A thin wash over the red/blue triangles will help blend it into the weathered look of the throne.

For a really cool “old” gold effect after you wash with a brown do a second wash with purple.

Awesome tutorial! Thank you! I just bought my first airbrush. How is it that you're using base paint in the airbrush? Do you put thinner in with it?

yes if you use thinner you can use pretty much any paint you want through the airbrush! I add enough to make it the consistency of milk if that makes sense

just the standard Vallejo gray. it actually comes out pretty white but its not as blindingly white as normal white primer. (alt account)

hey there! celstra grey is the closest equivalent I can see and will work just fine! if you don't have it you can make your own. its a really simple gray. just white with a little black. its not like ulthuian or some other citidel grey that has a very slight color tint which makes it difficult to replicate :) just a regular old grey with a lot more white than black. happy painting!

you can do everything in this video without an airbrush. the airbrush is only used to do the base coat since it saves a lot of time. but if you know how to base with a brush your solid. only thing thats a little wierd would be the wash and glaze through the airbrush for the transition but you can do that part with a brush too! just use some lahmian media to thin it down since its a really subtle effect
