Hi I'm very grateful for your tutorial, today I have been following it but I'm now stuck and hoping for a reply. I'm now at 2.54 where it says turn steering unit bolt head is accessible, is this point meaning the pinch bolt through the hole in steering motor ? I'm just stuck because it says NOW LOCK STEERING VERY IMPORTANT but when you turn steering until it locks, then the bolt is no longer accessible, any help would be appreciated. Mark
Thanks for your comment. Yes. So turn steering to access bolt and remove. Then turn in straight ahead position and lock. Now you have a reference. So it can be fitted back exactly the same. Hope this helps you and Good luck!
@@How2FixIt1 oh I see, it's just the video states to lock steering and then remove the bolt afterwards. So I can remove bolt then put steering straight before removing the steering wheel. Thank you 👍
A few years ago i had a punto mark 1 and power steering went , fixed it for about £30 by getting a motor from scrapyard , ive now got an opportunity to buy another one cheaply with same problem but its a mrk2 , ive heard these ones need new motor coding? any idea if this is the case please , thanks
@@How2FixIt1 2hrs, all done, problem fixed, getting the air vent back in was the worst bit lol 6ft 2 in the footwell of a punto upside isnt where i wanna be 🤦♂️

As far as I am aware. They don’t need coding. I might be wrong if corrected.
Hie family l have a question does a steèring motor of a fiat punto 1,2 i works on a 1,4i fiat punto please help me
Hello there. I think it should be the same.
My Fiat Punto emotion 2009 model steering hard any idea oil level ok.
If it has this motor then it won’t be fluid. If you pop off the cover under steering wheel you should be able to see if it’s a electric motor.
@@How2FixIt1 how long does it take start to finish to replace if i buy a new unit, ready calibrated. Thanks
@@markoakley1411 it should take about 2 hours if your a diyer/mechanic about three if not.
