Why did you disconnect the battery first ? I’m currently trying to do this but can I do it without disconnecting the battery

You don't have too disconnect the battery. It just the car sitting long time at the shop, waiting for the parts come in and the brake light bulb getting hot so I decided to disconnect the battery

You can do it yourself, is not that hard if you talking about replacing the rubber bushing
