The fans set up as the Union Jack on the floor was next level. Bret carrying a nervous and anxious Bulldog. By far the best match the Bulldog had in his career. With Bret calling the match in the ring it speaks measures of just how good The Hitman was. Love this You Tube channel! Keep the videos coming lad!

This is a bitter-sweet memory for me. I attended with my older brother and younger brother with his girlfriend. We had an amazing day being only 10 rows from the ring. I kept mementos and they were to become more than I expected. The following year my younger brother was killed in a car crash. The mementos from that day server as a reminder of the fun we had together and are cherished to this day. Thankyou WWF for giving us such a fantastic time.

Yeah it's known for Live Aid as much as it's known for sports. Queen's legendary performance there is still talked about all the time in the UK
Also it looked like no other stadium, it just seemed absolutely gigantic for some reason. The new Wembley is actually bigger than the old one, and has more seats, but it looks a lot smaller than the old one somehow.

I know you can't read every single comment and you get plenty enough feedback on your other social platforms (TH-cam and Pinterest are all I use), but I just wanted to simply thank you heartily for all the hard work you do on this amazing channel. You don't just review wrestling history, you go to great lengths to give us accurate accounts for wrestling angles, eras, even for those affiliated with the business. Sir, I really do enjoy your channel to the full; I watch wrestling only on the weekends (that way I don't get burnt out and it stays special, kind of like a rewarding system), and I can go to your channel and find any answer to any question I may have about where I'm getting caught up. I can't say I know how hard you work on each video, I don't create content, but I do see how much passion you put into them and I also know these things take lots of time to work on (especially with your Reliving The War series you're currently working on), but I noticed you didn't have anything on Ric Flair's personal yet. You've probably got his career retrospective on your to-do list already, however I thought I'd shout out a recommendation anyway. I don't have a job, so I can't do Patreon just yet, but I thought a compliment was the least I could do. God bless you and have a smashing Valentine's Day! Thats the genius of this match setup from his perspective. 1) He knew that WWF knew Bulldogs state at the time but also, the benefit of him main eventing in the UK. Bret delivered on the match and its just so satisfying to watch the dominoes after this fall to the point where he's the top man in the company. It certainly started before this event (some would say shortly prior to WW8 maybe and that piper match where he showed how good of a technical wrestler he was) but I think this is that next level. I was at a number of those early 90s WWF shows in the UK. Gutted that I wasn't able to go to Summerslam though. But I do feel really lucky that I got to see a lot of legends in the ring during those years between 1991 and 1994. Off the top of my head - Hulk Hogan, Earthquake, Nasty Boys, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Owen Hart, Tito Santana, Bam Bam Bigelow, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Steiner Brothers, Crush, Tatanka, the Headshrinkers. That's just a few I can think of immediately, there were loads more. Sad those days are gone and so many of the wrestlers are no longer with us.

I sat in a chair in front of the TV waiting for about an hour with the right channel on, the Video Recorder cued up, and the remote control in my hand ready to press record! I was literally bouncing on my chair as we got close and I remember it being incredible. I watched the recording over and over again, and then some more. I never bought the Silvervision official release as I had the recording off the tele so I never saw the extra matches until I got the tagged classics version. What a show though!!! Bret told the story on his meet and greet tour in the UK about Davey Boy being smashed during the match and his impression of him was amazing!!!

It's absolutely mind boggling that Cindy Lauper (and Arsenio Hall) hasn't been inducted into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame. If it wasn't for her (and Captain Lou) there never would've been a Rock & Wrestling Connection... period! Also, random thought here, I've always wondered why Beverly Brothers Hasbro figures were never made.

Hawk was also "hitting the pipe" before that match. Also, Animal burnt his leg on the motorcycle engine as they were getting off the bikes.
Yeah, that makes zero sense to not have Flair in a match. It's one of the major PPVs and it's in London. They should have had him in a match.
Kamala doesn't get enough credit for how good he played that gimmick. I mean, look at his reaction when Undertaker sat up. He was really good at acting the part. I loved that gimmick. I wish he had recieved a better push with that gimmick.

Watched this live on TV in the UK with my parents... they absolutely loved it and I was gutted I couldn't go but this era of wrestling was a huge part of my childhood... i was a huge bret hart fan but I was over the moon davey won, shame he was in a state in the lead up but listening to brets funny interviews explaining it all showed how great of a performer he was...
Nice trip down memory lane... the legion of doom angle was embarrassing with the doll looking back and I know they hated it but even with that I look back on this with huge fondness... been using this last batch of lockdown and boredom to go back to the late 80s/90s of wrestling and watch the shows and events... up to 93 from where I started in the 80s and working from home its been great :)

We sat right up in the nosebleeds and my Dad could tell I was a little gutted I couldn’t see the wrestlers up close, so we sneaked past security about halfway through and we ended up sitting on the floor around 10 rows back! I always remember the noise of the LoD music hitting.

Recorded this when it originally broadcast in the UK and had it for years afterwards. The six man tag and Shango-Santana match were cut and the opening match was the LOD-Money Inc match. Tatanka v Bezerker wasn't included and neither was the Crush-Repoman match in the original broadcast. I seem to remember me and all my friends at school all decided to watch the repeat a few days later to see if the missing matches would be shown as they'd all been advertised on TV in the weeks building up with the exception of the Tatanka-Beserker and Shango-Santana matches if my memory serves me right. The same broadcast was shown on the repeat. Great memories.
