just checking, you _do_ play the game normally too right? the no roll etc content is very cool and shows off a lot of interesting things about bosses, but I hope offline you also do some rolling as a treat 😂
@@nousernameleft999 I have only done a handful of bosses in this game with rolls. I plan to do shield only at some point and then there will be rolls :P
I like this video! Thanks for uploading. I don’t do challenge runs, but I’ve tried beating this guy at low levels before, but he just has so much health and does so much damage; the fight/moveset is so simple but it feels like an endurance test. I’ll study this video and give it another try.
I honestly think the uneven arena is part of the fun of this boss, can't fathom how anyone would prefer having 2 bosses flailing at you at the same time over this, but oh well. Nice fight as always.
I'm also curious. When I am learning a boss, I mostly just don't attack and focus on avoiding... But wack attacks in a non-flat arena make that inconsistent
@@C-R-l-M-S-O-N I only check hitboxes on some bosses if I can't figure something out, or it seems weird. Typically trial-and-error is enough to get there. Facetank with a trainer or a high vigour second character until success
My "favourite" part of this boss is when it jumps back onto the little plaza next to sanctum and starts attacking through railings. Gg terrible arena for what is a decent moveset
@@szarkuwu Agreed. If this was in the duo arena it would be a fairly enjoyable boss. Alas! The fact it just walks straight through the railing while it's a wall for you is annoying as well.
Gargoyles are actually good enemies with good moves but their arenas always suck doggypoop for some reason. Why on earth on positioning based enemies you limit character positioning with slopes and stairs
It would be a fun encounter if it was in a good arena (and they put one of the worst bosses in the best arena)... I've gotten hit multiple times by swings that were visually way above my character. I've also had a lot of stuttering in this area.
Fear not a man who has practiced 1000 bosses once, but a man who practices one boss 1000 times.

@@mouseinatutu Shield-only is very fun in ER because of how many options you have!

Thanks for watching! And GL
I too love fighting bosses on slopes so peak

tfw the stairs are your greatest enemy.
holy maccaroni
Thank you. Great fight.
You made me feel bad for a gang the first time of my life
What's the process for learning to do this? do you look at the hitboxes to see what you can get away with?

Another display of skill well done. Is the arena the only reason you dislike this boss? I love BBK but also despise this arena.
Yeah, it's entirely the arena's fault
@@mouseinatutu common elden ring L honestly

I LOVE BOSSES WITH SLOPES. FIRE GIANT, PONTIFF, BLACK BLADE, PEAK PEAK PEAK (gg btw)
What slope does pontiff have besides the tiny little stairs
@@rigorm136 Those tiny little stairs are cause for a whole lot more anguish than they seem (if what you are doing is no roll)

Hell of a choice, innit?
If he was in a flatter arena would he be better?
Infinitely better. I don't mind the duo version at all

Absolutely. This place lags bad for me as well.
I hate that ER Gargs have a good moveset, when they dont fit on the screen and patrol the worst arenas to fight a boss in
Yeah, the best place to fight these guys is the duo, and then you have to fight them while dealing with poison mist spam...
Yeah I fought this guy super under levelled recently and the fight is something else.
Your damage for rl 1 is also something else LOL
DLC gear goes brrrrrr Edit: Also this is unupgraded weapon lol. Imagine +25 or something
looks like a terrible fight but I’d probably still rather fight this goober than consort radahn
