I made these Burgers last night and they were amazing. I didn't want to use breadcrumb, so I used 60g of coconut flour (you won't taste the coconut). They were delicious. I really liked the hummus on top of it. Thank you for the amazing recipe! :)
Thanks for posting this. I made it today. I went 3 ways with is as i started forming the burgers, they would not hold properly so after forming 2 I added one egg to the mix. I had a wee bit leftover which I fried in a pan and they came out the best. Super crunchy! The oven variant with the egg hold the shape well while the origingal one was crumbly. Both were tasty. I reccommend the added egg and if baked in oven, to turn half way as only the lower side seems to get crunchy. LOVE the taste of this!!
Tried them but changed walnuts for almonds and added crispy fried garlic crushed on top of the houmous with some lemon zest and juice on top!! Taste is amazing, highly reccomend! Must try 🔥
No one said this recipe was vegan. The Happy Pear don't call themselves vegan. The person above use who made it didn't say they were vegan. If you want to make it with vegan cheddar and feta go ahead, I'm sure it will be lovely.
I usualy don't leave comments BUT now I have to! Just made them! These burgers are probably the best ones I've ever had and I am a meat lover! OMG, they are delicious! The combination with hummus, aaaahhhhh :D I am not a huge fan of walnuts except for baking but in these burgers they are perfect fit together with feta a beetroots, yuuuuummyyyy :D Otherwise I love your videos on your channel and made quite a few of your recipes, mostly the sweet ones and they all are delish and helps me to keep my weight down :-) Keep going, you are awesome! Thank you!
I saw the recipe two days ago and I kept dreaming about it😅 I tried it today and wow it was amaaaazing and I don't even like beetroots this much ..Thanks guys
Ooohhooo.... Your cooking style is always filled with so much of enthusiasm. So much of inspiration to better and healthy cooking :) Totally love your recipes. And again thank you for sharing the happiness :)
Such a lovely recipe! As they would say: Beautiful! Gonna try this, Feta is one of my all-time-favourites. Allthough it's not vegan, as some ppl in the comments already said. But I mean if you replace the cheese it's a perfectly vegan recipe!
+Gekidokami nice but that still doesn't justify misuse of word, there is special word for that kind of stuff, vegetarian. But at least they did put "feta" in title so noone should be surprised.
Always thought beets tasted nice but really fell in love with them last night! I asked my mom if she could cook some vegetables for me because I wasn't going to be home from work until late, and she cooked some carrots and beets for me. I didn't eat them all because I had a few other things on my plate that didn't need to be cooked, but I did have a nice helping of the veggies that she made, including a big hunk of the beet. I took one bite and I had a foodgasm!
I just tried this recipe, it tastes better compare to other vegetarian patties (Hungry J*ck, Subw*y) that I tried before, but nothing extra ordinary (it does not taste like meat) to be honest. It is just a decent vegetarian burger patty. I added a large egg to keep them together. I also think that it is better to finely ground the walnuts to omit the nut texture in the middle of the patty.
I found their chanel from their previous video on fooodtube and I 'm obsessed with the happy pear chanel !! I have already made some recipes and they are perfect !! Love these guys :D
Violife makes vegan feta and vegan parmesan in a shaker has been around awhilen (Go Veggie brand). These are delicious but keep an eye if baking, maybe use 385 instead of 400 degrees or less time. I found they burned at the recommended time and temp. Also they say to add egg (or egg sub) if needed vs. more breadcrumbs. I used chia "egg" but they were still a tad crumbly. The recipe is in their yellow cookbook.
Thanks, a delicious recipe! I have noticed though that your quantities are sometimes off. It worked out well this time (I just got 18 burgers instead of 6 haha) and sometimes texture turns out different while following your quantities... Nevertheless the taste is fantastic!
They talked about this in a Q&A about how they see vegan as a guideline but eat for happiness, this seems to be cutting it much more than usual though.
+GlennWillsee oh my god. this recipe has been tainted with an animal ingredient. ! the mere fact they did it has caused far too much Karma, and not even omitting it will bring nobility back to the poor sheep, cows that made that fetta.
It is misleading to call these vegan as dairy is generally the hardest thing to give up. I am dairy free so I would use a nut cheese substitute but otherwise these look delicious!
If you're making this because you don't eat meat definitely do NOT use parmesan as it contains calf rennet! A lot of veggies do not know this and it is usually labelled vegetarian but isn't.
What a man says the guy - about a perfect copy of HIMSELF!!! LOL - Just sayin'... ;D Those vurgers look soooo yummy - too bad I just cooked a huge pile of beets and put them in the freezer, except for a few that are part of a big seitan roast being steamed in my Instant Pot right now - yum!!! :) Think I will have to buy a few more...
+inhuy1 LOL you low carbers need carbs. your brain aint working mate. Jeez. theres like 20G MAX in each burger cause of the beets. calm your mammary glands man
inhuy1 no way almond meal is really bad for the human race. it attracts aliens to our planet. if you eat this bad things will happen, and all almond meal eaters will be quarantined. Until a more suitable food pyramid can be remade.
Sorry to be that awful pedantic person, but feta and the other milk cheeses used here obviously aren't vegan so the recipe is vegetarian, not vegan. This could easily be vegan though, there are some really good nut cheeses out there. :-)
+Leon Debus There are some cheeses which are always made using animal rennet, for example, Parmesan (Parmigiano Reggiano). In order to be called ‘Parmesan’ this has to be produced according to traditional methods which use calf rennet. The regulations for its production state the following ingredients; cows milk, salt and calf rennet. The milk comes from cows reared in the defined geographical area and the use of the term parmesan as a product description is limited by European Union labelling law to being region specific. Other cheeses which are always made using animal rennet include Grana Padano and Gorgonzola.
when you have gardenfresh veggies yes dont peel, but when you buy and you cant be sure how they were cultivated you MUST peel else you get all that evil shit...
I think I did something wrong. Maybe I had bad mint, or beets... and I think I should have cooked it longer or something; but this was horrid. The mint in it nearly made me hurl. Glad I made only 2 of them lol. I Googled some other recipes and everyone says they are great! I wonder what I did wrong. :-( And no, I'm not a vegetarian.
I’m not trying to be negative or anything, just leaving an honest review- I really did not like this recipe. The feta and beet together was just really overpowering. The texture was mushy as well.
Not trying to be pedantic, but aware that I am, you guys have a very misleading pratice to call everything vegan. I can clearly see that you are trying to hit both the vegetarian and vegan market share, but it is just wrong to write in the description box the recipe is vegan, when it has dairy in it. i also saw one past Q&A where you repeat over and over again you are vegan, when you are not. Look, there is nothing wrong if you are not (I am a vegetarian myself), but you either do not really understand what veganism is or you are trying to get vegan viewers using not so honest wording. Hope you have a great weekend.
I’ve been making it for about 2 years and I love it!! My husband loves it and everybody who eats, loves it too.
Well done and thanks guys!
Yay! We love the Happy Pear guys, they are great fun!
And these look AMAZING!
I love their energy!! Great video btw.

This is so delicious! We loved it ! And is not dry !!!

I am OBSESSED with these burgers. I'm making a double batch for noms this week.

@@erikadorogi1820No I used normal feta and cheddar when I made them!

Thanks, a delicious recipe! I have noticed though that your quantities are sometimes off. It worked out well this time (I just got 18 burgers instead of 6 haha) and sometimes texture turns out different while following your quantities... Nevertheless the taste is fantastic!
it is really very cool for vegetrian people
i just wanna ask you can we shallow fry the burger??
Vegan.. Feta.. Cheddar.
I'm confused.
They talked about this in a Q&A about how they see vegan as a guideline but eat for happiness, this seems to be cutting it much more than usual though.
+GlennWillsee The never said it was vegan.
+JustOneAsbesto It's in the description.
+GlennWillsee Oh, I see. Carry on then.
+GlennWillsee oh my god. this recipe has been tainted with an animal ingredient. !
the mere fact they did it has caused far too much Karma, and not even omitting it will bring nobility back to the poor sheep, cows that made that fetta.
Is there something I could substitute the walnut with? I'm allergic to it...
I hope it tastes good
Any nut free alternative to walnuts?
Hi guys, can we pan toast them instead of baking in an oven?
Hipster's shit with mint
It is misleading to call these vegan as dairy is generally the hardest thing to give up. I am dairy free so I would use a nut cheese substitute but otherwise these look delicious!
+Lisa Dick and who said that this is vegan?
+Luniii737 The description. Its almost as if nobody ever reads that stuff.

F... that hurts badly...
wow
If you're making this because you don't eat meat definitely do NOT use parmesan as it contains calf rennet! A lot of veggies do not know this and it is usually labelled vegetarian but isn't.
can you use oats instead of bread crumbs?
I’m allergic to most nuts, could I add peanut butter stead, or leave it out completely pls?
I went ahead and tried and it was a success!
can i also use cooked beetroot ?
Nice 👍🍔🍔🍔
What a man says the guy - about a perfect copy of HIMSELF!!! where do you get a bacon tray?
Is there a substitute for the breadcrumbs? For a lower carb version
+inhuy1 LOL you low carbers need carbs. your brain aint working mate. Jeez. theres like 20G MAX in each burger cause of the beets. calm your mammary glands man
+jack black Nope. The answer is almond meal
inhuy1 no way almond meal is really bad for the human race. it attracts aliens to our planet. if you eat this bad things will happen, and all almond meal eaters will be quarantined. Until a more suitable food pyramid can be remade.
Yeah it better.
I ship them.
Can I freeze them?
so cute boys :)))
I just saw some guys that look just like you two on "The Rider" here on TH-cam. lol
Sorry to be that awful pedantic person, but feta and the other milk cheeses used here obviously aren't vegan so the recipe is vegetarian, not vegan. This could easily be vegan though, there are some really good nut cheeses out there. :-)
+Pixel Ritual And if you use parmesan as they suggested for alternative, it's not even vegetarian, actually.
+Violka1987 Why not?
+Leon Debus There are some cheeses which are always made using animal rennet, for example, Parmesan (Parmigiano Reggiano). Yes, very true! I never buy cheese (just vegan alternatives), so I always forget that some of them aren't even vegetarian.
tasty
+captain gutpunch yummy

when you have gardenfresh veggies yes dont peel, but when you buy and you cant be sure how they were cultivated you MUST peel else you get all that evil shit...
Are you both a couple? Coz you both look sweet and cute with each other.
im struggling to decide if I want them to come home and cook for me or just read recipes out loud
Me too! ;)
Beetroot sandwich
I think I did something wrong. Maybe I had bad mint, or beets... and I think I should have cooked it longer or something; but this was horrid. The mint in it nearly made me hurl. Glad I made only 2 of them lol. I Googled some other recipes and everyone says they are great! I wonder what I did wrong. :-( And no, I'm not a vegetarian.
+Sheane Crane Maybe you just don't like mint? Put less in or leave it out :)
+Sheane Crane I made them tonight and they weren't very nice either :(
Yeah, I guess I just don't have the taste for it. I'll try it again later without the mint.
😜
why do you guys look so red? lol, it is just funny that you all look so red and are also making beet burgers
and the meat? where is the MEAT????.... mmmm

BUT IT'S NOT VEGAN!!! JUST CALL IT VEGETARIAN, WHICH IS WHAT IT IS
