Nice one Tony. A beautiful ‘elmet. I have an Ex-Zero otherwise i would consider this. I bought a Shoei Neotec 2 I wanted a flip top lid for touring the French Alps. I fitted a Cardo Edge. Both have been somewhat disappointing. The helmet runs far too hot in temps above 22c. I’m constantly opening and shutting the visor at lower speeds and I’m struggling to hear the comms over 60/70mph even in full volume.perhaps I need to get my ears syringed 😂
I actually have that helmet and love it for a sunny hot day. I have 2 mainstay helmets, this and my goto helmet a Shoei GT air both in medium. As I said the Scorpion for me is for a hot day and the reason for that is that big wide aperture but also the fit isn't as air tight as the Shoei so as the speed increases I get a lot of air coming up from underneath the helmet particularly at the back which is great for cooling the noggin. Love the colour scheme goes well with my gold and black Harley 😆 The magnetic visor thingy works ok but I find if cracked open and the speed increase the visor slams shut, the magnet could be a little stronger. I also like the versality of the front end, take the visor off and you've got open face ventilation but safer, worn with sunglasses or goggles, just a pity there isn't a quick release for the visor. Great review just had a few more experiences of the helmet to add to yours.
Great review , I like scorpion and have th 960 , also like shoei they are different but visoin on the Scorpion is something I appreciate a lot. Alain & Yellow
I love the styling. I bought a Scorpion helmet from England when I lived in Portugal. Came out too big and had to send it back which is an expensive hassle when abroad. I'd have to try this on in a shop. Is that a one-piece suit, Tony? Excellent review. Nick [back to the old username, plus a bit]
A very striking design, sort of ultra modern and retro at the same time, I had a Scorpion ADX-2 which I bought online, wore it once and it just wasn't a good fit for my shape head, gave it to a friend and he loves it.
Nice one Tony. I love the looks however would like your thoughts of which Shoei you’d prefer. As I’m also a size large and having just two shell sizes is a negative for me.

I like the Shoei Hornet, but they still haven’t released a 22.06 version. For a standard helmet the GT-Air II is good
