Hi George as some others commented you should definitely try Northeastern brazilian food like Moqueca de peixe, bobó de camarão, tapioca com recheio de camarão and buchado de bode. For dessert you can try Amazonian fruits like Acerola ice cream or Graviola.. you can’t find these fruits anywhere else. There is also pamonha doçe (yellow corn boiled dessert) canjica (white corn dessert) and quindim (egg dessert). I hope you can sample some of these much loved Brazilian classics! Enjoy 🙏🏻

You should definitely try visiting Northeast brasil next time, like Porto de Galinhas, Lençóis maranhenses, Fernando de Noronha, Natal and many others, it’s so beautiful!!! Also the Iguaçu falls in the border with Argentina which is one of the seven natural wonders of the world ! In center Brazil is worth looking in to visiting the capital Brazilia and the Chaoada dos Veadeiros, in the south Jordão, Florianópolis, Curitiba! Brazil is truly an amazing, beautiful and diverse country!

Someone neeeds to take you to try (in my opinion the best brazilian food) the Northeastern food, it is from the brazilian states Bahia, Ceará, Pernambuco, etc. Is so rich, has sea fish, seafood, etc. You have to taste "Baião de 2", "Feijão Tropeiro", " paçoca" (farofa with meat), "acarajé", "Moqueca" (fish).

You should try Moqueca if you get the chance, it's common on northeast (nordeste) and I'm sure it's available in Rio too, easily one of my favorite foods in Brazil
Yes, I came here to say the same thing! Try a moqueca, it’s really awesome and a very Brazilian dish! You just need to go to a good restaurant though, I find that seafood dishes are easy to screw up, you need to try it at a good restaurant. I actually know a really seafood place in a nearby city up the mountains called Teresópolis, but I doubt that George will go that far! The name of the place is Caldo de Piranha, and you can have Piranha soup there!

Vatapá is a north/northeastern food. Its very popular in Bahia, and its used in Acarajé, one of the most famous Bahian dishes... But whatever you do DONT TAKE BAHIAN PEPPER LIGHTLY! Their cuisine is one of the hottest in Brasil!
If you cant come to northeast, at leats try one of our dishes =D I would love to see your reaction to a nice tapioca with coalho cheese and bottled butter! (the invitation stands, if you ever wanna come to João Pessoa, I´de be happy to show you around! =DDDD)
Oh, one more thing: Farofa is a VERY personal dish in Brazil... Every grandma have her own special recipe. It can me bade with manioc flour, corn flour, cassava flour, banana, bacon, raisins, carrots, onions... Almost anything... You can buy industrialized farofa in the supermarket, and some of them are pretty good... But everyone´s always feels that their grandma´s farofa is the best! =D

Amazing! I love "Irmão do Jorel", it was such a great show, "Historietas Assombradas" as well, I never understood why Historietas ended because it was the most successful brazilian original animation back then and there was so much themes to expand story. You're lucky, George!

Actually that museum does not have a permanent exhibition, so you might see different stuff when you go there next time. Right now they are hosting OSGEMEOS, which is what you've seen in the video.

My favorite Brazil's food is Maniçoba. Because Im from Amazon, and the food there are the best. Everybody from there knows that the Chili souce are pretty strong LOL I was antecipatede suffering for you LOL Blaus' is a famous Ice cream shop in Belém Pará, but the BEST one is Cairu, wich was considered the best Ice cream shop from Brazil 3 times. Cupuaçu is a Amazon fruit and it is from the same Cacau family.

In the northeast there is a lot of marine wealth, including lobsters, crabs, several species of shrimp, molluscs and many species of fish. There are seafood dishes all over Brazil, but in the northeast it is much more present

George - It's Christmas Eve and I thought I'd write a short note as you're in South America still (I think), that you'll be surrounded no doubt with many 'Merry Christmas" "Felize Navidad" signs etc. I'm not religious at all (common in Japan I hear) but for one day in the year to wish peace, love and happiness to others regardless of religion or not, I'd like to wish you a very 'Merry Christmas" 'Felise Navidad" while you are surrounded by Christianity down there. The açai is a mix of açai (very bitter) and guarana syrup (to sweeten), and sometimes the people put a lot of guarana syrup and the taste is very sweet. I was disappointed that you didn't like cupuaçu juice (maybe too much sugar...), it's one of my favorites. You have to try the graviola juice (no sugar, please)

The cupuaçu juice should be more diluted, in order to be less sour and super refreshing. We (S. Paulo) shake it with cold tea. The dry cupuaçu goes pretty well with chocolate (ex. small pieces in 50-70% cocoa bars)...

Hey George. It's a pity that you can't go (this time) to northeast. It's known as brazilian caribe beaches. The sea water is so clear and warm, totally different from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro that looked like water taken from the refrigerator. I'm not saying bad about SP and Rio, just northeast is another thing. There's a hotel in Praia dos Carneiros PE above a mountain with sea view, close to the beach. It's heaven on earth.

Just found you and watched all your videos in Brazil. Great job! Still, there are much more to try! If you ever come to São Paulo again, feel free to get in touch! Even the Brazilian pizza is different from the US and Italy. There are still many Japanese (Izakayas, Lamen, Sushi) and Brazilian restaurants to try just in São Paulo.
