You could probably make money just by metal scrap weight value in that super overcrowded piece of wood! Might be time to think about a replacement piece of plywood!👌🏻👍🏻🤔😄😂
Opened the nail gun up , complete tear down means take it apart, open the operating cylinder, to see can you fix broken striker or leaking seal. More rubber padding in Makita that in others.
As someone that works at a shop that is a Makita service station, i'm gonna go with the Dewalt just because we probably won't get these in to repair ourselves anytime soon.
Nice repair. Im 50/50 on gin to tear down, but leaning towards dewalt as its available, but new makita would be interesting, not yet available in Oz i dont think, but woukd atand corrected
I mentioned in another comment that I would prefer the Makita to see why it is heavier than everything else. Obviously listen to your patrons and paying members though! Tools & Stuff did open the cover only on his Makita.
Nail guns have extra mass because recoil , you can use makita battery adapter and have the battery on your belt , makes tool a pound / half a kilo lighter. Sadly that adapter is not available in many markets yet at this time , mainly in Japan. Similar what they use on PDC 01 batter back pack.
Ahhh, we didn't get the count for how many nails it's driven. What would you say the amount of nails one of these could fire before needing a service? You said 50,000, so I'm guessing that's the magic number.
I'd rather look inside Makita than DeWalt. I respect users who choose DeWalt but I'm not among them. If anyone hacks my Amazon history -- those were GIFTS! For OTHER people! FYI, I am used to the audio level varying a little in your videos, but this one does so more than most. Possibly clothing moving over the mic, or some such. This one time it seemed like it was messing with me, going the other way right after every time I made a level adjustment.
Dean, thank you so much for these vids! I have 2 x paslode 90mm guns, 1 old dewalt framer like this one, and a 16 ga dewalt second fix. Your vids are keeping them rolling! Is there a second hand 16 ga angled paslode you'd recommend please? I want one but cannot afford a new one right now! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi dean, I watch a lot of yours videos and very love it and i just want to know what brand do you recommand for 23g pin nailer and 18g nailer makita, dewalt or Milwaukee? I heard a lot of different opinion but i want to know what brand do you think is the best
Yes, but I no longer take them in for repair. Powerful gun, but they are basicly a disposable gun. They leak the gas and parts are extortionate money so they are not worth fixing.
Hi Dean I use contact cleaner but I can pick it up fairly cheap I see you use one that cost €12.30 should we really be using the expensive contact cleaner or will any contact cleaner do and did you ever figure out what really fails on the axes
In fairness the floppy handle has a diagonal brace one assembled (magazine) just like a good frame should, 😁. Dewalt please, is the magazine angle different from current?
"Quid" is slang for a British pound, Euro is the Eurozone currency... but those in the European Union who were used to pounds sterling, often still use the slang " Quid" when now referring to Euros. Hope that made sense! 😄
@@rodpatient9 True, except The Republic of Ireland remains a part of The European Union. While The post-Brexit United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland, does not. So, they can get used to pounds sterling, all over again.... 🤦🏻🤦♂🤦🏿♀
Time, I do this full time for a living. It's simply faster for me. In so use to dismantling tools now I don't use any order. Only thing needed is a clean work bench
I’d like to see the nail board go on auction. That would give you more than sufficient funds.
That's my modern industrial art piece in the making
You could probably make money just by metal scrap weight value in that super overcrowded piece of wood! Might be time to think about a replacement piece of plywood!👌🏻👍🏻🤔😄😂
You earned the funds from your Patreon and Super Thanks, so my vote is your vote.... for the Makita.
Tools & Stuff NZ channel just did a tear down of the new makita nail gun. So, I’ll say Dewalt
Opened the nail gun up , complete tear down means take it apart, open the operating cylinder, to see can you fix broken striker or leaking seal.

Tear down yeah NAH. the NZ tool opened it got scared... Stuffed it up, closed it,opened it, closed it opened it blah blah.
He is a useless 🐑 🍆
Makita definitely would be an awesome pull apart video 🤙🏼
Love the breakdown on the parts and cost .
As someone that works at a shop that is a Makita service station, i'm gonna go with the Dewalt just because we probably won't get these in to repair ourselves anytime soon.
I think you should buy the Makita Dean.
Makita - purely because your earlier videos showed dewalt intentionally making their older 18v nail guns obsolete by not offering parts.
WOuld love to see the inside of the video mate!!!
I always like your touch items of tools

@ I actually have the XGT version of that adapter, can be nice with some outdoor tools.
Dewalt. Thanks Dean
Would love to see Makita one
Love your videos but I would like to see the Makita gun.
Should hang that nail wall in an art museum 😂
🙄
I'm very curious about the new dewalt gun to see If there is much difference inside whether its better or worse
I want to see the makita one

Dewalt 👍
Yes DeWalt teardown
Another vote for the Makita.
I would like to see the Makita gun

Makita here.

Makita, I'm sure you will get a dewalt in soon
🤣
Have you fixed the Milwaukee nail gun before?
Yes, but I no longer take them in for repair. Powerful gun, but they are basicly a disposable gun. They leak the gas and parts are extortionate money so they are not worth fixing.
@ mine stoped sending nails all the way in. They would only fall about 1/2 in. I read that the gas chamber leaks and can be refilled.
Makita please.
Hi Dean I use contact cleaner but I can pick it up fairly cheap I see you use one that cost €12.30 should we really be using the expensive contact cleaner or will any contact cleaner do and did you ever figure out what really fails on the axes
Do you repair US drones😁
Ha, seen that. They always make you look up, when they don't want you looking at them.
How many nails did she shoot?
Forgot to check
dewalt please Dean many thanks
Just walked out to the garage.... sure enough a 20v dcn692.
In fairness the floppy handle has a diagonal brace one assembled (magazine) just like a good frame should, 😁.
Dewalt please, is the magazine angle different from current?
Makita dean
Makita all day......👍🏴
Dewalt 22:02
Dewalt seem more inclined to do a shifty on parts availability, Makita would be my choice
MAKITA PLEASE!
I'm sure there's a way to fix that part, can't be that complicated
Makita!!
De Wilt 😂
Question from an American, what's the difference between Quid, Euro's and Pounds?
"Quid" is slang for a British pound, Euro is the Eurozone currency... but those in the European Union who were used to pounds sterling, often still use the slang " Quid" when now referring to Euros. Hope that made sense! 😄
Don't forget the irish pound or punt before the euro came in. Yes I'm that old amd sell say it
@@rodpatient9 True, except The Republic of Ireland remains a part of The European Union. While The post-Brexit United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland, does not. So, they can get used to pounds sterling, all over again.... 🤦🏻🤦♂🤦🏿♀
@rodpatient9 thanks for explaining it to me, I love his videos and he uses all 3 as a price, now I know
dewalt or both
Makita please
Dewalt
I say the makita
Makita
Dewalt please
makita
Seen that open , look like all the other .

I like your videos but why do you throw the screws and parts over the table
Time, I do this full time for a living. It's simply faster for me. In so use to dismantling tools now I don't use any order. Only thing needed is a clean work bench
Why don't you try using some Regaine 🤢🤮
Neither
Dewalt teardown & nailing use strength opinion! 👍🏻👌🏻😄🔨🛠️📐
Give the DeWalt a go then just sell it afterwards so you can get the Makita later in February when it's available.
Makita please
