I worked at the FET College in Kuruman and we did outreach programmes in all those villages. The young people in those communities have so much potential and they are extremely eager to work and make something of themselves - we tried our best at our small campus to get them into the college with NSFAS and guess what when I left in 2016 we were one of the top FET campuses in the country because of those young people from the villages around Kuruman. The people of Kuruman are more valuable than all the minerals beneath the ground they only need opportunities and they will show you.
Thank you for doing that. I grew up in Kathu. The kids from Kathu, Dingleton (RIP), Deben, and Sisheng are exactly the same. The stories of these are a testament of poverty and generational wealth.
All the complainants will again vote cANCer. They only get one thousand rand? Still better than us tax-payers who pays for the roads that these trucks destroys.

The community was entitled to R300 million+ stolen by the local individual who claims ownership of the Trust. The Russians paid out the money to the trust according to the financials. I find this piece very bias toward the Russian oligarch and unnecessarily so. The Russian side owns 49%, the SA side 51% (of which 8% must go to the community). If 51% of the profit is effectively going to the South African side, I don't see anything to charge the Russian tycoon for. The SA side is responsible of allocating 8% to the community. This piece drowns the real tragedy of a community that is being stolen from in the pool of cheap Western propaganda. This is a case of using the genuine suffering of a community to score points against Russia in the unjust war they are waging in Ukraine, it does nothing to actually help the community or hold accountable the South Africans defrauding them.
Poor black people, always victims of this or that. In a nutshell, the people of the village were given free shares.....and they receive R 1 000 a year because they accepted the free shares and now they are portrayed as victims of an unjust system because they don't work and have to live of grants. This reminds me how my community was promised a new clinic. Our elderly were gathered and shown plans for the new clinic. Work was begun foundations dug. The issue is the community’ education level, at the beginning they had leverage and should have negotiated better. It’s more like regardless of mining or not they will still be poor as they’ve no skills and means to mine manganese.

All that matters is how much they feel connected to their representative. Ok Carte Blanche, Russians played the card they were delt. As South Africans our issue is with the ANC and the leaders. Everyone from the outside plays the card delt by the dealer (ANC people)
I find this piece very bias toward the Russian oligarch and unnecessarily so. The Russian side owns 49%, the SA side 51% (of which 8% must go to the community). If 51% of the profit is effectively going to the South African side, I don't see anything to charge the Russian tycoon for. The SA side is responsible of allocating 8% to the community. This piece drowns the real tragedy of a community that is being stolen from in the pool of cheap Western propaganda. This is a case of using the genuine suffering of a community to score points against Russia in the unjust war they are waging in Ukraine, it does nothing to actually help the community or hold accountable the South Africans defrauding them.
Carte Blanche is likely funded by US organizations and they will report news according to the wishes of their Western taskmasters.

Apply for bursaries from the same companies, use them to your advantage, engage them send your community leaders to go and request aid from those companies and shall see.

In a nutshell, the people of the village were given free shares.....and they receive R 1 000 a year because they accepted the free shares and now they are portrayed as victims of an unjust system because they don't work and have to live of grants. Also the foreign investor is being tarnished because he is Russian and he is a wealthy successful business man that has made a huge investment in the poorest region of South Africa even though he is sanctioned because of his nationality. There is no hypocrisy in this reporting and birds should be shot because other animals cannot fly.
Keen to see which way the community votes come the next election.

This reminds me how my community was promised a new clinic. Our elderly were gathered and shown plans for the new clinic. Work was begun foundations dug. A few weeks later the foundations closed up and instead they removed the old fence which was okay and a new fence erected. In place of a new clinic as shown in the plan they installed containers

The issue is the community’ education level, at the beginning they had leverage and should have negotiated better. It’s more like regardless of mining or not they will still be poor as they’ve no skills and means to mine manganese.

All that matters is how much they feel connected to their representative. In this instant though they had leverage and if they were educated, that is, understand what mining needs to operate like resources etc, they should have forced the consortium to say buy them trucks and the community runs them and they get paid. Instead they expected these crooks to do everything for them and all they do is sit at home and expect money to come through.
So basically you're saying "Let them eat pap" because they aren't educated!
