Today, we go through how we painted our Apceros themed Bastiladon for our Age of Sigmar Seraphon army. We hope you enjoy!

I yearn to tickle the tum-tum of an aztec ankylosaurid.
He looks great Connor, keep it up! Underrated because it's not the model's focus, but you've nailed the scales on the belly and legs, looks very crocodilian.
Tickling tum tums ain’t easy, but it’s honest work.

Looks really great. Love the idea of Monster Hunter inspired lizardman army! Combines two passions into one.

The sponge technique and accidental blending with the lighter coulours to give a varied look to the shell is ace! Definitely one to keep in mind to get the natural look to bigger areas on monster models

Yeah man that sponging came out great! I'm looking to add Apceros to my 40k MonHun Exodites, although I'm not quite sure what I'll use them for (maybe Heavy Weapons platforms for Guardian squads.) It came out great for you so I'll probably copy your paint scheme for mine 😁
Thank you! You could stick a massive gun on the back of it and use it as a Fire Prism (if you were to use the AoS Bastiladon kit)
@@thehobbyheap The Apceros feels like a weird middle ground to me. Too physically big to be used as small miniatures but not big enough in the food chain to choose over bigger monsters like Diablos. I'll figure something out lol

Thanks for the video! I painted my Bastiladon following your tutorial and it looks great. I have one suggestion for future tutorials, though: could you display on screen which paints you're using for the whole step you're using them or alternatively post the list of the paints used in the comments or description? That way it's easier to make a list of all the paints to buy to replicate your scheme (or find alternatives that you already own perhaps).
Anyway, just a small suggestion. Great job so far and I'm excited to see what you do next.

Love this! I was just thinking about doing something like this with my new seraphon stuff coming up! Got any more monsters in mind? I was thinking about painting my slann like a tetsucabra!
Tetaucabra Slann would be amazing! I was thinking of doing mine as the Chad Paratoad 💪
But with the Raptordons I was thinking bird wyverns of some description. Aggradons are gonna have to be Dromes!
Monster Hunter x Seraphon? Oh HELL yes.
How about a challenge? Make a colorful Seraphon/Lizardmen...or a classic forest Green one.
If they bring back Lizardmen for Warhammer: The Old World, it would be rude not to make an army with square goblin green bases!

@@TwistedAlphonso1 Sorry, my bad! I haven’t decided how I’m going to paint my Saurus Warriors yet, so some old school forest green ones could be a great shout!
If I may, I would like to suggest you reconsider the gold parts.
I know gold is pretty much a staple with seraphons, but on warm color schemes it really doesn't do much, it lacks contrast.
Especially on the tigrex carnosaur, the gold basically disappears in the yellow/orangy scales.
Maybe try a cold color metal, like a silver or a made up one, like a jade green.
This is a great suggestion, thank you! I was trying to keep it cohesive with the rest of my army but you’re totally correct, the gold can get lost very easily. I’ll have a think for my next paint scheme. Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback!
I think it would be really cool if you painted the new raptadons models just like the great maccao or other raptors.
