    Got the blu-ray, watched the Budokan show and agree with everything you said. So cool to have the last show with the original 5-members and at such high production value.
    Now I need to watch the club show!

    This also is a historical record of the end of the band working with their (almost 6th member) Song writer and producer Kensuke Akiyama. Akiyama wrote almost all of their top songs and his work developing the ladies as song writers was shown in the originals from Haraguchi san and Hazuki towards the end of his tenure. Losing their genius producer/songwriter AND Saki was massive but as we have seen from their latest single Nemophila are fighters and won't be beaten. I'm heading to Nagoya to see them September 13. I can't wait to hear their new songs that Mayu says will be played in their Japanese concerts in August/September. Mayu said Hazuki has already written a new song while they recorded G.O.D. so I'm sure it will be amazing.

      @@yakidin63 absolutely. Parting ways with Kensuke was huge and it was kinda strange that it happened around the same time as Saki parting ways which made me think it was probably a higher ups decision and not so much the band members. Who knows, really. I love the new single and I’m sure it’s gonna be an awesome release whatever comes next. I did start to wonder if the next release was going to have less outside writers and be more written by the band themselves. They’re quite capable of doing it on their own. That’s rad you’ll see them next month. I wish I could but I arrive like a week later 😭

      @@TheLongGoneLoserRockShow Yes the timing was strange maybe just coincidence but the band has proven they will be fine and I knew they would. All great musicians and IMO Hazuki is just as good as Saki. Even when Saki left she said the band will be fine. Also Kensuke posted he enjoyed working with the band and would like to one day work with them again. All the band members said the same. It is not unusual for bands to switch producers. Quite a few of my favorite bands over the years have switch producers for albums numerous times. which I think is good. Try new things and different point of views . But at same time I do not see a huge change coming from the band. They have always been diverse and I think they will always be. Not having a second lead shredder could limit some diversity like those amazing harmonizing solos but Hazuki is very capable of playing both parts of most of their songs that have those duel solos. She did that back in May when they first played live for first time with four at NAONのYAON 2024. Which someone recently posted here on youtube. Hazuki shredded both solos on Dissension and Revive. Of course on some songs they might change the structure like on Rise and Oiran where Haraguchi-san added in bass solo which I hope we see even more on. Nemophila is doing great. With Hazuki in the lead limelight now and Haraguchi-san kicking ass and of course the backbone with one of the best drummers in Tamu and then of course Mayu who is amazing singer with that unique voice they are continuing to rise. Future is bright as alwas has been for this band. One of my favorite in the world. I watched the livestream of this show and also got the bluray too.

      @@kawliga4845 I think the biggest shock about Kensuke parting ways was their main songwriter is now gone. He knows how to write one hell of a tune. That dude is so freakin’ talented to be able to write those songs and structure them like that. A freakin’ genius! He definitely has a magic touch. G.O.D. Is a sign though that they will be doing just fine without him. It’ll be different but I’m sure it will rock. That new track slays! Looking forward to the next one.

    I literally just watched both those Blu Rays on the weekend and not for the first time either. I totally agree that they are both brilliant in their own way. Seeing Mayu running up and down the full stage at the Budokan before disappearing then suddenly bobbing up behind Tamu is priceless! I also agree that the Sendai show, whilst a smaller venue, was every bit as good as the Budokan show in its own, more intimate, way. I just WISH I spoke Japanese so I could enjoy the band's banter with the audience as well. These two Blu Rays, along with their three previous Blu Rays are my most prized possessions! I just hope they come to Australia some day. Meanwhile we wish Mayu a full, and hopefully speedy, recovery from her nasty throat issue. It's no doubt extremely frustrating for her.

    Excellent review! New subscriber. I was blessed to attend this Budokan show and it was perhaps my favorite of the hundreds I’ve attended. Yes I am a massive fan of Nemophila, so the comment might be biased, but not by much. I was also fortunate enough to see them in one of the smallest venues (most likely) they have performed in. You will never get to meet the band with handshakes in the larger venues outside of Japan. I presume the reason is partially due to the limited English skills by many of the members. In other words, I’ve never seen a VIP meet and greet outside of Japan. With that said, Nemophila brings the same energy to every size venue. The only thing you miss in the larger settings, is the production spectacle, due to cost versus revenue. If I had to choose my favorite between the two I’m specifically citing, it would be incredibly hard. Each show of the four I’ve been to had their own charms. Fantastic band and Blu-Ray. ❤️🌸

      @@michelm.6033 thanks so much for your comment. I really appreciate that and you are so very lucky to have seen them and to have been at the Budokan show. It looked like such an incredible experience. I’d love to see a show but whenever I am in Japan, they always end up booking shows like a week or two before or after my time there. Hahahaha like this time they play the end of September and I arrive in October. What are the chances of that?!?! It always happens. One day I’ll see them. I’d love to interview a bunch of these bands as I have a friend who will translate for me and the bands to help the interviews along. So that’s a huge help. But trying to get anyone in the PR teams to respond to an email seems so damn hard. The smaller bands are fine with it.
      Plenty of interviews with kickass Japanese bands coming to the channel. Stay tuned for that. Thanks again. I hope you have the best day ever. Cheers!

    This is a peak for Nemophila. I hope it was their first peak rather than their only peak. You can see Saki is giving her all as Saki, she was there for Saki and she was clearly not in full sync with the other members, even if she was as awesome as ever. After this they parted ways and their main writer, producer, and silent sixth member, called it a day too. They have some rebuilding to do and they will never be the same. Maybe they’ll be better? I don’t know, but I do feel like they should have replaced Saki at least. This is an excellent Blu-ray though, and if you only buy one Nemophila physical media, make it this one.

    • @TheLongGoneLoserRockShow
      @TheLongGoneLoserRockShow  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@allanmoger1838 yeah both of them parting ways at the same time tells me it was a bigger move than we may think. But this is the peak so far. This performance rules. I dunno about Saki not being in synch though, she looks like she’s having the time of her life but if you watch other performances, she always seems like she’s that way. So I just don’t know what happened between this show and March 31st and why they waited til then to announce it the day after announcing the blu ray. It’s probably a much bigger decision involving the higher ups in the Nemophila business than just the band. Who knows? 🤷🏻‍♂️

    G'day, fellow Aussie here, new subscriber. Thanks for the bluray review, you've just convinced me to bust the budget on my CD Japan account and order this Nemophila concert! I'm currently expecting delivery of the new Lovebites bluray, Memorial for the Warrior Souls, released on August 28th.
    Just wondering, I assume you have checked out the K-Rock female band, Rolling Quartz? These girls play hard, and they've carved out a small niche as rock musicians, competing against the K-Pop juggernaut , which has put them on the world stage. I'm seeing them at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on Sept 8th, by all accounts they put on a fantastic show. Cheers.

    Saki being asked/told to leave was a long time coming, there had been leaks and rumors for years that she and management were constantly at odds. Back in 2022 an employee anonymously leaked that Saki got into a shouting match with someone higher up over managements decision to kill Saki's original band Mary's Blood....A week later they went on permanent hiatus.

    • @TheLongGoneLoserRockShow
      @TheLongGoneLoserRockShow  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@hitokiriizo I didn’t know about that issue with Mary’s Blood. That’s a shame cos they really were something else. I wonder if the issue is that she just doesn’t want to play songs that are written for her and wants to take control and write and play her own songs? I can totally understand if that’s the reason. I mean, playing other people’s songs might be good financially but an artist is an artist for a reason and I feel Saki is a songwriter as well as an incredible musician. Possibly why she went solo and parted ways with management? Maybe she just got tired of the higher ups having so much control over the band(s). It’s a shame that the music industry in Japan is really into doing that. It makes it seem more about a product than a band. That the band members are just employees of a much bigger corporation. Either way, whatever she chooses to do either now or in the future, she’s gonna have a huge career ahead of her. She has insane amounts of talent. She will do well in anything she applies herself to. So that’s why I said the question COULD BE “why was she asked to leave?” Who really knows what happened. It just seems weird that both her and Kensuke parted ways with the band around the same time, know what I mean?
