Always chose infiniti when your looking for the best bang for your buck. This car is leasing for 302 a month!!! i mean come one man. 328 horses? look at the interiour its amazing. The grill? guys its a no brainer.
Where is it $300 a month? This is a $55000 car, and the build and price for the 300hp Sport model works out to $870 monthly on the Infiniti website calculator....I’m using 48 months and the max kilometers annually but assuming you’re not keeping it for 6 years and 15,000 annually....
Working for Infiniti, I've gotten a good amount of seat time behind the Q50S and it is definitely an underrated car. Lots of people complain about the steer by wire technology, but when they don't understand that it's an option and you don't have to give Infiniti hell for doing it. Like many others, I find it numb too, but it's still an interesting feature that should be experienced. I love the car overall. Makes me regret buying (at the time) a new Infiniti before the Q50 was released. The modifications being made for this car are awesome too. Airrex has already developed bags for the car, Stillen has made a supercharger, exhaust, and various lip kits. It's a wonderful car and with the right things done to it, it's going to be an awesome car to modify in the car scene. EDIT: Just finished watching the entire review, (stopped to leave the comment above) Infiniti now offers a sports muffler kit with every Q50. Not sure how much it costs, but it's definitely worth optioning on because it gives the car it's G/Z character.
I've kept my eye on this car ever since it came out I've always been the Lexus IS type of person This beats it in every way, in my opinion. Currently looking at G37's for 25k Freaking steal IS's are still 30k
My 2nd car in the Infiniti family a 2015 Q50S Graphite Shadow with tech package. This car looks mean and has sharp swoosh design which I like. It's quite a looker and it's a beast. Drove from LA to Las Vegas with 5 passengers and the car is flying even in the hills.
Bought a used 2015 Q50 S last year. The last model year with the 3.7 before they switched to the twin turbo 3.0. This car is fast! But beware this thing goes through gas Crazy. I’m always driving on eco mode unless I’m trying to go fast. When you put it in sport mode this thing takes off. No mechanical issues so far and loving it 👍.
Just bought my 2nd Infinity, a Q50S, what a beautiful car, drove my 2007 G35 and traded it in for this, I also had 146,000 miles on it with zero problems, driven BMW's like them but this Car is very nice, plus my wife loves it so hey a win win.
just got mine in December and I can say I have no type of buyers remorse .....definitely liked it better than da Lexus is 250 ,now feeling better dat I didn't get a BMW cuz now everybody has a BMW ...hated da Mercedes c300 and I just received compliment after compliment getting a bunch if head turns ...feels good to have something different
it’s 2020 and here i am watching this review at 16 years old. trying to find my first car. it’s between this a Camaro RS and a Chevy Silverado. i turn 17 next week
Get the q50 its luxurious fast and fun and practical if ur parents are worried about the camaro i mean i see q50s go for 13k in my area with 90k miles but the vq37 will last you 300k miles
Great review and exactly aligned with my thoughts. I just bought a Q50 last saturday after test driving a C300, 335xi, A4, A6, ATS, CTS 3.6, TL, RL, and old 2013 used G37xS. Have to say that the bang for the buck and all round package is really the best with the Q50awd. It's faster than its german rivals, its just as well appointed, and rather than spending $800/mo, I have a very comfortable payment of $480/mo. Couldnt be happier with styling, power, comfort, drivability, and overall packaging. There are some cons to the car in that the technology is a bit over kill for my liking but at the end of the day, excess is best and I am a very pleased buyer.
You're wrong about the bigger engine, mate. The Q50S has a Hybrid version... but it's nothing like a normal hybrid. The hybrid has a smaller engine (3.5L) but has an in-line electric motor that produces 199lb/ft at 0rpm. Since it's in-line with the transmission you can actually cruise at highway speeds on electric power only, which is both cool and weird. The hybrid produces a net of about 360hp and a torque somewhere in the 400lb/ft range (though you actually can't really calculate it). This is a sub 5-second 0-60 car and is really impressive. I put my money where my mouth is and bought one, trading in a 2008 M3 and haven't missed it in the slightest. Added the new Infiniti Sport Exhaust to it and the soundtrack becomes addictive. Really, I wish you lived closer to me (St. Louis) so I could let you drive take it for a test drive :)
Gavin Haslett Wow, that's interesting to hear that you like it better than your M3! Yeah I've been hearing more about the Hybrid version and it might be exactly what the car needs! My only worry is that they hybrid system would make the car feel heavier and not quite as fun in the corners. I could be wrong though.
subaruwrxfan It definitely feels heavy but not as much as you might think. The car still handles amazingly well due to stuff like Active Trace Control. No, its no M3 but it's still mighty impressive. Honestly 11k miles and 6 months in I couldn't be happier. I don't miss the M3's repair or maintenance bills at all :-)
Dude your reviews are awesome! You put so much life into your feedback, sure gives the viewer a clear sense of your experience testing out the vehicle. Rather than other reviewers who are so bland. Keep up the great videos! Kudos. -Also, would be awesome if you could review a VW CC R-Line at some point!!!
I just can't get over the fact that they used the same interior center stack as my 2013 Hyundai Sonata. It's pretty identical. Love the exhaust and the exterior of the car tho.
The Q50S looks awesome. And that brown metallic color! It would have a more aggressive stance if the wheels fill the wheel well better. I guess one could upgrade to bigger tires. The Infiniti grill looks great too, unlike Lexus' huge Darth Vader helmet looking thing. My mother thought a piece had broken off the Lexus, where the grill is. LOL
Ram_Bro 73 it all comes down to what are you looking for, as you know. Me, I enjoy the drive of a car. I'm sure this would've supplied it, along with the luxury, but I feel the 370 was better. Just whatever it is that'll float you boat, it's a large investment, make it worth it.
Sounds like a great car but hey moms, wives, girlfriends and grandmas would like the sport mode too. G35 owner and all of the above. Life in the fast lane since 1965
EcoBoost is only 3500. 350 lbs makes a pretty big difference. Also, EcoBoost has 51 extra lbs/ft of torque which helps it feel like it's pulling harder.
MrHess9298 The Infiniti has more power, but its peak torque is inferior (by about 50 lb/ft). The Mustang gets its peak torque at a low RPM of 3000. The peak torque arrives at a high RPM (of 5200) in the Q50S. That's basically why the Mustang would do a better job of throwing you back into your seat.
like i have said on many other reviews for this car, its very very good, i was expecting a rebadged nissan but after driving a few and going on a trip with one over 300 miles its proven to be a great luxury car and that front is so sexy. its not quiet up to the level of luxery that Lexus or Cadillac offer but compared to acura, buick, or Lincoln this is definitely runner up. still has a way to go before they will be at the level of BMW or audi but then again its far cheaper then those. good job infinti
Been driving several infinities and so far, I always like the rawness of G but Q is just for graduated G drivers. More refined. The engine is definitely needing an upgrade with turbos but VQ is still ok for now. Looking at your review, I think the Q50S RWD HYBRID will answer all the cons you have. Having 0 rpm torque is another different story. Although it is a little faster 0-60 (which is 5 second flat), the feeling on hybrid is totally different. Give it a try and give a review on it. Try 0-60 with sport, auto, and TC off on hybrid RWD.
Great review dude I gotta disagree about the mercedes c300 being more luxurious. I owned a c350 and the interior was inferior to the infiniti q50. Materials felt better in the q50
chrisak49 Yeah I knew about the Hybrid, but I didn't realize it was faster than the non-hybrid. If you're local to the Pittsburgh area send me a message and we can work something out!
brandon switzer mercedes interiors is beginning to watered down in these newer models. Audi is running the luxury with the best interiors especially in their S and RS models.
Very good review, a good looking car, but this car is very expensive to maintain. A better choice is the Nissan Maxima SR, the only thing about it I do not like is the transmission.
+Joshua Schanen coming from a fully loaded g37x I couldn't be happier with the purchase. The car doesn't hunt for gears, sport mode makes it feel so much faster, much much much better handling. Not to mention drop dead gorgeous. Thanks again for this review it help me make the purchase
+Joshua Schanen the car constantly feels like it wants you to push it harder around turns. I don't notice too much under steer like other critics have mentioned.
just fyi, the sd slot is for the gps map data that you can pull out and update. The sports model also comes in as Hybrid which actually uses the electric motor to boost the hp and torque even further (up to 360 hp i believe)
The crazy story is that you can grab a q40 awd for less money. Same power, same awd, just fewer features. It's basically a rebadged g37. Love the front end of the q50 though. Might be interesting to snag a quick drive of a q40 and see what you think of that now that you've reviewed the q50...
The look is spot on...and will def. hold its age well like all G's. I've worked on the first gen...and I think mechanically their very easy to work with. The interior is a generation behind the european brand though....but way superior to other chinese and korean brands. So overhaul extremely great bang for buck. I'd get one simply because they age very well...Infiniti design language is very very great in my opinion.
Not sure if someone already asked this before, but you should review the 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat. 707hp in a sedan is just insane and I'd really like to see your take on it.
subaruwrxfan Just wanted to say that I really love your videos man. Always a good extensive review on just about every car you do review. Keep 'em coming man! Cheers :)
How is the maintenance, cost-wise? Consider this vehicle and can find some used for a decent price. Just don't want to spend an arm and a leg to keep this beyond the duration of payments owed ha.
You should do a review on the q50 Hybrid at 360hp, and the red sport at 400hp. Let us know what the cars feel like then : ) . I honestly think like many in the comments, you have to be stupid to buy a new or used car which is much less reliable (as the HR motor is bullet proof), then pay the higher maintenance costs, and get a less spec'd car because of the badge, especially when you can have all the tech , room and comfort of the infinity. Compare apples with apples, and start ticking the options list on the Europeans, and see what the cost really comes to compared to the Q50.
Like that bronze, chestnut? Not many ppl buy them. Because its like a brown car(who wants that) that they describe with fancy names. Seen one with bronze wheels. Absolute fire!
Great review! You probably didn't expect much from the vehicle because most of the magazines bashed the vehicle for its steering! These magazines hate change, and the hatred towards the steering is a prime example. You on the other hand loved the steering! Infiniti will be putting a 3.0l V6 Twin Turbo in this vehicle in the coming years; you should review it! Also they have a performance hybrid available, its a rocket (400 ft-lbs of torque). Keep up the great work!
I'm going to be in Pittsburg next month and was actually going to ask you if you'd be willing to review my 2015 Q50S, but somebody else beat me haha. Awesome car, I love driving mine.
With these cars and most later model Infiniti the transmission and throttle response adapt to drivers use, so if the ecu isnt reset before the test any casual driving done before will slowly desensitize and slow it down as it never needs to be extremely quick as the driver did not drive that way to begin with and the car adjusted accordingly for smoother shifting and better mpg.
Great review. But curious, how do people like having paddle shifters on the steering column? To shift while in a turn, you have to either readjust the whole wheel or take your hand off the wheel, which seems straight up inconvenient.
Justin Welker Going to copy my reply from another comment: "Don't you move your hands around whenever you turn the wheel? I thought the same thing too until I actually tried it. By having the paddles on the column no matter where your hands are you can still shift. But if it was on the wheel, whenever you're turning it, you would have a hard time trying to catch the moving paddles." Say whenever you are turning the wheel and need to shift, since the paddles are fairly large you can just use a finger and quickly tap it, not having to worry about missing because it is going to stay right there.
RexSpec06 Don't you move your hands around whenever you turn the wheel? I thought the same thing too until I actually tried it. By having the paddles on the column no matter where your hands are you can still shift. But if it was on the wheel, whenever you're turning it, you would have a hard time trying to catch the moving paddles.
Pandora Squared Yeah true, I guess it depends whether you steer by keeping your hands at fixed positions on the wheel as it moves, or feed the wheel through your hands as you keep them in the same position, if that makes sense.
RexSpec06 That makes perfect sense actually. That's how professional race car drivers steer and that's why paddle shifters are SUPPOSED to be mounted on the steering column. But not all auto manufactures try to inspire features based on race cars.
Always chose infiniti when your looking for the best bang for your buck. This car is leasing for 302 a month!!! i mean come one man. 328 horses? look at the interiour its amazing. The grill? guys its a no brainer.
Joey Boombatz to me it's ugly. Lexus >
Joey Boombatz true
Lexus is the best but very pricey. For a used luxury I would buy an Infiniti. You can get good deals
Where is it $300 a month? This is a $55000 car, and the build and price for the 300hp Sport model works out to $870 monthly on the Infiniti website calculator....I’m using 48 months and the max kilometers annually but assuming you’re not keeping it for 6 years and 15,000 annually....
acchaladka you can get one for the lowest I've seen $19,998

Currently looking at G37's for 25k
Freaking steal
IS's are still 30k
GuyWiththeHair G37's are nice. The sports variant in the sedan for is amazing. Definitely a hidden gem when it comes to taking it on a backroad.
I love my 2008 G35 sedan.
***** Your typical enthusiast is not going to like it but your typical infiniti buyer will want it for it's effortless driving.
Niclacoste Better steering feel and handling than the Q50.
Man I know this is an old video but thank you, ur definitely helping me find my next car feel like u reviewed all of my options
It's November 2019, and this video got me interested in trading my BMW 335i for the Q50S. -:p
Same he has reviewed all except for the m57
For those that don't know, the car has a steering column going to the rack in case of failure so you won't lose control if something happens.
Q50 0-60mph around 5.1s, Q50 hybrid version can do 4.8s , really amazing cars.
the hybrid is faster? makes no sence
Jehad Joseph yeah it makes more power but it’s a 3.5 not a 3.7
kts20021157 dhdt
Jehad Joseph actually it makes perfect since
@@jehadjoseph8409 it has more power so yeah it makes sense
I think your reviews are becoming more nuanced and at the same time easier to understand as time goes by, great job
This interior beat the same class German cars hands down. I had to choose this one for that reason and the price difference.
+Sable Williams ...couldn't agree more...
+Sable Williams not even close huney
nise speleeng men
No German interiors still win sorry. But, you get the most bang for your buck with Infiniti
Reliability vs the 328?
I love the Q50. Smooth ride and plenty of power.
archinuk417 n. N. N
Had a 2015 Q50 s. Great car, but gas mileage sucks really bad
Reliable vs 328?
Awesome job bro! loving the car but definitely not sold on the whole numbers and "Q" naming thing lol.
Street Speed 717
Who's mans is this
street speed you know what an INFINTY IS!? NO Way!? best car for budget
I also picked a cpo 2015 Q50S. It had 9835 miles when I got it. It was basically brand new.
How many miles you got now and is it Reliable
Your honestly one of the best car TH-camrs on TH-cam keep doing what you doo! You just keep getting better with the reviews great work keep it up
Sport and luxury is an amazing combination
Just bought my 2nd Infinity, a Q50S, what a beautiful car, drove my 2007 G35 and traded it in for this, I also had 146,000 miles on it with zero problems, driven BMW's like them but this Car is very nice, plus my wife loves it so hey a win win.
I’m in the market for a 2014 sport but the gas mileage is my only concern. Is it great?
I love the adrenaline rush he gets when he turns on sports mode... all calm and composed and then boom... he becomes Spanish.
I'm saving up for the Q50S Hybrid.
just got mine in December and I can say I have no type of buyers remorse .....definitely liked it better than da Lexus is 250 ,now feeling better dat I didn't get a BMW cuz now everybody has a BMW ...hated da Mercedes c300 and I just received compliment after compliment getting a bunch if head turns ...feels good to have something different
Reliability vs the 328?
I bought this car 3 years ago still amazing the VQ37HRV ENGINE is amazing I did the mufler delete sounds better than any V6 super reliable

Now in 2016 There's a 400 hp version called the red sport
yes and its a fantastic car. love it
This guy is the best car reviewer on TH-cam. Do the Hybrid!
This will be my next car! And the VQ is a beast
It’s a real bang for your buck Nissan reliability with awd and a good amount of speed when you need it
matt, i'd love to see you do a review on an older miata (na/nb). cmon, you know you'll love it!
Yes own a na Miata. Fun car.
Josh Wallace Haha I finally found one a nice one, just trying to figure out when to make the trip to review it!
subaruwrxfan a boosted miata!

my dad just bought the q50 rwd and it pulls hard
I’m in the market for a new car and the Q50 was on my radar. This video definitely makes me want to get it more. Love the way it looks!
I like watching you do car reviews, you can tell that you genuinely love what you do.

Mike Terry did you end up gettimg it? And how is it if you did??
Ram_Bro 73 I did not, the ones I kept looking at were selling like hot cakes. Ended up with a 370Z

Great review! I need to find this exact spec q50… perfect year, color, interior option and wheels. I neeeeed it
Loved the review bud! Infiniti makes great cars.
You said that car is heavy but it weighs almost the same as the ecoboost and it has more power than the ecoboost
EcoBoost is only 3500. 350 lbs makes a pretty big difference. Also, EcoBoost has 51 extra lbs/ft of torque which helps it feel like it's pulling harder.
subaruwrxfan but the infinity is awd
MrHess9298 but awd is heavier
MrHess9298 The Infiniti has more power, but its peak torque is inferior (by about 50 lb/ft). The Mustang gets its peak torque at a low RPM of 3000. The peak torque arrives at a high RPM (of 5200) in the Q50S. That's basically why the Mustang would do a better job of throwing you back into your seat.
Chase G I don't hate American cars I just said the infinity is probably just as fast as the ecoboost if not faster
like i have said on many other reviews for this car, its very very good, i was expecting a rebadged nissan but after driving a few and going on a trip with one over 300 miles its proven to be a great luxury car and that front is so sexy.

I like the fact that the Infiniti still uses normally aspirated engine, while all the German rivals are turbocharged. Nice review as always ;-)
this aged badly
Great review dude I gotta disagree about the mercedes c300 being more luxurious. I owned a c350 and the interior was inferior to the infiniti q50. Materials felt better in the q50
You didn't do your homework. Infiniti offers a Q50S Hybrid. Crazy torque and horsepower. If you want to take mine out for a review let me know.
chrisak49 Yeah I knew about the Hybrid, but I didn't realize it was faster than the non-hybrid. If you're local to the Pittsburgh area send me a message and we can work something out!
I personally still find Mercedes to do the nicest interior in that price range.
brandon switzer mercedes interiors is beginning to watered down in these newer models. Audi is running the luxury with the best interiors especially in their S and RS models.
I tried the hybrid version... all the torque you ever wanted. Gotta try it!
When you mentioned the direct competitors are Germans like BMW, Audi and Mercedes
, I think you missed Acura RLX and Lexus IS350
Can you review a Lexus IS350?
I agree!
Naww cause its ugly
Recently acquired a 2015 q60s. Much better sound. More fun.
Could you include exhaust revving clips with each review? I wanted to hear you rev that epic VQ engine.
HellzHonour i 2nd this.
HellzHonour He usually does those in separate videos. I usually skip past those kinds of clips on reviews unless its a V8 or higher.
HellzHonour VQ's sound like shite, like nails in a fucking tin.

Mid cycle refresh will be getting the all new 3.0 liter twin turbo engine that will debut in the next Q60. That should be fun.

almost got one of these ended up with an acura tlx. still like the q50s.
Nothing like the infinity q50. Infinity is a pitbull and Acura is a chihuahua
@@windycityliving2858 😂
Still loving mine!
Have you ever tried to get your hands on a Subaru Impreza 22b sti? The Subaru wrx fan needs one of those reviews under his belt.
Good video! You're the only car youtuber im subbed to.
That color is on point
hey matt , maybe you can mention 0-60 times in youre reviews ? grts
4.9
davy vermeiren uhhh no
Not sure if someone already asked this before, but you should review the 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat. 707hp in a sedan is just insane and I'd really like to see your take on it.
Love your reviews on cars. Can you please do a car review on Acura?
Beautiful car I have to agree with you Matt. You can get really good deals on these certified preowned
subaruwrxfan Just wanted to say that I really love your videos man. Always a good extensive review on just about every car you do review. Keep 'em coming man! Cheers :)
ThatGuyWhoTypes Thank you!
such a nice car, great review Matt
you should review the q50 redsport now. insane motor 400hp
Abe Choucair Recheck!!
You should review the new Q50 400 Red Sport. 3.0 Twin Turbo V6. It's a Beast
2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan vs 2015 Infiniti Q50s of the two which one would you get?
How is the maintenance, cost-wise? Consider this vehicle and can find some used for a decent price. Just don't want to spend an arm and a leg to keep this beyond the duration of payments owed ha.
Great review as usual. I'd love to see a review on the new or older Maxima
Finaly the q50s!!!!
Man, I love your videos! Much appreciated if you review Q60. Thanks!
awesome car AND awesome review man!
Your vocal audio is usually muffled, when you're outside do you think you could fix it somehow?
Adam Reed Yeah I need to upgrade my lavelier microphone to a better one. Hoping to do that in August.
Oh okay, cool!:)
Like that bronze, chestnut? Not many ppl buy them. Because its like a brown car(who wants that) that they describe with fancy names. Seen one with bronze wheels. Absolute fire!
Glorious!
Is a 2014 Infiniti Q50 with 120,000 miles for $10,000 worth buying?
If the maintenance was kept up to date then yes
Dude, your reviews have gotten really really good. Great job and keep it up!
Well it did come in hybrid at debut with 360HP until eventually offering the red sport 400 w/ 400HP .
I'm looking to buy a 2014 but I only see premium ones. What's the difference between the S and Premium?
Brandon Taylor Premium is more focused on luxury, features and comfort. The S has a sport suspension, bigger breaks, sport seats, sport front bumper.
Hope you get to tryout the hybrid S
They really dropped the ball in my opinion by not dropping the rouge. Would have been crazy
Really great review!
Good job as always
Great review! You probably didn't expect much from the vehicle because most of the magazines bashed the vehicle for its steering! These magazines hate change, and the hatred towards the steering is a prime example. You on the other hand loved the steering!
Infiniti will be putting a 3.0l V6 Twin Turbo in this vehicle in the coming years; you should review it! Also they have a performance hybrid available, its a rocket (400 ft-lbs of torque). Keep up the great work!
If the car happens to die at 70 mph, how do you steer it?
It's wild cause my g37 locked up at 60 on a country back road and if I couldn't steer I woulda been more fucked than I already was 😂
@@alexbass4102 yikes haha
You should do a video in a 15 or 16 charger R/T road and track. the 8 speed is better than the 5 speed you tested in the one you did.
Great review my man
I'm going to be in Pittsburg next month and was actually going to ask you if you'd be willing to review my 2015 Q50S, but somebody else beat me haha. Awesome car, I love driving mine.
I only have about 1300 miles on mine so far.
Also you should try to get your hands on an Alfa Romeo 4C to review
With these cars and most later model Infiniti the transmission and throttle response adapt to drivers use, so if the ecu isnt reset before the test any casual driving done before will slowly desensitize and slow it down as it never needs to be extremely quick as the driver did not drive that way to begin with and the car adjusted accordingly for smoother shifting and better mpg.
Please tell me you're getting your hands on a Mustang gt350 when they are released! Dying to see your review on that
Great review.
Justin Welker Paddle shifters are SUPPOSED to be on the steering column. They are fixed so you always know where they are while you are driving.
Any plans on reviewing a TLX in the future and giving a cross comparison of the two?
I see you've been lifting Matt lol. Anyway I really love the front end on these new Infiniti.
Wouldn't it be more convenient to have the shift paddles on the wheel so it's always at your fingertips no matter what position your hands are at?
There is a Hybrid version with 354 horsepower combined with the electric motor... I was looking at that before I got my M37x...
