It's great to see someone posting reviews who is not cynical, actually enjoys the experience of driving, and appreciates the work engineers put into making cars great fun to own.
Or saying, FIVE THINGS I HATE ABOUT MY 300(DONT BUY) , lol.
300 is my realistic dream car
Know that feel
My dream dream car. Attainable, and justifiable to use.
I picked my 300 up for 5600 bucks with 80k miles all original other than the 20 inch american racing rims. And it sure loves the twisty roads up here in northern Washington state.
Same
Jesse Donnelson is it reliable so far?
I was in the market for a new vehicle last year, and considered an SRT8. After watching this video, I purchased one. Not a bad choice if you don't mind the cost of maintenance. Tires aren't cheap (I run Michelin Pilot Super Sports), gas is actually not too bad for the size of the motor, and the oil changes aren't too bad either. Make sure it's Mobil 1 synthetic. Also, make sure you check the transmission before purchasing. They tend to go out in these models, and you don't want to spend an extra $3,000 on top of the initial costs. Also make sure the previous owner hasn't put an aftermarket headlight setup on it. It's a popular mod for these cars, and most of these backyard mechanics don't know proper wiring, and they tend to melt. That's $500 per headlight assembly. Other than that, I've enjoyed smoking posers off the red light in an unassuming brick of a car. It's like an apartment building on wheels, but it handles nicely.
Nice comment thanks for the heads up.
+Nathaniel Mitchell how much horsepower do you have on your beast
+GREATEST VIDEOS 460 horsepower and 450 lb/ft of torque.
what's your gas mileage like? any other worries or advice I should know before purchase?
What's your advice about buying a 2006 SRT-8 with 111,xxx miles?
lol, the excitement on dude's face when he stepped on it!
That was awesome!
He giggled like that the 1st time his butt got penetrated.

Still driving my 2006 300C SRT8, 80,000 miles later - I will never sell this car. If you don't like it, fine. I sure the hell do.
Marty Culleton same here man I live my 300c I will keep it for my kids lol it’s great car
how u like it as a daily? how reliable is it
Marty Culleton what’s the stock horsepower on it?
425 stock hp if i remember correctly off the top of my head
Is buying a 2006 SRT-8 with 111,xxx a good idea? I hear they get tranny problems
I watched this review before I got my first car. Now a couple years later I own a 06 Chrysler 300 srt8. 2 years of owner ship and it’s tuned by full blown performance now. Been having a lot of fun with it. I got a 1 year old daughter now as well. And it’s a great family car 😂
Beautiful car.
Age is literally nothing but a number.
Chrysler should have kept the TV feature for the newer 2011- Present Models.
What a shame...
Either way beautiful American Luxury Vehicle.
Has the looks and the muscle.
SCARFACE do all models before 2011 have the TV?
I used to own a 2005 Chrysler 300C and a 2009 Dodge Challenger RT... After watching this video I finally sold both and went for a 2010 Chrysler 300C SRT8. Only has 35000 miles on it. I've owned many cars in the past including Mercedes and other German vehicles but this is by far one of the most fun cars to drive. The Golf R MK7.5 takes first place for category "fun".
Which one was more expensive as far as cost of owner ship your Mercedes or the 2005 300c?
@@1stunna91what a dumb question of course the mercedes 😂😂😂
I have one my self, I have a 06 SRT-8 Black. Modified Exhaust & Intake and it's an amazing car... In the snow its actually not that bad with good tires and not driving like an idiot. Worth it great car! Spanks A lot of cars
Cobra Termi do qtp or dmh cutouts. Just as loud as straight pipes if not a little louder, and the best part about it is you can have it loud or you can have it quiet, depends on your mood :) look em up... totally worth it...
Srching What I do for my 300 is put two 25 pound weights in the back. Keeps it a little more grounded. a total of 100 pounds probably wont hurt either
Is buying a 2006 SRT-8 with 111,xxx a good idea?

Lmao!!!!
@@askawhiteguy9822 how would you know?
@@nickstewart3725 Right?! What type of dickhead posts a comment like that under a car video? Sometimes I forget how stupid and nasty people can be.
I have a 2009 300C AWD, which I modded a lot and I absolutely love it. It's at 133,000 km and still kicking ass, and its absolutely gorgeous!
Wow, Luxury and Muscle car at the same time, I love how the engine sounds like on that luxury muscle chrysler 300
IKR!
+Edward Moroz i dont see very much luxury there. the outside looks pimpin thats kind of it
+Kern O'Leary well back in 2006 lol
Just letting you know, after I watched this vid 1 year ago. I set out and purchased my SRT8. It's a magnum, but still. Fantastic cars.
I MUST own a car like this! I love that machine.
+zedd man I'm jealous, and I'm pretty sure you are very happy right now. I live in CA and here the srt8 is about $18000, So I need to save money to get one. Enjoy !!
2006 srt is $20000 in Australia

@@duckonquack6876 yes sir, I got a silver one, SRT8 with kennebell supercharger, 700hp sounds like a hellcat!!!

Updates on the whip?
That peacoat is perfect for the car
Nice review! You've stepped up the quality quite a bit. Nice editing as well.
my thoughts exactly!
Thank you! I'm always trying to make them better!
Matt Maran Motoring I see you've never reviewed any 2012-2014 charger srt8's. Do you have any desire to do so?
Proud owner of a 2006 300 SRT8 Brilliant Black fully loaded.. Corsa Exhaust, K&N CAI, Diablo Predator Canned 91 CAI tune.. Absolute pleasure to drive and hauls my Family of 5 Comfortably and in style.. Tons of rear legroom, a true full size sedan.
I really can't think of anything negative... I average 23 mpg on the highway cruising at 70. Just a beautiful powerful car.. The "Beautiful Brute" The 2nd Gen 300's didn't appeal to me at first but I have to admit they are growing on me... Possibly a White 2014 300 SRT with the Black vapor package.. Absolutely stunning and the interiors are drastically improved. Great review.. and I get the same reaction at the 7:00 mark every time I mash the accelerator. Ear to Ear grin and Giggles Galore
nice choice man. i own a 2010 300C SRT8. i wish i averaged 23 lol. Im always putting that 6.1 to work. i average 11city 19 highway
+Jonny Malarkey you need to invest in a predator tuner.. guaranteed an added 2 mpg per gallon
I'm looking at a 2006 SRT-8 with 111,xxx what's your advice?
I JUST GOT A 2006 with 95K, i was looking at abunch of other cars even way newer, i bought this car, ITS AMAZING RIDE!
Did you ever have any problems with it
Update please I'm currently looking at one with 111,xxx miles
I’ve had one for 5 yrs. sold a caprice v8 to get it.
Never looked back.
Have headers, cold air intake, 3” pipes all the way, jet black limo tint all round, 22” nasty rims, great sound system & lowered ride
You can’t ask for a meaner looking street car with attitude that doesn’t cost you 6 figures.
Loud. Lumpy. Luxurious.
Love it 😊
...L8R...
F Dc mine doesnt even have the subwoofers in the back and its still amazing bass
You did a good job of portraying how fun the car is to drive, that's missing from a lot of car reviewers. I'm going to be watching the prices on these now :D
Hes the best reviewer for this car he is honest they r so fun and make u smile. So many reviewers put these down but like he said for the price they r FUN!!!!
This is what I call a real car. The only wrong thing is the color, it should definitely be black.
No, it should be blue
My 300c is black 🤣 it's not an srt but it's pushing out close to 420hp there are some decent upgrades you can put on this car
I love my 2010 300c.
Rasist
the grey interior is pretty gross too.
Wish I could afford the 6.1L. But ill settle for the 5.7L because i do love the car.
Question what’s the difference? I’m trying to learn more about cars..
@@bluelooksgoodonme6362 alot. The srt offers everything from different rear end, suspension, brakes, and cooling. As well as nice bucket seats
@@MrTrip3ace question does the 6.1 and 5.7 have the same trans or nah? Curious

I have a 2022 300S 5.7 , and I have the 8 speed.
Got one , had it 3 years and love driving it , it is spacious and gangster all the way , will keep it for as long as I can
Even though this video is 10 years old, it really convinced me to find an 300 srt8. Just seeing the joy you had driving around started my quest to find one. Purchased a 2007 about 3 weeks ago, and its an absolute blast. I couldn't be happier. Thanks.
5:11, gotta love the Lexus trunk mat. Lol..
😂
Coming back to this years later now owning a mint low mile srt is such a great feeling. I really have my dream car.
I've had my 300c with 5.7 Hemi for 8 months now. Even though American cars are very expensive here in Finland I still think it's the best car I could've got for that money. It's super comfy, powerful, mean looking, very spacious, and so far It seems to be pretty reliable too. You can't get a more luxurious car for this kind of money. The only downside of the 5.7L version is the chassis that's borrowed from E-class Mercedes. It needs a lot of maintenance if you do a lot of heavy cornering. Also, it's fun to own a car like this here because it actually turns heads. It's a conversation piece at the parking lots. My advice is, 1. get one 2. never ever sell it
I watch A LOT of your videos and I haven’t seen this excitement while you’re viewing a car in none of you’re recent videos. I want this car right now
Man matt you seriously had alot of fun in this review! great job!
I bought a 2006 300c SRT8 in April
This video def gave me the confidence to buy the car, that I was making the right decision
Thank you - haven’t regretted it at all

i actually bought the 300 touring version recently it came with a v6 engine but man it was amazing and i'm actually raising to buy the brand new srt version because I fell in love with chrysler cars!
A friend of mine has a 2009 300 Touring as well . And it is such a great car , that 3.5 does a very good job.
Bought an 07 5.7 300C five days ago, in no small part due to watching Matt's review countless times! I really wanted that 'cant have a bad day' feeling, and it excells. I get a huge dopey grin just walking up to it! Thx Matt !
My dad has one of these. If he ever found out what I've done with that car...
Your mistake is thinking he didn't do the same ;)
Bought a black 2010 300c SRT8 with 54000km a few years back after watching this review, it's been a great ride.
You can tell me how much you pay for your car if you dint mind
im a 22 yr old female and i saw my first one of these at a gas station (the worker owns it) and i fall in love with its look everyday! it has now become my fave car (and i really dont know anything about cars i normally just like all the flash old cars) but im totally gonna save up for one :D

I remember I was trying to get one in 06. I actually Wound up getting and 06 Cadillac STS. After my STS got totaled, I wound up getting an 2012 300 srt8. Bigger engine. 6.4 with more horsepower and torque and I loved it.
It is 2020 I love my SRT8 still to this day!
I like this guy doing the review. Not a jerk not a know it all. Open to different cars. And smart.
American version of a rolls royce

In my opinion its an American version of a Rolls
+layla lu lu hmm Yea I see it

This guy says it all. the smile on his face. that's the way I feel every time I climb into my "happy car". I know guys all trying to compare their quarter mile time and 0 to 60 time and that's cool. I love to kick it, it's hard to go slow in it, it needs to run. I try to get it to 100 every day I take it out. not much room here to do it but I have few places. it's combined feeling tho not just speed. you look good and it looks good. it sounds great. handles great. kick ass stereo. and on and on. you can't be depressed driving this car,. unless you see those red lites behind you!!
I just got that exact model this year .,.. I'm in the UK ... AND I LOVE HER 😁😁😁😁😁😁
As I live in the Lake Ontario snowbelt, I've had to put up with "winter rats" for years, while putting the other cars away. This year, I decided to get a double duty car...........something I could drive in the winter, but also enjoy in the summer. In addition, it had to be a performance car. What I ended up with is a 2008 Chrysler 300C AWD. I absolutely love this car. Plenty of power and performance plus the ability to go when it snows. As I traditionally prefer big rear wheel drive V8 cars over small ones or trucks, I couldn't be happier with the size, performance, ride, handling, and quiet. In triple black, it's a good looker too!As this one ages and piles up plenty more miles (I'll run it year 'round until the wheels fall off), it's replacement will likely be another 300C AWD in the newer body style.
“The gas gauge doesnt go down much” *shows the gas gauge at E* hahaha great video, might get one myself
Just picked up a 300srt8,I LOVE it,best bang for your buck!! Get them while they’re cheap!
They are classic cars now so keep it! hemi motors are no longer being made.I have 07 300C NEVER SELLING!!
I'm happy with my 2006 5.7 except for the suspension. I bought it the day I saw it b/c I was afraid someone else would grab it. I get 14-16 in town and 20-22 hwy with a 30HP chip on it. I also loved the paint(vanilla cream) with lots of chrome.
Had a 07 300c with 5.7 for 10 years until I wrecked it. I loved it going to buy the Srt version now. I love this older body style
I love the old body style also , I took my 2019 300 back to the dealership and bought a 2007 in cash with no car notes .
@@boomboombaby9140 What’s the cost of ownership for these the same year as yours. How much money should I expect to spend a year on maintenance and repairs etc?
@@1stunna91 I do the regular maintenance like oil change . I cost me 60 bucks a year in maintenance and its been almost 3 years
I had the 6.1-L in dark Silver.
Now I have a 6.4-L BLACK 300SRT and a 2014 JeepSRT.
I fucking love these cars!
Damn you got money
You seen my stock advice? Buying TESLA and Marijuana penny stocks?
I make $60,000 easy on stocks and I suffer very little loss. (My biggest loss was $5000 on CTIC). I have a full time financial sector job and make over $150,000 a year.
Man I'm so hooked on these srt8s I'm working fuking hard trying to grab one
Don't buy one with a lot of miles. Buy new if possible.
Front end and rear end takes a beating.
The 300 is aging really nicely, especially the SRT8 trim. It's sad that the 300 doesn't get the appreciation it deserves, but this was a great review & it's nice to see someone like it for what it is!
Most car reviewers drive tons of high end $100,000 luxury cars and they expect all other vehicles to meet those expectations. The plastics might feel "cheaper" but they'll definitely last way longer.
this was the best car review I’ve ever seen you explained everything so perfectly answered all my questions as they came up lol I liked and subscribed 👍
Watching in 2022, still my dream car
Edit: I just bought one! :)
I love this car ALOT ! I don't know why it still has so many haters but this car is really quite amazing. If not for the road tax, I'd have one .
personally I only liked the older ones like these the new ones are just sorta eh, the boxy figure looked good for the car and yeah that road tax will get ya lol
What's wrong with road tax? I live in Indiana so things can be different in the state you live.
Firas certain states have high road tax but normally it really isnt an issue basically stay away from places like california where all taxes are high
I bought this exact same car over 2 years ago after watching this lol. I love it
That's awesome, I'm glad you're still loving yours!
Thumbs up for that 300C power
I dont even care what this car can and can not, it looks just georgeous...
this was your best review yet
My first car i got in February at 19 is a 2007 300 SRT8. Great car
The most review fun of the year, definitely! I laughed a lot, Matt, thank you!
This guy was so pumped he made me buy a SRT CHARGER SAME COLOR! 😎
This car looks so clean. Surprised it's a 2006. I love the mean look these and the SRT8 Jeeps have. 7:09 Lol you were only able to do the epic face for like half a second before you bursted out with joy. I'd definitely own something like this. :)
I laughed when you started hitting the steering wheel after the first acceleration, it's gotta feel so awesome. And great review as always.
What a nice car I've never seen the SRT8 version but only some 300C without mods and this one looks beautiful and a lot of fun. That Borla exhaust system has a good quality also the interior is in great shape I gotta love those leather seats with SRT logo! Never seen you so happy I thought you could drive at 150 MPH in highway with that! Ahaha! AWESOME! I THINK IT'S DEFINITELY ONE OF YOUR BEST CAR REVIEWS TO REMEMBER!
Thank you!

I have a 2006 srt8, and by all means it's a hell of a car. It's my 2nd car and I like it better than my first which was an 03 c5 corvette. The car is just super spacious.
I own a 2006 300 interior is not trash. However, its very simple....or rather boring, but I can't complain at all. I love it
My favorite SubaruWRXfan video
your reviews get better every time and you have a really good taste in the cars you pick, you should be getting a lot more views (and subsequently more money to buy bad ass cars)
Thank you, I really appreciate that! Sharing the videos always helps too!
I've watched this video like 10 times and I have to say it, I am now buying one. Maybe its the way he sells it or even better drives it. Look forward to the excitement.
Own one. And is and it would be the best car in the world yea i said it. Drive an SRT, before you post something. You just dont know. I driven enough cars to say this.
Luxury + power + torque + space , i can keep going. There is no feel like a HEMI. And to be completely honest, only down is in the snow, but with snow tires gets better.
Haters please hate on everything but on a HEMI. Just stop it.
SRT HENNY Try putting weights in the back... thats what i do
I test drove an 06 the other day. 40,000 miles for only 26k. Unfortunately I can't get it right now but damn that drive made me want one! Had some aftermarket mufflers on it so it bellowed nice and deep when cruising, and sounded really nice when I opened it up. That 6.1 hemi is a masterpiece of an engine.
6.2 but fair enough haha. I have a 5.7 and she purrs ever since i removed the suitcase
Garrett Craig Its a 6.1, even says it on the valve covers.
Sorry Your right I was thinking of the newer engines. My bad
I test drove a 300 srt8 and it was a blast to drive. The dealership said drive it like you stole it. So I did a nasty burnout in front of the dealership and took off. It throws the power down well for a big car. Only one complaint is a few blind spots. But a damn fun car to drive.

Speak for yourself Chrysler out did themselves when they made these cars, l know cause I own one
Lawrence Williams, you have one,not cause its soo good, but cause its BIG! We all know that you guys from America, especially the browny ones love big cars and big wheels and you do not care how cheap is the interior, how big are the gaps between the panels, the backlight of the dash..,it doesnt matter as look as you got big bonnet and big chrome wheels..you are pathetic :)))
Why all the name calling, and if I means anything to you I don't own chrome rims, I'm just saying its s good car.......and you actually went all the way to how big the gap are in the panels, get the fuck outta here, seems like someone has been lookin at too much top gear, yeah I like the car cause its BIG for me and my family, fast as hell, and for the five yrs I've own it never had any problem
