figure out the rest lol. Let's just say I have a few unforgettable moments about Dimebag Darrell 😊
now way you banged dimebag darrell
No way you slept with dime, how?
dat domination solo is probably the best solo did onstage by man, fucking god
But its Dimebag..he always nailed his solo.

+DaveandCruz what new Pantera album?!
I saw Dimebag play guitar for the first time in 1990 when he was with Pantera supporting CFH at a small club in Houston Tx @Backstage. It was and still is the best concert and live performance from a band and an individual I've ever seen...

Never ever
People tend to overhype people that die early and give them more credit than they might deserve, but Dime is one of those legends that no matter how much praise he gets, he'll always be underrated. God himself could get a Dimebag tattoo on his forehead, and it still wouldn't enough praise.
He fucking rocked.
His always been my no.1 metal guitarist since 92 brutal power on the guitar
Everyone in the band while onstage and everyone in the audience would have to stand humbled everytime Dimebag would play a guitar solo. There would be no denying the sheer class and talent of Dimebag as a guitar player.
I love that video of him playing at 18, you could already hear the subtleties of the devil in his guitar 🔥🤘🏻
goddamn I just love the shit outta the way the dude approached life. his philosophy was as awesome as his playing. a sorely missed icon
I strongly second your statement...
the snowdawg Thanks man! I figure the best way to pay tribute to the missing legend is by continuing to play the hell out of the guitar and live like it the hell up! XD
+Shotgun Zombie Yup, he was a human when he lived, but a god when he played... Even Zakk said that Dime was the finest.
the snowdawg Hell yes brother! The man is legend. Lots of the best guitarists had great things to say about him, including the likes of Satriani and Vai. If that isn't a testament to Dime's playing ability then I don't know what would be.
+Shotgun Zombie The fact that he influenced an entire generation of heavy metal guitarist would be one. That even in today's world where everyone and their grandma can shred like crazy he's still regarded as one of the best to have ever lived would be another. The dude was a truly mind-blowingly good player. While Pantera is known as a very wild, heavy band, Dime's solos have a very unique finesse to them. They sound very wild and untamed but they're actually really well thought out with each and every note carefully selected and placed. And in my opinion that's what made him so great: he was an incredibly tight and controlled player but you'd have to be crazy to call him robotic or soulless.
"Satan's got me by the balls!" My favourite guitar player ever. The sounds he could bring out of that guitar...absolute legend. RIP
I don't care what people say, dime is the best f'ing guitarist that ever lived on this earth

seeing him shred with 18, seeing me start playing with 23... wtf i wasted my life xD
Never to late, how is your progress?
If you really graft at it and play everyday and practice effectively you can get really good at the guitar pretty quickly
Your 27 now...
Hows it been?
4:18 Badass moment. He really enjoys playing and never heard a false note.
Totally love Domination. Favorite Pantera song and is one of my favorite songs of all time
The talent and emotion that flowed from Dime are unrivaled and will be. It wasn't a job or paycheck. This dude loved shredding and making music the he felt. It's rare to find a musician like that. Even more so now days.
this live version of domination should be sent to the alien, we could headbang together
Stanislas Lefort “the alien”
I've always thought the "devil's got me by the left testicle" was a Phil Anselmo moment.
I'm really not sure how anyone can think it wasn't. I knew this 27 years ago.
His Playing Skill STILL Amazes Me Everytime I See it.
That heavy breakdown makes me headbang and go crazy...
RIP Dimebag Darrell
I miss him SO MUCH...will never be another guitarist like him...NEVER
The first song I heard Pantera play live was Domination. I was 16 years old and it absolutely changed my world.
He was like all of us: loved to joke, do dumb shit and had some much passion for what he did.
72 thumbs down? Why are you people here in the first place?
Mike Sikorski To try and fathom why people think Dimebag is such a good guitarist. So damn overrated.
Andew, Seventh Sun of Edwad
He is only idolized because 90% of metal fans dont play music.
Dimebag was a great player, far from the best...
Andew, Seventh Sun of Edwad he was a great guitarist. You think Eddie Van Halen is gonna give up his VH2 guitar to someone who didn’t deserve it?
James J Yeah except for all those metal guitar players that said he was one of the best you asshat
They are Nathan Gale fans.
Imagine dime during the social media era😂. What a legend and what a loss.
Saw these guys on the FBD tour when I was 15. Pure mayhem. Met Dime when I was 17. Total gentleman.
Dime was a rare mix of humility, mischief, passion and original genius. RIP mate.
Dime made me want to be a metalhead
This dude's entire existence was unforgettable. RIP to a legend I'm so angry Ill never get to see him shred in person
Dime was born to perform on stage. He was truly one of a kind.
Creeeator studio never ever matched his live performances. they were on another level which you dont see with much musicians
The most unforgettable thing in this video-
Dime wearing pants...
3:07 from this interview the thing that I remember the most is when he said that it's an honor to play at the same stage with Ozzy Osbourne and his hope he will still play at same level when he get his age.
It was the truest pain to hear that words when you know he was murdered so young and he never reach that dream

I met Dimebag after the concert during the Cowboys tour, he tried inviting me to a party after the concert but I was 17 at the time and told him I was too young- later on I regretted that. He was a fun and super nice guy to chat with.
What an absolute legend!
I love his sense of humor, his attitude towards life, his personality and well...his playing (obviously!), but that should really go without saying.
I hope he and Vinnie can finally reunite peacefully now that they are together again.
