    • @jimkirby9959
      @jimkirby9959 3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Uma grande parte da arquitetura alemã foi destruida na WWII, e Blumenau, Joinville, Canela, e Gramado representam um Alemã congelada nos tempos passados. Além disso, Blumenau, Joinville, Pomerode e Santa Cruz do Sul tem Oktoberfest varias vezes por ano.

    • @matheusandrades6845
      @matheusandrades6845 3 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Bom também acho que pelo tempo limitado não deveria ser prioridade, mas essa arquitetura alemã também faz parte da nossa cultura e eles poderiam ver isso. Mas por essa sua lógica não faria sentido eles irem para lugares como liberdade, Paraty, Salvador ou Ouro preto (lugares onde a arquitetura é destaque), seria bem mais fácil irem ao Japão ou Portugal.

    My list of the top places to visit will be ( i’ll put in a clock wise sequence, related to the Brazil map, beginning in Rio):
    1- Salvador and the beaches in the south of the Bahia state, Morro de São Paulo, Itacaré, Arraial d’Ajuda (all together, the best beaches of Brazil);
    2- Ouro Preto and the surrounding city’s. Those cities are historic, from the period were Brazil was o colony of Portugal, and Portugal extract tons of gold from Brazil. A very different landscape and the “mineiros” (people from the state of Minas Gerais) are amazingly gentle and receptive;
    3- Jericoacoara. A beach at the Ceará state. A very north state, this beach is gorgeous and the landscape is very different. The small city has a very good vibe;
    4- Lençóis Maranhenses. A very beautiful place with lagoons surrounding by “dunas” (sand mountains? I don’t know how to say this in English);
    5- Manaus. The city in the middle of the Amazon jungle, from where you can get a lot of tours;
    6- Bonito. A small city in the middle of Pantanal, a region that is flooded in some seasons of the year. Very different animals and vegetation to see. This city in particular has beautiful river’s were you can dive and see a lot of fish’s;
    7- Foz do Iguaçu waterfalls. A beautiful sequence of waterfalls, if it’s not the largest of the world, must be one of them;
    8- Gramados. A very charming city in the south of Brazil. A very different place and cities from what you’ll have see, until this point. The “Gauchos” (people from the state of Rio Grande do Sul) has a very particular culture and like to cultivate theirs traditions. Very kindly people;
    That is my list. Hope this helps 😉!!! I wish you have an excellent trip around Brazil!!!

    Ouro Preto, São João del Rei, Tiradentes, and Capitólio are all must see spots in Minas. If you like Paraty, you’ll love the first three cities and Capitólio is amazing for wild landscapes. If you’re gonna be in Salvador, I recommend going out to Chapada Diamantina for the best canyon views in South America. You could also head a little south in Bahia for beautiful beaches in the island of Boipeba like Praia da Cueira, famous for palm trees lining the sand.

    In my opinion, it would have been better if you went first to the state of Minas Gerais which is close to Rio and you could go by bus. The historic cities, such as Ouro Preto, Tiradentes, etc. are fantastic and it is a pity not to visit them. If you leave Brazil without visiting Florianópolis, Camboriú, Foz do Iguaçu, Gramado and Joinville you will miss a great chance. There is an American named Aubry Coop who recently moved to Brazil, who is visiting a lot of these places.

I see you erased the video about safety. I saw the backlash in the comments, so I understand you wanted to save your new-found Brazilian audience. I just want you to know that you didn't do anything wrong. You said yourselves that it was only your personal perception, not an in-depth investigation, and you gave some very useful common-sense tips. I'm sorry some people don't understand that.
    I'm a tour guide, I speak Portuguese and I had hundreds of Brazilian clients. Most of them will tell you you shouldn't wear any jewelry or use your phone in public. That is not a minority view.

    - Salvador
    - Natal
    - Jeriquacara
    - Lencois Maranhences
    - Manaus /Amazon
    - Brasilia
    - Bonito and Pantanal (its my favorit)
    - Ouro Preto
    - Foz do Iguaçu (Iguassu falls)
    - Florianopolis/Balneareo Cambiriu
    I would also look for some experience in the Rio Grande do Sul outback with its cowboys (pampas gauchos). It's amazing the culture in the border between the former Spanish and Portuguese empires, a no man land in the past)

    I haven't seen you trying a brazilian buffet, it's very popular everywhere here in Brazil, specialy at lunch time, it's usually called "comida por quilo" and there's a lot of variety of food for you to try and it's cheap, also "churrascaria rodízio" style barbecue is a must.

    Congratulations beautifully couple...you've been so kind on your comments about Brazil and the people here. I would suggest you to visit Ouro Preto in Minas Gerais. Gorgeous historic city from the 17th century. The first capital of the Brazil when a colony of Portugal. It is a world heritage site by UNESCO. I'm sure you will enjoy. Lots of European tourists there. I would suggest Brasilia and Foz do Iguaçu to see one of the biggest the waterfall in the world.

    As a fellow American I highly recommend Iguaçu Falls! Do it at the end of your 90day visa and take a taxi (if border is open by then) to Argentina..you dont need a visa there,, you will be automatically renewed to stay in Brazil another 90 Days. I highly recommend Floripa, Gramado, and Canela! I also recomend if you have time Chapada Dos Guimarães, the Pantenal and Nobres....with the crystal clear pool waters in the jungle.

    You can extend your visa for another 90 days with a trip to the Polícia Federal. For one of the nicest experiences in Brazil, head for Jericoacoara, a unique and relaxed place full of young gringos, sand dunes and oases with fresh-water lakes. You need to hire a jeep to take you around to all the places. Genipabu is unique, with huge sand dunes as well. Another popular spot is Canoa Quebrada. I second the suggestion of Porto de Galinhas. Hire a sailboat and also see if you can arrange to cross one of the many river outlets in a Jangada. Also try to spend some time walking the nature-reserve beaches and a couple of days in the water-sports paradise of Maragogi in Alagoas. Morro de São Paulo, também.
