Just a tip, in regards to the brightness you can actually increase the brightness in the settings on the watch. It usually defaults to about halfway to its brightest.

Great review. One correction. Alarms can be set up on the device, but yes, it's heavily dependent on the phone for a lot of things. Been using it for the past few weeks. Love it, especially considering its price and battery life. Happy with the trade offs.

@@EMKWANREVIEWS Ah yes, I'm new around here. :) The battery life is fantastic. I believe a fitness tracker should have a great battery life because it shouldn't die on you in the middle of your workout. That's demotivating, to lose your log when you put in effort. Fitbit has always been great in that department. I understand that they advertise the Versa as a smartwatch, but i believe it's a fitness tracker first. Just upgraded from the Charge 2. Even though the hardware may not justify the price tag (i can get a Samsung Active for the same price and Amazfit GTS at half the price here in India), i think the app more than makes up for it. Thoughts?
Dhiren Punjabi totally agree with you. It’s one of the big issues with most smartwatches today. You expect battery life to last beyond a workout. Great to have you on the channel. Lots of subscribers from India. Do hit subscribe if you haven’t already. 🙏🏽

It is a great watch! That will last one year if you are lucky. I had the original versa and it wouldn’t sink and I got the two and now my battery dies in a few hours... and I got it six months ago! I would love to see a long-term review. Other than the issues I experienced you are right and good video.
umm you might wanna call customer service. the battery usually lasts up to 2-3 days..
@@hibye-pi9zw I did they told me it was shot for some reason and they sent me another one for free. After I bought a Garmin the versa came in and I haven’t worn my Garmin forever.
Question, which Fitbit do you like the best? I'm wondering which one to buy and there are a ton of different options. If you were to rank them, which one would you place first?
If the charge 4 could play music it would be the goat.

Very nice review. I had purchased one for my wife last month and could not get the weather function to work. Plus there was issues with the watch that forced me to return it. I've used Fitbit for many years now, and there software system is by far better than others. Having to go to the app to make changes, that's not a big deal, after all, it's more of a fitness watch than a smartwatch. Right now I have the Ionic. It's a dinosaur, so I wish Fitbit would come out with a new release instead of staying with a watch that is getting left behind by the competition. I tried the Huawei Watch GT2. Fantastic watch, but a poor health app. There are some beautiful looking smartwatches out there, including the Huawei one that I mentioned, and Galaxy watch to name a few. So, come on Fitbit get moving with something that looks classic in a watch, instead of a clunky looking brick. After all, you have the very best fitness software out there, so pick things up with some better watches. Apple? I don't want to go there. Far too many stupid apps and not one fitness app that incorporates all fitness needs. Battery? That is a bloody joke, considering their superb engineering team that can't come up with a decent battery. More like Rotten Apple, to me.
I fell in love with the Fitbit versa 2 and Amazon has it on sale at only $129 plus shipping so I might give it a try for sure!!! I like the wine color lol ❤️
Fitbit honestly… has lost it’s shine! Wouldn’t recommend in 2022 now. Many better options out there.

For monitoring diabetes, I use Freestyle Libre sensor with BluCon NightRider and able to get glucose values on my watch without the phone and without scanning the sensor.

My Fitbit versa is not working , they are providing the same product or 50% off on new. Do you think its valuable to purchase new with extra amount. Or just get a replacement?
Comparing with Huawaei GT 2, Versa 2 has a very slow music transfer connection as well as bluetooth connection is short range and slow. the charger base is not stable to site on the table. It has a complicated configuration, no speaker nor time alarm sound
What is your recommendation for the best overall smart watch?
Lynn it depends on your case use. I currently have the Fitbit charge 4 I’m reviewing so bringing that review soon. But since this video I’ve used the Apple Watch a lot more. It’s incredibly more in functionality but has some trade offs like battery life and poor sleep monitoring. Having said that it’s a device that will last a lot longer than any Fitbit I’ve owned that typically has a product life of max 12 -18 months. Now that's it been a while can you confirm if this is more reliable than the Charge 3? I'm very disapointed in this tracker, it tracks all sorts of stairs climbed that I'm not doing myself - I'm not the only one, and Fitbit refuses to patch the problem. I'm considering a new tracker and wondering if I can even trust Fitbit at this point.
Aren’t the stairs tracker also tracking your elevation ?
The back button breaks easily, mine did. Good thing Fitbit will replace your watch no questions asked if it’s still under warranty.
How about swapping wristbands particularly the silicon straps. Have spent over two hours with still no success popping out the nylon strap and putting in a silicon strap. Very disappointed; I’ve also taken this into a couple watch repair shops and they too could not do it as well.

I saw you say you wouldn’t reccomend it anymore- what else would you recommend? The versa 2 is £99/$118 so I’m tempted. Maybe a Charge 5 instead?
None of them. An Apple Watch.
Mine refuses to sync with my phone. At this point, I would happily pay an extra 100 bucks on one of the other fitness trackers if they are more reliable with syncing. That's a BIG part of why I wanted the Versa in the first place. I literally have to unpair and set up my watch every single time for it to show any data on my phone/desktop and even then it only syncs in that singular moment and not a second further.
Macktastic7 That’s unfortunate. Reach out to fitbits support to see if they can help. I made this review a while ago and I’ve noticed the quality of software has reduced greatly over the last few weeks and months. I no longer use mine and have an Apple Watch for health tracking.

What's a good accurate fitness watch that's really cheap, Under 100$ preferably. The main function I need is heart rate monitor for cardio sessions.
You can get a Versa 2 on Ebay in good condition for under $100. (that's where I got mine, for $80 -- and there were like half a dozen good ones around that price range when I looked)

Why no one talks about the fact that we can use some apps on Fitbit only by buying the premium
A major different point for some users, Fitbit does not support all languages. In my case, Arabic is not support. My wife using it, and she is very frustrated as most of her notifications are not readable. Fitbit announced there is no Arabic support planned in any release yet.
OMG! that's something I didn't even realise and I'm hearing from more and more people now. Fair point. Hopefully Google now that they have bought Fitbit can include in someway multiple language support.

Keeping time is dependent on your phone. If it loses connectivity for more than a few hrs...the time will be wrong.

What about the fact that Swimming tracking was completely downgraded from the Versa1? The 2 doesn't show anything but time when you swim, completely useless for swimmers. That's something I'd expect in an honest review. Also, I can't get more than 2 days of battery with my versa2. I was completely in love with my V1, and truly disappointed with the V2. The auto wake up screen doesn't work either (9 out of 10 times it does not work) what forces you to use the always on display. But even without the always on display, I can't get more than 3 days. It's the last fitbit product I'll buy. Now, that's an honest review.

I got one and found out that the heart beat sensor won’t work when the sensor is on my blacked out sleeve .. it only works on non tattooed skin: no one talks about this problem haha

My wife and I each purchased the Fitbit Versa awhile ago when they first became available. I didn't use mine right away. When I went to use it about a year later it would not work. Being a big Fitbit Fan, I went and bought another Fitbit Versa II. A little while later, after out of warranty , my wife's stopped working. (would not sync with phone). I noticed that the Versa II had a different charger?? After my Versa II was was out of warranty it stopped syncing also. Now I have three non working Versa's and two chargers and many bands. I was so disgusted that I am also done with Fitb. I sold my last 3000 shares of stock at a loss.

Nimishraj Panse In Bluetooth connections you can pair speakers or headphones but You can’t disconnect from the phone altogether

It is included. Clips in a charger. Easy peezy.
You can absolutely change the clock faces and set alarms from within the watch

Matteo Codenotti I haven’t had any experience with the Amazefit. Though Fitbit offer some incredible features for the price.
WARNING: Avoid Fitbit at all costs. They claim the batter last for 6 days. I have had my Versa 2 for almost two years. The battery only lasts for 1.5 days at most. What Fitbit neglect to tell you is that if you use any of it's features, the battery will run low very quickly. As of August 2021, Fitbit have updated the app on Google Play store without notifying customers, rendering the watch as useless as any phone or tablet over a year old is now non-compatible.
