It always confuse me sometimes when the female characters from the Ultraman series transform into the ultras themselves yet they retain the male appearance and not into a female version of the ultras. However I do like Carmeara (Trigger), Dinas (Decker) Grigio, Beth and Marie
If you are referring to Ultraman Justice, he's a male Ultra to begin with. He just assumed a female human form because, well, justice is genderless . Same as Ace, a male Ultra who had a female host. Dark Faust on the other hand is a female Dark Ultra. She was never designed to have female traits to hide her host's identity.

Ultraman didn't choose gender, they chosing a person who have pure heart and big responsibility especially when person willing sacrifice themselves for protect people. Well, i watch all ultraman series (mostly top one my favorite ultra is Zero)
