Im a teacher and I recently had a conversation with my grade 6 learners and they have such a huge interest in knowing their african history. I'm glad such projects exist because they might not be able to watch now but they will be able to refer to thus in future. I love this for africans
I’m surprised Carte Blanche did not investigate further on this. This series was produced without the consultation of the Balobedu people nor its royal council. Infact, the Balobedu have taken it to court to try stop it. It is now being promoted as a fiction by Duma Ka Ndlovu. As we await the debut today to see the outcomes. All the best to them.
This documentary was more of a predatory money making project than a piece of work aimed at recreating a more like true history of the Modjadji history. Failure to properly consult with the people show sinister motives by the film makers. Its embarassing.
It’s shocking that they downplayed the history of that family and their culture. I grew up reading about them and watching a few clips of their rain making ceremonies. Up until the last queen died leaving an infant daughter who was then adopted by the minister. This movie is disrespecting their whole legacy
It should be a so called coloured queen. She has risen live in Durban and she Queen Letsie the Third. This is really happening and she's going to Avend all evil on this planet 🎉

❤I love the fact that the whole of South Africa get to hear the beauty of our language khelobedu❤
Yea, but Khelobedu strikes me as just another dialect, really!... I can hear a combination of Sesotho sa lebowa and Venda in a lot of words.

How is this a carte blanche story?
Drama at its best 😂
