Awesome!!! Absolutely Awesome!! My first ever PPV back in the day. The start of a great journey!!! Thx a lot for bringing back the amazing memories and good feel Moments!!!
WWE gave the fans NXT UK. However that’s like Hasbro giving UK collectors Transformers: Generations products that weren’t just Toys ‘R’ Us exclusives from Combiner Wars onwards but still shortchange them despite how big their UK fanbase is.
I used to work for Event Merchandising when I was 15/16 years old! Right in the middle of the attitude era. As a life long wrestling fan it was a dream come true! Great memories
I sat in a chair in front of the TV waiting for about an hour with the right channel on, the Video Recorder cued up, and the remote control in my hand ready to press record! I was literally bouncing on my chair as we got close and I remember it being incredible. I watched the recording over and over again, and then some more. I never bought the Silvervision official release as I had the recording off the tele so I never saw the extra matches until I got the tagged classics version. What a show though!!! Bret told the story on his meet and greet tour in the UK about Davey Boy being smashed during the match and his impression of him was amazing!!!
It's absolutely mind boggling that Cindy Lauper (and Arsenio Hall) hasn't been inducted into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame. If it wasn't for her (and Captain Lou) there never would've been a Rock & Wrestling Connection... period! Also, random thought here, I've always wondered why Beverly Brothers Hasbro figures were never made.
ive just managed to hook up my old vhs player to my new smart tv so im going to rewatch this VHS, cant wait to rewatch the entire show and feel like a kid again
Hawk was also "hitting the pipe" before that match. Also, Animal burnt his leg on the motorcycle engine as they were getting off the bikes. Yeah, that makes zero sense to not have Flair in a match. It's one of the major PPVs and it's in London. They should have had him in a match. Kamala doesn't get enough credit for how good he played that gimmick. I mean, look at his reaction when Undertaker sat up. He was really good at acting the part. I loved that gimmick. I wish he had recieved a better push with that gimmick.

I feel the L.O.D. vs Money INC Match was in a good spot on the card. I mean L.O.D. was so over using them there was a great way to Pop the crowd early on to keep the crowd energy up from early on the all the way through.
Thank you for this cool video about my all time favorite PPV. Watched this on the Balkone ones by placing the tv behind the window. That was fun & i'll do it again this summer 😎👍
Watched this live on TV in the UK with my parents... they absolutely loved it and I was gutted I couldn't go but this era of wrestling was a huge part of my childhood... i was a huge bret hart fan but I was over the moon davey won, shame he was in a state in the lead up but listening to brets funny interviews explaining it all showed how great of a performer he was... Nice trip down memory lane... the legion of doom angle was embarrassing with the doll looking back and I know they hated it but even with that I look back on this with huge fondness... been using this last batch of lockdown and boredom to go back to the late 80s/90s of wrestling and watch the shows and events... up to 93 from where I started in the 80s and working from home its been great :)
This was EPIC !! I lived around the corner from Wembley stadium and could hear it all from my back garden!! I was 8 and a hardcore wrestling fan! The WWF coming to the UK was a dream come true lol
Imagine the business they could've done over here during the attitude era if we had another proper ppv at Wembley, Twickenham or Hampden. Great times watching WWF/WWE via videos in the 90s growing up in the UK.
I was there. Travelled down on the bus from Newcastle with my Dad who hated wrestling. We sat right up in the nosebleeds and my Dad could tell I was a little gutted I couldn’t see the wrestlers up close, so we sneaked past security about halfway through and we ended up sitting on the floor around 10 rows back! I always remember the noise of the LoD music hitting.
Can remember waiting on phone for 40 mins to get two tickets for myself and my dad. £17.50 each, thought we would be up in the stadium itself so was pleasantly surprised to be on the floor level section. Great memories, would never know Davey Boy was in a mess, was one of the best matches I had seen and the noise when Davey Boy won was incredible ❤️👍
Recorded this when it originally broadcast in the UK and had it for years afterwards. The six man tag and Shango-Santana match were cut and the opening match was the LOD-Money Inc match. Tatanka v Bezerker wasn't included and neither was the Crush-Repoman match in the original broadcast. I seem to remember me and all my friends at school all decided to watch the repeat a few days later to see if the missing matches would be shown as they'd all been advertised on TV in the weeks building up with the exception of the Tatanka-Beserker and Shango-Santana matches if my memory serves me right. The same broadcast was shown on the repeat. Great memories.

Bret preferred to tell his story in the ring
WWE should make a big PPV in the UK, everyone requested that
WWE gave the fans NXT UK. However that’s like Hasbro giving UK collectors Transformers: Generations products that weren’t just Toys ‘R’ Us exclusives from Combiner Wars onwards but still shortchange them despite how big their UK fanbase is.
Girl?! I thought that kid was a boy for over 20 years!!!
its a boy......my opinion
Me too 😂
snap
Yeh i thought so too!
My thoughts exactly
This was just 10 days after my 10th birthday. Though I wouldn't see the PPV itself until I got the VHS tape about a year after it originally aired.
My favorite Summerslam. I was 12 and my friend always invited me to watch Slams and Manias. This show was the peak of my youth wrestling fandom.
3:07 - Also the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert (which is what I remember Old Wembley for the most), which was held 4 months prior to SummerSlam '92.
Give her 2 years
WB you always got the best content.
ive just managed to hook up my old vhs player to my new smart tv so im going to rewatch this VHS, cant wait to rewatch the entire show and feel like a kid again
Been a subscriber for almost a year and I gotta tell ya man your videos just continue to get better and better. The content / quality / subjects that you cover are always on point and just done so well. Your doing some really great work Bios .. Much appreciated ..
I know that you have a system and flow to the videos you work on and upload, but I had a request .. Even though you haven't done a 'Life / Career of ..' video for a bit, I was thinking one for Jerry 'The King' Lawler would be a really good one .. He's got a ton of history and background along with his life outside the ring ..
Excellent video, mate. This was the pinnacle of my childhood. 1992 was awesome. Learned a few new facts here today, about the cutout matches. Cheers!
This channel keeps getting better and better.
What a night it was first ever trip to wembley
Great Video, this was one of the best SummerSlams ever ;-)
I feel the L.O.D. vs Money INC Match was in a good spot on the card. I mean L.O.D. was so over using them there was a great way to Pop the crowd early on to keep the crowd energy up from early on the all the way through.
Thank you for this cool video about my all time favorite PPV. Watched this on the Balkone ones by placing the tv behind the window. That was fun & i'll do it again this summer 😎👍
BEST wrestling channel..EVER
Always a great video as always. You should cover more SummerSlam's in the future
Wrestling bios, you're the man. I love this Channel. You and Solomonster have the best wrestling channels hands down. ♥💯
This was EPIC !! I lived around the corner from Wembley stadium and could hear it all from my back garden!! I was 8 and a hardcore wrestling fan! The WWF coming to the UK was a dream come true lol
England are big wrestling fans. They love wrestling. They can packed the house and enjoy wrestling.
Imagine the business they could've done over here during the attitude era if we had another proper ppv at Wembley, Twickenham or Hampden. Great times watching WWF/WWE via videos in the 90s growing up in the UK.
Great content as ever! Really enjoyed this and I can remember the hype around the event from back in the day. Shame I couldn’t get a ticket!
I went to Summerslam 92, I was 11, managed to get against the railings of the walkway as well.
Incredible memories of seeing some legends up close!
Great content, EVERY TIME!! And DDP was giving you and the Monday night wars props on Facebook, tho I’m sure you’ve been told!!
I've been doing a deep dive on this match and PPV recently. And this new video uploaded is icing on the cake. 👌
13 year old me was there, brilliant event. I don't watch pro wrestling anymore, but these were found memories.
Another great wrestling Bio 👍😊👍
Can remember waiting on phone for 40 mins to get two tickets for myself and my dad. £17.50 each, thought we would be up in the stadium itself so was pleasantly surprised to be on the floor level section. Great memories, would never know Davey Boy was in a mess, was one of the best matches I had seen and the noise when Davey Boy won was incredible ❤️👍
The entire point of the PPV was to have the Bulldog win in the main event to get that deal with the UK even more over.
But for Bret Hart was established to become a main event which it is a singlehandedly performance by Bret
@@lexkanyima2195 absolutely. Had it been Micheals or just about anyone else it would've been a disaster.
@@InkWarrior it would have worked but it's unexpected at the time
Imagine if social media was around back then . It woulda been hard not to know the results beforehand
Honourable mention goes to Metallica, who played at Wembley 🤟🏻
love these vids mate only jus found them think a binge is on the cards ;)
Your work ethic is insane, thank you 🙏
Another great video from wrestling bios cheers ive got summerslam 92 on tagged classics I hope one day you mite be able to do a little video of uk ranpage 92 that would be great with it being held at Sheffield arena and 93 you put your videos together amazing ive got both 92 and 93 ranpage on tagged classics proper rare to get hold of as well keep them coming 👌
