Carters would have been better because they were down by one instead of tied. Even if Kawhi missed they would have won but yeah yeah still game seven buzzer beater.
Reliving this history was wonderful. Excellent documentary so far. All that was missing in this episode was a mention about Carter going to the Olympics, doing the Dunk of Death, and using that as rocket fuel for the season that followed.
I never booed Vince...ever! His was my first jersey. He was and will always be my favortie player. He is the greatest Raptor of all time and no-one comes close in my opinion. I've been going to the games since the beginning and I know how empty the seats were until Vince played and I 100% believe there would not be a team now in Toronto if it wasn't for Vince, just like Vancouver. Thank you Vince from the bottom of my heart for everything you did for Toronto on and off the court.
Mac never won anything ever after he left Torotno. Great talent, great career, great scorer. Could never take any of his teams out the 1st round. Shoutout Mac though, it's love. Kinda like Kawhi, hasn't won anything since he left.
It's crazy how us Raptor fans were unable to see a good chunk of VC's first two years just because not every game was televised. His reverse dunk v Indiana, the alley oop and game winner at the Clippers etc.
I hope Vince writes a memoir about his career and time in Toronto someday. He will always be my GOAT. I bought a VC jersey after seeing him in the dunk contest. He made me a Raptors fan.
This is a fantastic series but it seems like the entire Chris Bosh era is going to be quickly skipped over with the Lowry and DeRozan tease at the end? That's sad cause that period is an interesting time, with such an ahead of its time European flavor to the team that came about ten years too soon. It was also when we won our first ever division title. Bosh left in 2010 as the all time leader in points, blocks and rebounds and the revisionist history makes it seem like he barely played here.
One of my favourite transitions in the documentary too. I remember Vince playing but I was really too young to care lol. Demar and Kyle was my era for the raptors!! So looking forward to hear their experience with the franchise.
If it wasn’t for kawhi, Demar would be considered the GROAT. But due to kawhi’s MVP run which enabled Lowry to win a ring, some would consider Lowry as the greatest Raptor of all time THUS FAR. But Lowry was never option A on the team.
It's not the fact that Vince went to graduation, it's the fact that he WANTED to go to his graduation instead of worrying about the biggest game of his career. Ultimately, it was mircrocosm of his career.
I would’ve traded 2 first round picks and Alavin Williams for Antwon Jamieson in the summer of 2002. Also I never would’ve gotten rid of Oakley. That’s to much leadership your giving up also a veteran to keep Vince in check.
I was too young for this era. But all I’ve realized while watching these episodes is that Richard peddie had such a god complex. Ruined the franchise for damn near over a decade cuz he wanted to feed his giant ass ego. Forever hate Richard peddie
Thanks VC. Wow, Peddie still a meddling weasel that messed up this team big time. Take everything from Toronto's hack media with a grain of salt. Raptors fans hating VC back then fell for false narrative and those that still believe it, can't be helped. 😂
stoudamire, mcgrady, and carter could have had multiple championship runs. but their stupid egos got in their way. look at them now. the 3 of them have a combined total of 0 rings.
Glen grunwald was a idiot. Moment T-MAC turned down the mass contract he should’ve traded him to Houston for Scottie Pippen and a first before the Blazers traded for Pippen. Let T-MAC play along side Steve Francis if he doesn’t like being 2nd fiddle to Vince.
For all you (young gens) who believe Lowry should have had his jersey retired over VC15 is nonsense. VC15 is a HOF and Lowry with a career avg pts 14.0 isn't a HOF........
@@barrybombz7841 You really believe big corporate sponsorship will continue to give their coins to a losing product? The arena nowadays isn't full anymore, winning matters......
I randomly think about what if T Mac stayed with the Raptors till this day. lol
SAME
I wonder if TMac thinks about it
If t-Mac and Vince would stay together they would go to the finals for sure in 2001.
It could have been one of the greatest duos ever... only if...
I don’t too much T- Mac was a bum like Vince they had tendency to not give 100%.
Well done Sportsnet. This is an exceptional documentary that is worthy of an award.
Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words!
45:50: reliving that miss as a kid and then seeing Kawhi get revenge on Philly with his own buzzer beater was truly redemption.
Absolute facts
Carters would have been better because they were down by one instead of tied. Even if Kawhi missed they would have won but yeah yeah still game seven buzzer beater.

Whoever put this series together deserves a raise. These two parts plus the Kyle and DeRozan video are so well done.
Given how weak the East was back then, a T-Mac/Vince combo with an okay supporting cast around those two could've gotten them a finals appearance lol

Hard to envision that world now in the streaming era
Incredible work on this video. Took me down memory lane to some awesome times in my life.

These have been so well made and so much fun to watch and learn about everything I can't wait till part 3 comes out!
Thanks for watching!
Those VC jerseys need to comeback permanently
They are unbelievably sick
@@sportsnetyour company is a part-owner so don’t act like you couldn’t do it if you wanted to lol!

That would be an amazing read!
Vince is the most important player in Raptors history. Overwhelmingly for the better.
Watched part 1. Just finished part 2. Cannot wait for part 3. This is sooooo good to watch
Thanks for tuning in!
VINCE CARTER. BEST DUNKER EVER. HALL OF FAMER. RETIRED RAPTORS JERSEY.
LEGEND.

Great series, love that you’re doing this. Look forward to the next episode.
T-Mac was the sellout, not Vince. Wish they stayed together.

Stay tuned! 😉
Imagine if Masai was around during the Carter era.
The world was not ready for the monster that would have been
"Not a trick question, Greatest Raptor of All Time?"... then transitions into Kyle Lowry... plus DeMar DeRozan era. Cinema.

I love this! A Raptors supporter from Australial

Micheal Keaton😂😂😂 20:05
So they gonna skip over The Whole Chris Bosh Raptors Era and just right into The Demar/Kyle Era like that😂😂..That Cool..
You're gonna have to tune in and find out! 😉
@sportsnet For sure I will, I like how this series was put together...
Primo pasta is an era we'd all like to forget 😅
@jjjiljjjj I wanna see how they gonna explain that Era Of Raptors😆😆
McGrady always came off as a douche.
They didn't show when Vince promised to take us to the playoffs. Little did I know that we would be NBA champs someday❤
skipped Kevin o'neil? ahha damn
Lenny Wilkens got them to the playoffs in 01-02 off a 9 game winning streak to end the season
Facts. With Vince injured too!
@KardiFan2000 and if not for chris child's not knowing time and score. They were right there to knock off #2 seed Detroit in the first round
@@Kavveman93 Yup. Although I don't think they would've went far enough in the next round while waiting for Vince to get healthy.
unbiased rod black is f’in awesome
Incredible
These guys did the raptors wrong and never won a title. But they know deep down they would have if they put their ego's aside.
Miss these times
Such a sick era

Doug Smith needs to spring for some teeth.
Go raptors go from California
Definition of revisionist history…and I met Vince as a kid in the early 2000s!
I was too young for this era. But all I’ve realized while watching these episodes is that Richard peddie had such a god complex. Ruined the franchise for damn near over a decade cuz he wanted to feed his giant ass ego. Forever hate Richard peddie
Well Vince started faking injuries and became half effort half a season.. we need to move on and forget about him..
I'd rather take retirement advice from Bernie Madoff than to listen to Richard Peddie talk about sports.
Sorry but even if Tmac stayed there's no way they stopping Kobe /Shaq n the Lakers if they made it to the finals 🤷🏿
They would've at least made it to the Finals a couple times.
I think it would have been amazing just to see a team from Canada in the Finals back then.
Richard peddie has never taken accountability for anything in his life
Greatest raptor of all time?? There’s only 1 answer……… 😉
TAKE THE HAT OFF
BOTH 20 YEARS OLD PLAYER BLURRED

Toronto didn’t do right by Vince.
