Looking forward to giving it a try. I have most of the NB line, including the v1 of the Pacer, which I did not love and only wore it on the track a few times. I do HM and Marathon race (most of my races these days) in my SC Elites v.3 for HM and v.4 for Full, but will have to see where this might fit in. Thanks

Rebel with a plate sums it up. Not sure I want to pay $200 just for a race day shoe, but this one is intriguing for sure.

The elite is really the rebel with the plate.

Full peba midsole is very different than rebel eva peba blend
This year’s NB shoes are looking way better.
It's the same price as the metaspeed sky/edge paris on RW in Aus...I guess it's good for NB that their competition sells out so quickly.
Laura Phillip used these last week in Challenge Roth. 2:46 Marathon; 8:14 overall (3rd fastest female time in history of long course triathlon). Interestingly, Laura used Elite V2 and not V3 last year in Kona (3rd place), and now she was on the pacer V2 and not the elite V4.
For the full review we want to know if the midsole in Pacer 2 got the same PEBA blend as the Rebel 4 (80% EVA / 20 % PEBA)
I think they misspoke when they said blend. When the shoe was originally announced and NB was asked in interviews, it was quoted as 100% PEBA, so the same foam as the Elite v4

When Thomas started talking about the old Pacer I thought he was going to bring out an ooold shoe, but then I realized I confused the Pacer with the Vazee Pace. Anybody remember those?

Bit disappointed in the BTR team saying it is a PEBA blend and doing the same again in their podcast. Running Warehouse did an interview with NB rep 7 months ago with the specs. For shoe reviewers they get it wrong a lot. They are entertaining but I don't think I'll be relying on them for shoe reviews going forward. Entertainment yes! 🙂

She hasn’t been allowed to because it hadnt been registered as a prototype of the world athletics shoe compliance list
I don't think that's the case and it's a bit weird that she wouldn't wear them in any her personal training post (to my knowledge)

stop using ounces! nobody knows what an ounce is outside the US. Ounces are ridiculous.
It’s okay, the key takeaways turn out to be pretty round numbers. 10oz is my cutoff for “heavy even for daily trainers” and 8oz is roughly the expectation for lightweight speed day shoes
