Nintendo has horribly marketed this game, the fans are the only ones who can make this game a hype release and the hype is dying because they aren’t showing us anything and they act like they don’t care about this game.
I started posting about splatoon, and I found so many people in the fandom and it's amazing. It might not be the biggest community, but its such a good one. And I definitely feel the same on Nintendos marketing system they aren't really getting it out there.
I have been thinking about coming back to making some Splatoon content. The trouble is ideas, it feels like everything has already been done in this community.
I feel that, most of my videos people have already done similar ideas I think the key is just to try and put your own twist on it and make your video unique to you through editing or personality :)

Just in the nick of time; as an artist, I was planning to start my own content on a YT channel to do smth to help make Splatoon appeal to outer audiences while simultaneously learning more about comp. I hope to contribute more to the Splatoon community and expand it!
I couldn't agree more. I only recently started playing Splatoon because I thought it was a" lame shooter game for little boys" (past me quote. I was not smart and judged way too quickly). I partially blame the advertising for that. The only reason I started playing was, like many other fans, I heard the awesome OST. I really hope Nintendo ups their game with the Splatoon 3 advertising. I think it's pretty popular (as in a lot of people know what it is), but not many people play it because they mistook how good the whole franchise is. If they do a better job at explaining what these games really are, rather than just calling them ink-shooting games with cephalopods, I think they could really rack in a lot of new fans by the time Splat 3 releases.
I didn't play because I was told that anything to do with Guns was military propaganda, and I assumed that the smiley kiddy atmosphere was an early way of assimilating children into it. Past me was starting to become neurotic because of School abuse and my exposure to how terrible America, and later other totalitarian fascist regimes, I am trying to learn how to deal with it right now though those days of seeing Splatoon like that are long behind me.
I'm trying my best to start making vids (though inconsistently) but I do LOVE making splatoon art! (all of my links that I want to share are on my channel)
I remember watching my little pony and seeing Splatoon ads, and I thought it was stupid because of the advertising. I really hope that the third installment has good ads
I wholeheartedly agree with you Ms. Jas. It is the new fans of the franchise that will be the most critical to the success of the franchise in my opinion. We have the most successful non-DS series Nintendo console of all time, which will be absolutely huge for the fan base. By the time S3 arrives, we will have several millions more Switches sold potentially.
1:59 or you know, some of us are studying to get into college and need to wait until summer and need a capture card yet need to save up money for a trip to see their family in another country and hasn't got the time to properly use or appreciate the stuff that their family has bought for them. But ehh, what should I know about that. And anyway, I can try to make some sprite-work because I paid for Aseprite because Rivals of Aether once I understand Spriting and try to replicate the Mario and Luigi games.
Only start making content if you can, I didn’t start making content when I wanted to either because I wasn’t in a position to. Of course not everyone can jump straight into it I know that, I miss uploads because I have studying to do too. Being able to make content is something everyone who does it or even thinks about doing it must decide on an individual basis based on individual circumstances. If you’re not in a position to do so yet, then don’t start it.
@@NintenJas Thanks for the comfort here, I hope that you have good luck with your studies and I can assure you, I'll be here for you gamers, artists and other creators. Maybe not everyday, and only if I don't find something else that needs to be done, or some other group that I want to stick with.
I have basically no following, but I do plan to do some videos about splatoon 3 starting somewhat soon. I just need to buy a stylus so I can draw concepts of ideas I have that could improve the game. And plus I’m hoping to buy a capture card before the game comes out so I can do regular videos of the game, I’ve wanted to do it since the splatoon 1 days but now I feel like it’s actually achievable.
Yes. This needs to be said loud and clear for the kids and squids in the back to hear. I think Nintendo's really limiting Splatoon's potential with little (and poor) marketing. If I had to guess, Nintendo doesn't want to spoil too much info about the game. That I can understand; I've had plenty of situations like that. HOWEVER... Nintendo can't just suddenly pop up with a brand new game and then go radio silent for almost half a year before releasing a new trailer about it. If I'm gonna be completely honest, I don't think Nintendo should've announced the game so early. It's going to make (or is making) veteran players antsy and thirsty for content (leading to frustration and less enthusiasm if this marketing strategy keeps up) and new players uninterested in game by the time it releases. In terms of getting the content out there, while I've been making Splatoon content for a little while now, I've only managed to make one about Splatoon 3 where my theories of all 3 trailers are lumped into one. I'd create a channel but there are like a thousand issues 1) I have no imagination 2) Or any motivation 3) I have no idea what to do 4) Really I'm so confused 5) No material (Except for the game and a phone) 6) I probably wouldn't do anything good anyway 7) A lot of other sutff
