    Hi bro, my 2019 ecosport diesel has done 34k kms, I’m hearing too much road noise and suspension is very stiff, it makes a thud sound even on small bumps especially the rear, feel vibrations in the steering too when I go over bad roads, I got it checked by ford mechanic and a fng mechanic, both said it’s normal but I’m sure it’s not, my uncle’s old 2014 ecosport is so much better, what do you think should be done to fix?

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Have to do a complete suspension check. Might be a bushing issue in front. and..the thud sound on humps from back might be a worn bump stopper.

    Why steering hard after change of link rod and low alaram

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Link rod and lower arm if correct one wont cause any hardness. If its a electric power steering, should check the motor. just for checking....jack up the car..both sides, simply try to turn the wheel by hand...not by steering wheel nly by wheels...check if it has a resistance...

    Bro where are you from

  • @urumipparambil
    @urumipparambil ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Instead of replacing the whole steering rack and lower arms with new ones, why it cannot be repaired by using components from original equipment manufacturers? the lower arms look quite good except its rubber bushes and ball joints, which are readily available in the markets for a pittance.The rack need , may be replacement of the neoprene bush, the small bearing on the pinion and some greezing of the whole part. In the case of balance rod the right thing is done by replacing the rubber bushes instead of replacing the balance rod column itself.
    The complete work can be completed with in some two hours and the expenditure for parts and labour will not be more than Rs 3000/-

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its the ball joint and bushes that costs in a lower arm plus pressing charges. And we wont get the oem quality ball joint anywhere..even if its an aftermarket ball joints plus bushes for both side plus pressing charges...and ...the column was filled with water not grease. only one inner tie rod was good. So total.... complete rack cleaning, bush pressing, 2 outer tie rod, 1 inner rod, yoke, 2 lower arm ball joint, 4 lwr arm bush...and the labor...all these for 3k? and the stabilizer links n bush....3000 Inr??! 😯😯 you must be joking ryt....

    • @urumipparambil
      @urumipparambil ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No bro. I wasn't jocking. In Boodmo each of these are available with price. And the pressing charges are also very less. Another point is, if one has the tools, this can be done ourselves.

    • @dailyhandsdiy
      @dailyhandsdiy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup you must be talking about aftermarket parts...oem..inner rod alone costs 1500 for a piece, 600 pp for outer rod, 600 pp for stabilier link, no oem for ball joint and bush for lower arm and even if aftermarket good, ball joint 900 for pair and 1000 plus or minus for bushings for both sides. steering rack parts not included no labr included. so cannot conclude at 3k ever. Also i had many instances where some aftermarket never crossed 8k km mark...buy cleverly not cheaper. Here the vehicle is good for another 60k 70k km...whats good if i have to change these parts at every 15 or 20k kms?
