I saw Pantera once for Far Beyond Driven and twice for Southern Trendkill in Cleveland. Goddamn, they were awesome live.
It's so sad the way things ended. But Phil is a strong dude, I have much respect for him.
I wish I could meet Phil someday. On the exterior, he looks like a badass that would kill me with his bare hands. At the same time, he seems like the coolest guy you'd ever meet. What I also find cool is that we're both Louisiana natives.

I saw Down at Scion Fest in Tampa more than a few years ago now and Phil's banter was amazing. At one point (I wish I could remember which song), the band paused and the lights went out. Phil booms in his croaky voice: "Pepper Keenan... play the RIFF." The band kicked back in twice as hard. It was unbelievable.

I knew this guy who once met Anselmo;
From what he told me, he was in the VIP area at Bloodstock using the toilet one morning and whilst doing his business he hears someone trying the door.
After he's finished he opened the door and is greeted by Phil Anselmo, stood in front of him, as clear as day.
There was initially a little bit of an awkward silence between them both, until Phil pipes up with;
"You keepin' it warm in there for me, brother?" (In his deep Southern US accent of course)
To which he responds with something like;
