    I was never a RE fan but the 450 Himalayan is a fantastic motorcycle that I want to buy right now and can't get. Completely sold out in Austria and endless pre-orders

      Maybe you should wait. It’s prudent to avoid the Mark 1 version of anything. Any problems should be addressed in the Mk2 version.
      (Remember the Mk1 Himalayan 411 with the weak frame at the headstock?)

    Paint, finishings and build look made to last and seems to hit the sweet spot in terms of price (ownership and running costs), practicality and performance. What a bike.

    A lot more impressive than expected for a heavy 450 single.

    Engine and info/nav display are winners. I expect they will appear in road versions. Big 👍 to RE for offering bikes with a centre stand as standard. I hope to see bikes with a rear DTRL red light bar above the number plate for added visibility.

      5years ago I bought my 1st cfmoto 650mt before and after pandemic I clocked 42,000 kms on it did twice loop ride in my whole country and 3 endurance race in it each endurance covers 1800kms for 24 hrs to finish. I don't think cfmoto is for wannabes rider ✌️

    I was never a fan of the bike Itchy Bits rode as it always seemed too boxy/angular to me. This however is a vast improvement, and assuming its power output is sufficient for your needs it's hard to see why you wouldn't consider this machine. I like it.

    Impressive I’m sure RE will sell boatloads reasonably priced too. I can definitely see some Triumph influence likely due to RE having poached a designer or two from them. Good to see decent mudguards front and rear other manufacturers please take note. The dash looks great and they even have the tachometer and speedo the correct way round unlike Triumphs 400. Thanks Mark good overall review 👍

Lovely build quality and the paint work and welds look great and I,m certain that Royal Enfield would have been rigorous with their R&D and "in the field " real world testing before bringing this massively updated Himalayan 450 to the Showroom floor. Years ago I rode a single cylinder Suzuki SP 370 trail bike - I suppose you might consider that and the Yamaha XT 500 to be early adventure style bikes. Those 'thumpers' were great fun to ride and this new Himalayan 450 seems to be carrying on a genre where those bikes left a gap. A great review of a bike offering a lot of adventures for the dosh! Thanks for the review, Mark? On initial impressions it looks good vfm. Build quality looks better, electronics upgrade and water cooled. It’s going to need a test ride for curiosity, if nothing else. It looks a tad overweight. With 2 plus luggage on board I’d be slightly concerned about any long(er) distance work; could be wrong, of course, but a concern. Fine for solo, absolutely. I think the new Chinese CF Moto 450mt could prove very stiff competition; Enfield is well established…..not sure if I could (yet) part with the folding on a Chinese bike. You are a bit naughty, Mark! Why not have a ball and squish through those puddles on the gravel track, cover it in mud and let’s see where the crud gets with the long front mudguard and rear fender (welcome inclusions)!

    Great review Mark. I cannot see any advantage of this bike over the new Honda 500 Hornet, unless you go off road often. The Honda is a little pricier but so much more accomplished: More comfortable, faster, more economical, much better dash, lighter. I suppose it boils down to personal preference and style.

    EXCELLENT review Mark. EXCELLENT.
    THOUROUGHLY ENJOYED it.
    If I may suggest in future video's, (and I believe this is a GREAT comment) would you mind going thru all 6 gears (at normal riding) with NO voice over so we can HEAR the motor??? 99% of all reviewers DO NOT do this. I/we would LOVE to HEAR the engine/motor from zero to 60 mph. (100 klms) with NO voice over PLEASE. I think this would only consume about 10 seconds of video Time. Perhaps you can consider this. I REALLY believe your subscribers and viewers Will APPRECIATE it.
    THANKS Mark, all the Very Best.

    I tried the old brilliant one, liked it but lacked power, if you want to get to somewhere interesting chances are you’ll need to use some motorway unless you want to take half the day just getting there. Great review, liked it up until you got to the rear indicator/brake lights, way too many bikers being hit by other vehicles without them being utterly confused by your weird rear light set up.

  • @jimmydickson8854
    @jimmydickson8854 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    It’s not a long stroke like the old one you got to keep the revs up even when you take off ,it’s an all steel no nonsense bike for the prices it’s pretty good bang for buck it’s kind of built like a tank ,

    • @Ironpine27
      @Ironpine27 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The new himalyan's engine still has a long stroke as far as I know.
      It is simply more capable of higher and more sustained revs due to the liquid-cooling.

    Seems a big improvement over the previous model but then the price has gone up. I wouldn't want the tube tyres and really don't like the rear light built in to the indicators. For riding on the roads in England I much prefer the Triumph Scrambler 400. Great review as always, cheers.

    Tank colour is key to losing the bulbous shape and the black with the re/orange stripe works well in this regard. A 450 Scram would have me signing on the dotted line I think as my Ducati Scrambler is a complex beast with ridiculous ( I mean seriously ridiculous ) dealer servicing costs
