Just found your channel and I love it. I too am a maximalist and the more the better. I received that Better Homes cookbook as a wedding gift in 1968 and used it to death. I fixed it up and gave it to my daughter when she got married and she cherishes it to this day. It is still in print which surprises me. Your style is stunning and so similar to mine. I am almost 80 and still decorating, even today bought a new sofa.....I just wish your video was longer, I didn't want it to end...Thanks !!!!

One of the most glorious moments of my adult life was scoring a set of 12 Johnson’s Brothers, His Majesty turkey, dinner plates, and serving platter 🧡🧡🧡. There was an advertisement in our local marketplace. I reached out to the gentleman. He told me the set had been in his family for a long time. Nobody had wanted it in his family, and he would be happy to sell it to me. I believe I got it for $200. I will treasure them forever! By the way, I just came across your channel beautiful… Absolutely gorgeous… I love season changes because it all allows me to play with all the stuff that I’ve been collecting over the years creating vignettes in my colors the…the hues of autumn. Great job.
My island is so big that I always decorate center all the way down all year on season and still have 3 ft on each side and have very maxamist style too. But how us southerners love to decorate just like my momma and grandmothers and great grandmothers did too. I have all my counters also decorated but also functional. Candles glowing in sconces and around house give home a warmth and layers for the senses . I found my light you put on candles keep smell all the time and not have to burn the candles and warm glow and smells amazing.
I have an old table i bought years ago at an antique store for 60 dollars. I t has been in every room in my house, but i just moved it into the kitchen at the end of my island. Then I find your video! I love your styling. You have given me such great ideas! Thanks!

this is the first video I have watched of yours. Came across it by ‘accident’ and enjoyed every minute. I headed to the grocery store once it was over and next door is a small church thrift store. I found two of the French bee glasses, about juice size. However, they wanted $7.00 apiece for them, so I passed. Just thought it was cool though to find them just after seeing them on your channel. What a great find for you on both the bee dishes and the set of blue and white dishes! I collect blue and white dishes so I am thrilled for you. You could hang some velvet brown ribbon to hide that screw on the wall beneath the picture. It could be a bow at the top of the picture and hung behind the picture and fall beneath or just 1 strip of ribbon down the center in back... You have the same taste as me! Love it!
It was so gratifying to watch you put together your home to celebrate the fall! I have antiqued for many years and collected treasured family pieces and was delighted to see the word "maximalist" to describe your aesthetic. I can't thank you enough for sharing your ideas as I just now went into the dining room and displayed my mother's Thanksgiving china on a rack just like yours (I think we are kindred spirits!). I decorated like this back in the day! I called my style goo-ga! Goo-ga everywhere! Even today my basement is stacked with shelves and baskets of decorating choices…I “shop” my basement. My style today, however, is more modern and minimalist🤣
