Yeah. I was like.. wait, is she really Korean? Are they OK with this much exposure? Lol. I just couldn't grasp it. I'm jealous of byungeun to be able to hold her hips too. I think I might be able to do that shimmering if I know how she moves. 🤣🤣

You’d be surprised with how many Korean men are ok with skin. A lot of them are actually not that different from American men. And yes this is from my experiences of being friends with Korean men. Times have changed their a lot with the younger generation, not so much the old.
As an arab its sooo entertaining to watch people from other nations to participate in traditional belly dancing and the music and whistling in the backround really brought out memories

Belly dance originated in Egypt and then spread throughout the Arab countries, and as an Egyptian, IM SO PROUD LMAOO. Even though this dance is common where I live, it feels so new and refreshing when I see people from other countries perform or take part in it! Also, can we all agree that Beungeun is pure GOLD?

I liked Seungwoo’s dancing the most. He had the best isolation of movement of the 3 of them. His shimmy was smaller than Heejae but more precise. And his upper body shoulder and arms were exceptionally good. The belly dancer shown them only one basic type move, that was the hip lift. To do it correctly is not as simple as it seems.
Ikr, he has some good basics for a good shimmy. His snake-arms were pretty good too even if they were a little fast

As a middle easterner I have to say they really did surprisingly well for people who haven't ever tried it before! Good job guys! Good flexibility, good isolation skills and good gentle moves for beginners!
Belly dancing was popularized by the golden age of cinema in Egypt 40’s - 80’s. It is originally a gypsy tradition, not Arab.

In my opinion, Seungwoo was the best, because he isolated every movement, so when he moved his hips shaking them he didn't shake his shoulders or arms (and even did the right way, even though the bellydancer didn't teach them) and when he did the hip accent he kept his body still and only moved the hips. Really awesome 👍🏼
Im so happy that shes shaped the way a traditional belly dancer is. There is supposed to be a belly to shake ❤️❤️❤️ most Korean belly dancers I've seen have been really skinny, and theres nothing wrong with that, but its truly not necessary. You dont need to have abs if you wanna wear the outfit, which it seems like many people believe.
I always laugh a lot when suengwoo is on the show but I laughed a lot today because of byungeun totally funny😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ms. Kim Jiyoon was a great teacher, she was so patient with everyone and so gentle at pointing out mistakes.
she's a good teacher!! Even though she was teaching in Korean and the instructions are translated, it was easy to pick up. I tried learning in other channels, but i still move my shoulders. With her, I easily understood hip movement

Ah, this reminds me of when I was learning how to belly dance in college. It was so wonderful. Sadly, my health made me stiff so I couldn't do it anymore. I am enjoying seeing everybody having a blast though. So much fun, chaotic energy.

They did really well! Heejae got all of the moves quickly, Seungwoo was really good at the isolations and his hips really moved, it was well done, and ofc his arms were great, and Byungeun, despite it being his first time trying to learn dance in general especially belly dance, learned and corrected his mistakes quickly, even within this short video I could see him improving. This was really funny to watch lol

I just started learning belly dancing 2 months ago. It's really hard! But also really cool! We have a great teacher. She doesn't teach just the moves, but also the terminology, explains different styles in dancing and music (traditional and modern)...I think it's a great way to get your body fit and strong. It makes it work. I enjoy it very much! 😊💃

Growing up watching Classical Egyptian movies and all those Egyptian Divas like Sami Gamal Tahiya Karioka and more , I've never seen anyone of them doing that hair flip.. Not even modern day dancers like Ruby did them... Iraqi Choby dancers did though... And it's the highlight of the dances of Iraq and the gulf region too .... She's a great dancer but as usual, dancer from outside the region tend to mix a lot of things together offering us another episode of orientalism ...

Byungeun had been wearing layers and layers of clothes so far that seeing him as the thinnest and straight bodied male today felt strange. Definitely a model.

I believe you all have different views on this topic but I just don't understand if it is actually cultural appropriating since I don't know the history.
Ignore that person, they’re just trying to get attention. There is literally nothing wrong with learning a dance and listening to music from another culture. You don’t have to be of a certain blood to enjoy parts of their culture. Sharing culture is how we’ve always learned about each other and how are we supposed to be more open and tolerant towards different culture if we strike anyone down who has an interest in another culture?
