Friends, what do you think of my idea of using an atomic wheel? Write your comments and suggestions, and you can also rate this idea on a 10-point scale.
reading all of the safety comments and noticing that stack of old tires reminded me of some great videos ive watched of creative folks making furniture. theyre using what they have and creating a way for income (the safety considerations are atrocious haha) as well as teaching a craft. maybe search "furniture from old tires" or chair, couch etc. ive watched tons of it and appreciated the ideas its given me. maybe something interesting for you too. stay well 👊🇺🇲🇺🇲

As often seen on these type videos, the more difficult parts of the fabrication are skipped over. The positioning of the square support tubes to the rim for welding is done half width to a sloping side, so the initial cut as shown won't do. So he then had to resort to trial and error for the fitment , and in turn the welding of it in place was not shown.
It's okay, this moment was intentionally missed, it could have been done without complications, you just had to lower the bottom pad by an inch, but I already had the front swivel wheels, and if I lowered the pad, they wouldn't fit, and I didn't want to buy another set) so if you adjust the front wheels in height right away, you won't have to complicate the project like I did, so I didn't show this moment.
Thank you for appreciating my work! I use a mask and glasses! but a lot of people comment on gloves, I don't like gloves( but I'll try to force myself to wear them more often
Putting the gas bottle between the axles would eliminate the need for the concrete ballast. However, it is your time and money so if it works for you that's all that matters. Good project, well done, except for rubbing your hand across the freshly cut square tube, but it's your fingers. 👍
This idea, according to statistics, is useful to 99% of my channel viewers! Let’s say I do what’s good for you, but there will definitely be another grumbler who won’t like something)))
200$ worth of new steel. I don't see where the car rim is even needed. Just a piece of plate would do the same thing. You just incorporated a piece of junk into what was otherwise a nice build.
I don't like gloves. especially in such delicate moments as grinding and cutting metal) but I always wear breathing protection and goggles while working with an angle grinder
No gloves cutting and grinding. ? Sends a message thst its acceptable . It is not. Fragments of wheel etc can injure prople who do similar things without the knowledge of what s possible outcome. Grinding wheel has fragments and dust of carbides and fiberglass that bind the cutting grinding wheel together. The dust from cutting and grinfing should be done outdoors if possible. My background in industrial maintenance 50 years gives me the chills when I see stuff like this that sends a message of fly by the seat of your pants fabrication thats done in home workshops. Inform yourself of safety first practice . Keep yourself and others safe from injury and illness and use gloves , faceshields and goggles to protect yourself , onlookers, and others who might be curious about your work.Lets try and be safe. Even in industrial settings rules are not adhered to, thats the safety officer saving your eyes when he flags you for a infraction. I could go on and on. This type of wing it , semi intelligent home building has a real downside.
lol. This is why the world has gotten so soft. Yes it is important to be safe and take responsibility for your own actions. He is willing to accept the risks. You choose to do what’s right for you. Your safety is your responsibility, not his.
Gloves do not protect against injury, and in some cases they can even make the situation worse! In such delicate moments as grinding and cutting metal with a 125 grinder, I don’t use gloves! But respiratory protection and goggles are mandatory personal protective equipment. But I heard your opinion, in the future I will try to improve, I will try to work not only with a respirator and glasses, but also use gloves, or I will write a warning so that they don’t repeat me)
I think your type of wing it fabricstion sends and gives the wrong message of whats possible since you are unaware of the basic safe practice of grinding and cutting etc . Sorry . When someone shows or demonstrates practices who may not know better ( kids perhaps) you are the person perpetuating a cycle of future injury

@@johnny79309 you are a person perpetuating excuses for a generation of people that do not take responsibility for their own actions and a cycle of weak minds trying to tear down anything with nonsense logic. if a kid is swift enough to weld, grind, calculate measurements etc then that kid doesnt need telling the correct safety precautions, he fucking knows them already. leave menscraft7985 alone, hes great its the ideas to spark other ideas.

This is such a creative and innovative idea I am amazed at how useful an old car wheel can be Thank you for sharing this brilliant concept
Thanks for appreciating my idea! I will try to please you with creative ideas in the future.

Thanks buddy! I will work on safety! I already have ideas about wheels)
Pretty cool. I would add an electric extension reel for whenever the outlet is far.
Thank you for appreciating my work! with a wire extension cord this is a great idea, thank you!
Good job. A concrete counter weight for stability for your welding cart. Thanks for the video. Take care. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Nice little project and functionable

Big thumbs up
I was glad to do this for you!

Really great design!
I do think you need some PPE (personal protective equipment) ...
You're young ... Try not to get a life altering injury, please?

nice work, poster...be well!
Thank you for appreciating my work!
Gratulation,perfekt
Danke Kumpel!
Clever build. I hate put a turd in the punch bowl, but if you added up the materials cost, you could buy a cart for about the same or less.
I have seen worse ideas for sure, well thought out and well constructed.
I agree, there is no limit to perfection
I could have made one of those ⚡️but I don’t have a welder ⚡️
That is some cat!!! 😮
i need to learn how to weld. i'd be unstoppable...
))))
A serious device. It looks like an intensive care unit. You're trying hard
Thank you for appreciating my work! My wife also said that the cart looks like medical equipment)))
Why the rim?
For stability of the trolley and cylinder
👍👍👍
The car wheel is not necessary
In general, you can do without a cart)
Just buy a proper trolley for the job??
And you wrote this on the DIY channel? Are you serious dude?)))))
@@menscraft7985 I could spend my DIY time doing something more useful!! 👍

I heard your opinion, but I did it the way I like it, and I like the stability of this cart.

Fine
Interesting idea. How about spending some time effort etc on gloves etc . Instead of garnering views and building a channel

Ignorant person perpetuating casual operation of tools without proper safety gear . Bad bad bad!
