I got the pollinator garden in a can. These packages are great. Many varieties came up. A lot of bang for the buck. Looking forward to ordering the zinnias!
Thanks for the info! I love videos when you can see the progression. I’d love to learn why one would scatter so many seeds that you end up thinning versus planting them eight inches apart from the get-go. I understand some may not germinate, but I wonder if you could just fill in any gaps and just have them farther apart? Can they be transplanted?
Would seed starting pods help with making sure there aren’t any gaps since the seed would be germinated by the time you transplant them into the ground? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I’m a beginner. 😊
Wow Renee what a beautiful bed of Zinnia flowers. I do love Zinnia flowers. Last year I purchased Zinnia plants and I have their seeds, which I wanna sow. But your method of planting Zinnia is amazing. You also look so beautiful like white zinnia. I wish someone has liked you along with zinnia flowers.
I’m planting Zinnias for the first time ever this year and I am really looking forward to watching them grow. I’m a TH-cam gardener too. Thank you for sharing this video. It’s very helpful to me. Thanks fo teaching me something new. I hope we can learn more from each other.
Thank you so very much for helping me out! Until now I never understood what "thinning" meant! I just subscribed to your channel. Oh yeah, hello from Fall River, Massachusetts! ❤️
Thinning means for example you planted 2 seeds in 1 hole and they successfully germinated then you need to cut the other one to avoid overcrowding. If you sprinkle seeds randomly like on this video then there will be no proper spacing between each plant.
I bought the Annie’s heirloom seeds from you guys I already have them in the ground and they are already sprouting I hope it will turn out good. I will keep you posted lol
We have 1 color of Zinnia's but when we were going back from the book store I saw a yellow flower that looked like a zinnia I said it to my mom at night and I got permission and I got the flower I actually got lucky and got the roots too and my mom said it was a zinnia and its starting to have a 2nd flower
Oi amo esses viddos ! Tenho uma pergunta essas sementes trm tada de validade? Comprei varias sementes de varias flores e nao sabia disso . Gostaria dd ter certeza
Does thinning help the zinnias grow evenly in height as well? These look perfect. Mine were all different sizes last year. I’m a beginner gardener with lots of questions. Love these videos and looking forward to ordering from you.
I have Carousel Zinnia's in My Garden this Year. But sadly the grasshoppers have been munching holes in my leafs of some of the plants. 😫 other than that they look healthy and should be able to recover..
Are you transplanting all those you pulled. It seems like such a waste of seed. I don’t thin and mine were huge and used each other for support. A tape measure in a garden seems such a university thing.
My heart skipped when you started removing for spacing! But then they grew up and looked full and beautiful so now I'm conflicted *stares nervously at my unthinned wildflower seedlings still scattered*

So pretty. Love all the colors.🌷🌻🌷🌻
Thank you for this video. I was afraid of thinning them and seeing how yours turned out encouraged me to do that.
You are always so informative! Thank you for sharing!
Your Zinnias are stunning!
Is it better to thin them or can I just plant them 8 inches apart from the start? Instead of scattering it
Thank you! I just purchased this can and was looking for tips. I appreciate this channel. Julia in Zone 8b, Whidbey Island, WA
This my first year growing zinnias. I love how zinnias grew it looks so easy I hope mine turns out great too!!
Yes, I bought this product and turned out great last year!!!!!

someone told me that the issue with initial spacing can allow space for weeds.
Good information and beautiful flowers

Beautiful flowers 🌸
Thank you so much for the advice
Very helpful! Thanks so much!
I'm here in Baguio City, in the Philippines. It's always cold here, sometimes it does rain. Will I be successful in germinating?

How long did it take from seed to flower?

Sometimes they will express their recessive genes
I love Zinnia flower.
What do you do with the zinnias you pulled from the flower bed after thinning?
Great video. Thanks!
Wonderful

We test our seeds for quality and germination on a regular basis.
Do you need to pinch at all?
No, they will be fine if you thin properly.
Why don't u sow them thinner, then don't have to thin out so much? Love the vids btw🌷
You can sow it thinner if you want. Sometimes the seeds don't all sprout though.

Do these come back every year?
These are annuals.

Perhaps if you broadcast you need not take in but just cover with compost. I had the most beautiful bed of zinnias this year
Dear madam
I am srilanka
I wont buy zeeniyas seeds
Can you help me
thanks for you madam. Please madam reply me.
Why not let the birds thin them naturally?
Beautiful Zinnias but you lose too much seed when you clear the space.
Didn’t thin mine, no wonder they don’t seem to grow.
They got stunted! 🤦🏻♀️
Why not just plant the seeds one by one? Cause it's a waste of good seeds and time.
Sometimes the seeds don't all sprout. There are a lot of seeds in this container.
