Just bought one. Working in the north-eastern Himalayan range of India. Ordered the decat pipe and chip (for better fuel mapping) with it. Price in India for the Hanle Black tube type rims 4400 USD (on the road, insurance and RE road side assistance for a whole year included)
Do you shit in the street or a plastic bag ?
I did my first off road in my life, I'm no pro neither I have taken any training but trust me this bike is a peice of cake to ride anywhere n everywhere.
What a fun to ride this bike deep inside a forest
noob
Always a fun time joining you on the ride! 👍
Ditto Matty. Beautiful footage as always.
Good one Buddy, you beat me to it, should get mine in a week or two. So Nice to NOT hear the centre stand clanking all the time ! Good to see you tractor that hill, good line.
Absolutely agree with you in every point ! Excellent Review.
woow nice review, still with my OG himalayan 411cc . Hoping to buy it soon ! Btw you're from Australia ?
Offft awesome watch!!! Makes me think I need to consider an adventure bike! On ya Spencer !!!
Cheers Ky! I can see you fangin' about in the dirt for sure
Impressed cobba
A Stock Suzuki Dr 650 would be no fun on that track .
The Enfield did a cracking
Head to India bling the he'll out of it and ride to Europe, winning
The design of this bike is inspired from the PlayStation game ‘days gone’
Hi i get mine next week, i want a smaller bike capable of highway point to point travelling including an ability to go off road as well. Do you reckon it has the reliability of Japanese bikes big ask, i currently ride a Yamaha T700 but at times find it unwieldy. Dave
GROUSE!!
It does look near to perfect for an offroading bike✌️maybe bullet and it's variants are their most selling or popular,Himalayan does look like less marketing done compared to that✌️
CFMOTO 450MT next
You mean junkMoto where parts start rattling within the first 10k.
Same i waiting for it come to Norway in may month so if i don't like it then it will be a Royal Enfield's Himalayan 450!
@@happyhap7207Lol what a bullshit and have you any proof of that ? and it have not even come on the market in europe, i have Cfmoto ATV and it works perfektly so what nonsens propaganda you talking about maybe take that to Russia where it belonging!
KAABIR:-: ALMIGHTY:--:. GOD❤
its actually wider-longer & taller than the previous model. It's also only 4 kg less than the old model. Room for improvement.
this is a bike for touring. for that you need little heavy bike for cross wind.
Would you ride it like that if it was your own bike ,im not going to.
Im just happy ti get any where i want and do it with out stressing.
NZ has great runs, and if your on to it youll always get a sheep to pack out.
Ye I see it can’t chug up rocky hills like the old one because it needs the revs May be the only draw back of the new bike ,what dose others think
Would you reckon this is a good bike for a beginner on the dirt? Looking for something for a highway commute hitting 90-110km and light and capable to take it on the trails to learn offroad adventuring?
Absolutely mate. This would be perfect for that kind of riding.
you can do 120-130kph highway riding all day. no problem.
Thanks for the info, guys! I'm looking into test riding one as soon as they're available up here in Canada! Cheers!
Looks good 👍
I live in that area can u put up a map or the names of the tracks ?
Spencer dude getting down & dirty🇦🇺🤟
Still prefer the 450MT
Good onya Steve! We've gotta jump on the 450MT soon to see how it compares
CFMOTO 450 MT is right at the next corner againts the wall legs crossed .. !! Hehehehe it would be very nice to see these 2 bikes side by side struggling to show wich bike is simply the Best one in the segment ! 😊😊😊😅😂
Wait, does that mean that customers outside of India has to find special tires to fit on the bike?
Great little bike but compare it to a dr650 which weighs less has more power and torque and suspension travel with full adjustability. Good to have choices under 10g and 6 speed that the drz400 and dr650 where missing. Sorry don't agree in calling it a light weight adv bike at that weight crf300 rally is way lighter and so Ajp pr7.
If they use plastic, they can reduce weight too but then it wont remain a Royal Enfield anymore.
Wonder how this goes against the Honda NX500. Also great video!
That'd be a good comparo!
@@INFO_MOTOAre they priced similarly over there? Because the Honda costs twice as much as the RE here.
@@hop-skip-ouch8798 The Honda is about $2000 more expensive in Australia
NX500 is more road focused. Alloy wheels, 19 inch in the front unlike 21 inch of the himmy. Much lower ground clearance, much lower suspension travel. Very refined twin. NX500 will be a much better road focused tourer than himalayan, however himalayan would be a much better offroader. So not a fair comparison in my view.
honda nx500 is quality product from honda. for smooth highway riding. not really good off road.
11:14 this is where 411 used to shine that massive torque at 1700 rpm can chug you out in any situation
ATt 1700 rpm the 411 has more torque from the 450?
@@robotech21 yes because 411 flood itself with torque at 170-3500 rpm
But has nothing to offer at top end
I think I read somewhere that the 450 has more torque from the 411 at all the Rev range(besides power)...
@@robotech21 it has but it starts at 3500 rpm you need to rev more to get the torque 450 is masterpiece but 411 is a tractor
@@jaipuriteujjwal7947 I look into it
I do have the bank account, and I do have the experience (55 years old, life long rider). I don't want what the others offer. Most of these bikes are a perversion of what a normal, real-life adv bike needs to be. I have the Hunter 350 and GT650, and I was excited about this bike but will pass on it. MT450 next.
seriously? chinese bike
@RJ23545 Yep, well, it is CFmoto, not Amazon special. They build half big names shit anyways. That 450 motor has been out for 3 years or so. I bought their little 125 Papio, as good quality as the big names with some very nice touches ($2300 in sunny Indonesia). Finally, I have 2 Royals, they are not without issues. So yep going with the China man machine.......again.
I'm going with the Himalayan, but the 450mt was interesting, as before they released the Himalayan I was looking for a low k F800gs, twin is a big plus. I'm still of two minds, but I have my deposit down.
@ShadowVonChadwick The 452 is most likely a great bike, and I was very interested. Brand new engine? The ride by wire throttle is the opposite of my simple/reliable (emotional here, most likely) bike feature. Personal again, but the 452 is not a looker for me. I have fixed Rally 300 (suspension, choked up engine, racks....) for the more dirt oriented riding. The features you get from the factory on the MT450 are phenomenal. It looks like real hand guards, 1st oil change, soft bags, and the bike is good to go. Wish I was on it last week, nail in the tube/tire......Tired of that routine. Safe riding.
Eco mode should be called Himalayan 411 mode
In the US we expect full discloser, are you affiliated with the company? Did they provide the bikes to you? Do you make any money from any sponsors? You can, of course, understand why that would matter.
Accept for the uphill rockly climb, rest of the track could have been done on any standard motorcycle - like Suzuki Bandit. That's not hard offroad - you have not included mud nor sand. Which is because stock tires Himalayan is unable to even go through ;). Your friend crashed because you have disabled ABS, which is something you are not supposed to do on hard surfaces. It's for stopping faster in sand and mud, you know - offroad. Not a sedan/sport bike bumpy road.
You could be right, but then also maybe you aren’t as in not seeing terrain properly. These wide angle action cameras never do it justice. We do some gnarly rock crawling here in UAE and almost all of us film it. But not a single video of anyone, no matter where it is mounted, shows the actual terrain. Just makes everything look flat
It’s a better bike, but look at the price. It’s not that cheap. Of course it’s better, but I can get a slightly used dual sport or even a T-7 for that price.
I dont know if you can brag about the suspension on it. I get it that is built to a price point but the forks have literally no adjustability and the rear shock is just garbage. Its definitely worth putting some money into the suspension if you are truly going to offroad with it. That said , its no where near good enough to brag about.
The bike is literally as cheap as they come yet has great built quality for said price.
And I don’t think you can fault Royal enfield with a working set of suspension, I mean if we need to do hard core off Roading we need to put some money into it.
@@shree397 they don't need a lawyer or a cheerleader
it should have been a twin
this is a very revvy engine. lacks some power in lower rpms
Great video, just that it is to be pronounced as "Himaalayan" than "Himlayan" . The name has meaning and the pronouncing it in wrong way would completely disregard that meaning. Thanks.
Bore it out to a 500 with a bigger flywheel 👍
>ride by wire, TFT dash, rider modes and rider modes
computers up the wazoo on an off-roady bike?
wake me up when they strip all that crap back and release the Scram 450..
CFMoto 450MT in corner smiling .
You'll cry when the CFMOTO breaks down.
CF Moto at 11-12 minutes in when it gets dropped on its side and the plastics break off…. 😿
Why does nobody talk about the fact that by the look of it the most expensive Hanel black model has tubes and a cheaper one has tubeless ? That’s f;)ked up Royal Enfield get ya shit together oh that’s it your all getting a free ride so don’t want to say anything bad ( truthful ) about a free lunch.
That's not correct. The Tubless model hasn't been released in Australia yet...there was one pre-production Kahmet white (tubeless model) on the launch, which lead rider Cam Donald rode.
Typical of RE talk about it for years and take another two to bring it out, wish they would just shut the hell up until they have it but expect nothing more from them. That is true.
Loved my past himalayans. Yet Itchy Boots didn’t say much great or bad about it she didn’t keep it and you know they offered her one for free. On the fence, coming from a Tiger 900. Again. Loved the 411
@@Kyrodan022they didn't offered her anything, she rode a pre production prototype.
@@Mono_Mal how stupid? Let’s show of the tubeless rim that you can’t get ? Typical of RE show it of but you can get it why not keep it under wraps until you can actually have it. Tools.
