Scratch baker and home maker.
A Lazy Sunday Antiquing and making Turkey Gravy… and How I bought Scott Baio’s butter dish!
You just never know whose butter dish you may end up with… all kidding aside, Scott Baios’ darling daughter and wife have a booth at an antique mall nearby my house.. they had some really cute additions today and I truly loved this present butter dish. It was only $10!

Turkey Gravy
2 Turkey wings
4 Turkey necks
2 large carrots, roughly chopped
5 whole stalks of celery, roughly chopped
1 white onion, roughly chopped
2 cloves garlic
2 sprigs of rosemary
Salt & pepper
Olive oil
Place everything in an oven safe baking pan, and roast at 375 degrees for an hour and a half.
When the vegetables and meat are roasted nice and dark, place the pan on top of the stove and fill with water.
Allowed to cook for about three hours on medium.
Continually replace the water as it evaporates.
When the broth is nice and dark brown, removed from the heat and strain into a clean bowl.
Allowed to cool completely. Store in an airtight container in the freezer until you are ready to prepare.
To make the gravy, add 4 cups of broth to a large sauce pan. Make a cornstarch slurry with a half a cup of water and 2 to 3 tablespoons of cornstarch. Add to the hot broth and cook until it has thickened. Make another slurry if it is not thick enough for you. Continue to cook and hold on worm until ready to serve.

Enjoy a restful Sunday, sweet friends.

Too much?!! Not from and to a maximalist!
I really enjoy your videos. I was able to score one of your cookbooks as soon as it was available! I'm looking forward to trying out some of your yummy recipes ❤
Hi Ann, Congratulations on your spot in the magazine, still planning on ordering your cookbook. I loved the fruitcake tin and the Buster Brown Shoe adds. I remember being a little girl in New York and going shopping for those shoes , very popular in the 60's Love your videos Have a great day Hugs, Pam ❤🌹🦃😊
Awe! Thank you so much! You are so kind! 🥰
I would have never guessed your live in Florida based on your decor and decorating esthetic, which I love, by the way. Your Indiana roots are showing - beautifully.
Thank you so much! I don’t enjoy the Florida homes. There’s not much for historical home shopping, so I just try to make it feel old. 🥰
I follow the Baio family on Gram and Facebook. I wish I could go to their shop in the antique mall. They feature it on their social media and I always see so many beautiful and unique things. His wife does a beautiful job selecting items and she also restored items. I love your treasures you purchased.
Yes. They seem like a sweet family. Very well liked in the community.
Hi Ann, WOW, your tree is amazing. I love the little tree idea, so creative. I also love the old Xmas classics - they’re the best! TFS, can’t wait to see more! TFS, xoxo ❤🎄✨🎅🎁🕯️🤗
Congratulations Ann!! Your cooking and decorating creations are worthy of magazines.
Awe! Thank you! 🥰
Congratulations 🎊🎉 on being featured in a magazine, your cookbook looks fantastic. The gravy, yum! 😋 I think that butter dish is so sweet, great find at Scott Baio’s booth, hehe! TFS, ❤
Thanks so much! 😊 🤣🤣🤣 right?
Good morning! All the recipes looked so yummy!😋 The gravy looked super yummy! I do remember both shows..i was a young teen when Happy Days was so popular, watched probably every episode with "Chachi" or Scott Baio being my fav on the show!😁 How cool he has a booth! Loved all those old tins in the case. The one you picked up was really cool, actually pretty!😊 Oh goodness..i actually wore Buster Brown shoes as a really young child! My oldest, my daughter even had a pair of the little Sunday shoes. I know they were made into the early 2000's, but they weren't quite the same as back when i was a little girl, they were really popular back then! The butter dish is so pretty! Nice little haul! Thanks for sharing & have a blessed & Happy Thanksgiving!🙏🏻🦃
Ha! I wore those shoes too!!! And Hush Puppies! 🥰
@annscarberry3106 Yess! You know whats really crazy.. My Moms best friend when Ashe was a young lady.. her name was Ann Scarberry! She was originally from NC but she moved away, not sure where. If she's living she would be in her 90's now.. but with children of than myself, in their 70's, same age as my older siblings. When I saw your name i automatically clicked on it, and realized we have similar interest & i enjoy watching!😊 Just thought that was so interesting tho!
What great finds. It’s the hunt that keeps me going back for more . Happy treasure hunting!
Yes!! So fun! You never know!
The fruit cake tin is from Mobile AL that I'm from . Really enjoy your channel. HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
Thank you so much!!!🥰
You are just adorable and funny! I actually saw something I own and love in your video! In the shop there was a square silver “tea box”! Mine was missing the lid so I use it as a vase for silk flowers or just this week I swapped it out for a Christmas arrangement. You need to go back and buy that - you would love it! As always, love your content! ❤
🥰 you’re so kind! Thank you!!! ❤️
How fun was that to walk through the biggest hunk of the century,LOL !All recipe look yummy !
🤣🤣🤣 Glad you enjoyed it
My mom put mandarins oranges and chopped walnuts in her cranberry sauce ,I’m adding the marmalade this year! How funny Scott Baio has a booth. Loved his butter dish
Oh yum!!! 🥰
That was so fun!! For just a quick half-second I thought I could smell that gravy! Lol. And Scott Baio’s booth was very nice. I would have gotten that fruitcake tin after seeing your framed fruitcake ad, so I’m so glad you did!!
Yay!!! Thank you so much! 🥰
Congratulations on the magazine feature. One of the many things that I love about your videos is how particle and authentic you are. You have a unique way of relating to your viewers. I love it when you post a new content.
Awe! Thank you so much! That is very kind! 🥰❤️
The BEST fall cookbook!
Yay! Thank you!
It's lovely that you were featured in the magazine. Everyone loves to try new recipes that are tried and true. Thrift shopping is fun! ❤💚
Yes! Thank you! You’re so sweet to leave the sweetest comments. 🥰
OK Ann, got you thinking about fruitcake. Love the tin. My first thought for the shoe posters was your granddaughter's gorgeous room
🤣🤣 you’ll have to make some!
Congratulations on being in the magazine! That’s cool. And Scott Baio, wow!
🤣 I know! 🤣
Hi Ann! I am enjoying these frequent videos so much! I start watching one and I hate for it to end! Thanks so much for sharing your gravy recipe and prep with us! I feel like gravy is the unsung hero of the Thanksgiving dinner! 🦃❤🦃
Thank you so much! You’re so kind! 🥰❤️ yes! Gravy binds the whole meal together! 🥰❤️
Hi Ann, Sunday funday at the amazing antique mart. When you showed that butter dish from Scott's booth I thought ooh she has to get that. Its so sweet. And the fruit cake tin is perfect. Great finds. 😊 I could almost smell your amazing gravy looks yummy. Thanks, see you soon.
Ha!! Thank you so much! 🥰❤️
Hi Ann!! My gravy comes out of a jar , haha ! Good thing I now have your cookbook !! I thought right away the posters in your granddaughters room . I went to a nice antique mall in Nappanee yesterday and I had to buy the Betty Crocker cookbook , I said all Ann's fault , however who's mom didn't have that cookbook?! Your antique mall looks great too! Blessings Paula
Oh so fun!!! I love that you found one! I’d love to be shopping in Nappanee right now!
I’m loving your fall cookbook! I highly recommend it

Ann you’re making wonderful progress. The first cookbook I got was The Better Homes and Garden one. Friends of ours gave it to me for Christmas about 60 years ago. We’ve been married 62 years. I cooked many recipes out of it😊. Love and blessings ❤️💚❤️
Oh man! I love that! Thank you so much! 🥰❤️
I love fruitcake !!! I get one that my friend bakes every year as a gift !!
Oh goodness! I love that! So special! 🥰❤️
everything looks beautiful. Love the tree and it's old Hollywood hotel feel. The little tree hack is gorgeous - I haven't seen that trend at all but I love it. My favourite old Christmas movie is also White Christmas and Miracle in 34th Street - the original. TFS!🎄
Thank you so much! 🥰

Hi Ann, too funny I was just telling my son today how when I was little my mother and I would ride the train from Michigan City to Randolph to go christmas shopping see the windows and go to the Walnut room in Marshall Fields for lunch. Wonderful memories. Yes, it is Macy's now. I love your cookbook collection, looking forward to your next video, see you then 😊 🎄
That is funny! Thank you so much! 🥰
Love the creative repurposing of all the different tree bases.Using what you have either the simple elegance of greenery is so pretty. When I decide to get rid of my ridiculous Christmas hoard- I’m going to simplify just like you!❤☺️
🤣 enjoy all of your treasures! 🥰
New sub. I'm a maximalist so I'm sure I will enjoy your decorating! Love the layered silver on the mantel.
Thank you so much! 🥰
Maybe try hanging the sled over the stove again but horizontally long ways without the wreath maybe a simple green or red velvet ribbon and some bells
That’s a good idea too! I’ll play around with it! 🥰
Looks great! Festive yet very sophisticated!❤
Thank you! 😊
I LOVE the silver trays!
Thank you so much! 🥰
That was beautiful!! And, yes, I got some ideas! Thank you.
Awesome! I’m so glad! Thank you! 🥰❤️
Hi Ann! I collect bibles & keep them in one of the silver casserole dish holders. I have a large holder that's too big for books & I'm trying to come up with a way to style it.🤷♀️ i love the garland on that table, its beautiful with the berries in it!❤ Ohhh my..I love your collection of Better Home and Gardens cookbooks!😮 I've been looking for one day dated 1964 or close to that. I try to collect things that I remember my mama and Grandma had in their homes during my childhood. For as long as I could remember my mama had one of those Better Home and Gardens cookbooks on a kitchen shelf. So I figure if I get one around my birth year it should be close to the same date.🤷♀️ I love framing different things other than pictures or photos! Like postcards, gift bags, especially at Christmas, hymns from hymnals.. and I like to use the Mod Podge technique. It makes them look like real oil paintings! Best thing is it's quick and easy.😉 I have a large Norman Rockwell Christmas print that someone gave me. And I need to find a frame for it. It's shaped like a poster and it's odd size, I'm sure I'm going to have to cut it. The tree is just gorgeous!!🎄 I did enjoy g look forward to the next one! See you soon!😊
I have a question, and it may sound odd.. is your mother's name or do you have a grandmother named Ann Scarborough that you were named after? My mother had a lifetime friend from her younger years and her name was Ann Scarborough! She lived in North Carolina, she was from the same area we were but she had moved away after she married. And I'm not sure where to. I know she had children which would be my age or even older so that's why i said grandma.. but I was just wondering!😊
Thank you so much! I love all of your ideas! Thank you for sharing! 🥰❤️
And we still live in South Bend.
We still have a farm there! 🥰
Aaaa! We used to take the South Shore from South Bend to Marshall Field’s, too!
Yes! 🥰
Very nice looking forward to see the rest. I like your cookbooks
Thank you so much! 🥰
Love your Gimbels Christmas box. Love it all. Pass the candy 😊
Thank you! It’s one of my favorite Christmas decorations! 🥰
Love the whole house decorations!!the tree and all! Also love the music from (I think)The polar express!💖🎄💖🎄💖😍🎄😍🎄😍
Thank you so much!!! I appreciate that! 🥰
I like the way you pull away from your vignettes and articles to show a larger scene. Closeups are nice but they don’t express, the essence of the decorating. Good job getting started on your decorating. I’m looking forward to more.
Thank you so much! 🥰❤️
Your channel just came across my feed. I love how you used the silver plated casserole stand as a book holder. I’ve subscribed!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! 🥰❤️
Love fruitcake, made it for all my fruitcake lovers every Christmas. Had to stop last year because candied fruit is so expensive and hard to find here in Michigan. I saw one container at Meijer yesterday for 11.99. live your placement of all your collectibles.
Oh my goodness! I love Meijer! I miss it so much. 🥰 I know a lot of people do like it! 🥰
