Prom isn't a graduation after-party. Prom happens in the spring before the end of the year. My high school had prom super early in March so that the photos would be ready to be printed in the year book. Graduation was the first week of May. Typically prom is only for high school seniors (and their dates, which have to meet certain age restrictions), but some larger schools will also throw a Junior Prom for third year students (as American high school is four years).
My high school in the Midwest did it in April (cause who doesn’t love a good misquote bite hahah) we had one prom that the juniors planned and put together for the Seniors. But both Senior and Juniors were allowed to go. I went Junior year only because I was on the planning committee. I wish other countries would at least have one dance where they could let loose before integrating into the “adult world.” Truly a fun last hurrah in high school.
@@Emily-zf5qh same for us, my high school’s prom this year was in April & it was mainly meant for juniors & seniors. It was also a committee & school arranged and themed event. It was so fancy lol

They should really keep in mind when commenting on these girls bodies that they are minors. They are considered children in the US, and the commenters are all adults, so its a little creepy to be sexualizing them even if they are wearing revealing clothing.
Right?! I thought I was the only one who got the notification for this video and, based on previous TikTok reaction videos, was like, "Oh... Oh no..." I support prom-culture simply for the fact that, for some young people, this might be the only chance they get to dress like this in their whole lives! From driving the fancy cars, picking out beautiful outfits, the extravagant "promposals," and dancing the night away amongst friends and classmates in a relatively safe environment ~ Even if it's a bit extreme, when it's done right, prom truly is a momentous event! Though, I'm quite sad about the lack of diversity in this video. Definitely could've shown some of the guys, a few "promposals" examples and a few more POCs wouldn't have hurt.
i liked the video but why do they keep bringing up these *HIGH SCHOOLERS* bodies like yeah they’ve grown and stuff but they’re still kids/young adults. there’s no reason for these men to be talking abt these young girls like that bro it’s weird.
I live in western US and here prom is a good month before graduation and finals and it's combined juniors and seniors. we also have winter formal, morp/hoopcoming, and homecoming dances
Where I live (not the Americas) we have something similar but it's called a formal, where everyone in the senior grades get dressed up and they have like a big dance party at a venue. You get your picture in the local paper and online as well - lots of fun.
To the people criticizing Beungeun and the lack of diversity in the video: First of all, Byungeun is male and Korean. So his reactions to the girls, their dresses, and busts, are based on culture shock. I'm sure the producers made the mistake of not telling Byungeun and the team about the age of these girls beforehand, so I'm sure Beungeun wasn't aware of the nature of his comments. But frankly, his reactions don't even come close to being borderline pedophilic like you snowflakes assume it to be. Imagine going to highschool in Korea and you see these videos of Western girls for the first time. Would you be able to tell whose under 18? Probably not. Third, these girls wanted to be seen on Tiktok. And now that people are reacting to their videos, y'all automatically assume that Byungeun and the team are objectifying them in a pedophilic way. Like bruh?? Also, why does every. single. thing. have to be inclusive? Jesus you guys are like twitter. The channel chooses a random compilation of prom videos that doesn't have one black person and everyone loses their minds. And I thought y'all social justice warriors would be satisfied by the two girls wearing the Hijab, or the several other Latinas in the video. But noo, it has to be "diverse." These people work hard to give us quality and funny content from a different side of the globe. And y'all are ruining it by shoving your woke agendas down their throats. Thankyou Hosung, Hyeni, and Byungeun for yet another awesome content. Please keep on making more awesome videos.
Yeah cultural shock and all of that stuff it dose make sense that they were shocked since they don’t know American teen culture stuff but are learning but it is seemed out of pocket that he called that one girls chest the weapon if she is a minor then it’s wrong. They could had told him if they were minors or tell all three of them but they probably guessed they’re 18
You are absolutely right. If it is on TIKTOK then it is for views! Reactions are a person's own. If Tiktok is allowing persons below 18yrs to post the videos, why shy away from reactions? I mean, it is like blaming the viewer for viewing and reacting to the content which is being posted solely for viewership. LOL
But they know they’re in high school which means they know their general age range… high schoolers are minors in korea too. And i doubt they’re that shocked to see girls looking like this, korea is not that conservative for this to be shocking.
During the premier of this channel I had to read all the subtitles and now I have moments I forget to read the subtitles but still understand. Korean studies are coming along! Love studying with you Awesome World! :)

I LOVE THIS!!! I had a blast at my prom (Class of 2007). Such great nostalgic memories. -Yes...its a night for everyone to show off and look their absolute best. -Yes...its a big deal for that age. (eventually it becomes some of the best and cringiest memories lol) -Most do rent nice cars and limos to get to prom in style. My prom was at the airport (dont ask...lmao)... so... we didnt need nice cars. We didnt see the parking lot from inside the airport so it didnt matter. My prom dates were my 2 best friends so my dad drove us but he acted like a chauffeur 😭😂 Such fun video/reaction! 💜
This is why every app has to have age restrictions (and some of them do) but these minors are still bypassing this by faking their ages and when someone older (who doesn't bother to check the poster's age) then he/she is automatically a pedo and will be condemned for the rest of their life for not knowing someone (who lied about their age) is a minor.
@@Gummeyy bruh you can tell almost all of the time if they are minors! Especially if they are out here attending prom! And if you realize later, cut ties and stop watching them. Its not that difficult

T-T in these videos I really hope they stop referencing Aladdin and Jasmine whenever they see middle eastern/Indian culture. Even though I know they mean well, it’s a bit naive that that’s all they can think of, especially since Disney movies aren’t always accurate.
In the states we have 2 proms in highschool... Junior year and Senior year ... always in the spring. There are also back to school dance, homecoming dance, winter formal and sweetheart dance (depending on your school).
i’ve seen many videos like this of non american people thinking prom is after graduation! maybe that’s a common misconception? prom is before graduation! any party after is a formal.
There are prom in many countries even small ones where I'm from I live in a small country called Trinidad and Can't wait for the next two years for prom I'll be making my own dress😊
We also have prom here in the Philippines, for junior, senior and sometime have both junior-senior or 'js prom' as we call it. Actually we have a lot of events, we have acquaintance parties for freshmens, Christmas Ball, Masquerade Ball and even Farewell parties for leavers.
Prom isn't a graduation party because it is an event both the junior and seniors (+ their dates that may need permission if they are not one of the students nor a student at all) can attend. It's usually held during March-April for most high schools and then graduation is in the beginning of June (or sometimes late May, depending on the HS). Many people enjoy prom because it's a night out with friends and they just get to have some fun before school is over. Some proms can be lame, and some can be much more fun. It really depends on how much money the school has too. It's usually the junior committee that hosts and plans the event - prom. Even at prom, we still have teachers who chaperone and watch the students during that night. They do not have to be there at prom the entire night. It's usually only for a few hours only, so many come early for an hour and leave for the rest of the night with their friends or gf/bf to do whatever they want or planned.

Let's leave racial/gender politics in America please...
@@Karma0211nah cuz what the fuck is this supposed to mean
@@Karma0211 tf they were just asking to see more diversity in the videos nobody was talking abt politics
1:26 the prom is before graduation ceremony. About a month before or so...
His comment(the guy on the right) " Her body is like a Coca Cola Bottle!" That was hilarious!
When he said grown well and fed well I literally started laughing, my friend glanced over and asked if I was okay. Some of the dresses were really cute though
It's not funny tho most of these girls are kids
A lot of prom tiktok is actually adults promoting the seasons prom dresses. And they do it every prom season. It's like 50/50.
I support prom-culture simply for the fact that, for some young people, this might be the only chance they get to dress like this in their whole lives!
I would have loved to see some prom-posals! At my school those were almost always more important than the actual prom.
“Do all the good you can, for all the people you can, in all the ways you can, as long as you can.”
i liked the video but why do they keep bringing up these *HIGH SCHOOLERS* bodies like yeah they’ve grown and stuff but they’re still kids/young adults. there’s no reason for these men to be talking abt these young girls like that bro it’s weird.
I live in western US and here prom is a good month before graduation and finals and it's combined juniors and seniors. we also have winter formal, morp/hoopcoming, and homecoming dances
Finally Hyeni is back
Miss this trio! Hope to see them together soon! So fab and fun! 🎉
At first I was confused by the plastic sheet, then the more they all desperately tried to get it out of the way the more I found myself laughing.
BYUNGEUN was so gud and handsome today 🥵🥵 but wait something happened to him (talking bout weapons, proposal, curves....my god)😂😂😂
All the members of Awesome World should do their own prom!!!
Where I live (not the Americas) we have something similar but it's called a formal, where everyone in the senior grades get dressed up and they have like a big dance party at a venue. You get your picture in the local paper and online as well - lots of fun.
Friendly reminder most of these people are minors or freshly 18!
And American men would be significantly raunchy in their reactions.
These 3 are very respectful.
@@LisaMT1218 the man on the right is not did you not hear the comments he was making on there bodies ?
@@AnushkaP123ikr!!
once the covid situation relaxes, you guys should recreate your own prom and film it... all cast and crew!!!!
To the people criticizing Beungeun and the lack of diversity in the video:
First of all, Byungeun is male and Korean.
LOL
Ugh ppl will complain abt anything they’re never satisfied
@Nanzee S. preach! ❤
Would be cool for them to recreate a prom 😂👍 like Hyeni trying on those big dresses and such things
They need to react to black prom dress 😩their dresses are out of this world
"Concealing that..weapon" 😂
I loved my prom. It was something to look forward to towards the end of senior year. I was not prom queen but I was in the prom court. So basically a runner up 😂
Am I the only one that kind of wasn’t comfortable with some of the comments that they made like it’s a prom meaning that they are in high school and these people are adults
I LOVE THIS!!! I had a blast at my prom (Class of 2007). Such great nostalgic memories.
-Yes...its a night for everyone to show off and look their absolute best.
-Yes...its a big deal for that age. (eventually it becomes some of the best and cringiest memories lol)
-Most do rent nice cars and limos to get to prom in style. My prom was at the airport (dont ask...lmao)... so... we didnt need nice cars. We didnt see the parking lot from inside the airport so it didnt matter. My prom dates were my 2 best friends so my dad drove us but he acted like a chauffeur 😭😂
Such fun video/reaction! 💜
3:41 she was concealing that weapon 🤣🤣🤣 lmao byungeun
kinda weird knowing that most of the girls in the videos are minors…
Right
This is why every app has to have age restrictions (and some of them do) but these minors are still bypassing this by faking their ages and when someone older (who doesn't bother to check the poster's age) then he/she is automatically a pedo and will be condemned for the rest of their life for not knowing someone (who lied about their age) is a minor.
@@Gummeyy bruh you can tell almost all of the time if they are minors! Especially if they are out here attending prom! And if you realize later, cut ties and stop watching them. Its not that difficult
@@letyv9071 again, minors SHOULD NOT be on these apps in the first. there’s a reason why it’s pg17 and up.
@Pragya. you took my words way literally. saying PG18+ is like mentioning sex stuff hence why i said PG17 and ‘UP’.
My friends and I got free tickets to a kpop concert that was the same weekend as prom and thought of doing an anti-prom thing, but we found out plane tickets and hotel for the weekend cost more than the prom tickets+dress+limo, so we just did prom instead 😅 luckily the Asian crowd was pretty big so no one was really an "outsider", that year prom queen was Filipina so it felt worth it.
Better make sure the FBI isn’t watching, prom usually means minors.
Hyeni is adorable i'm so glad to see her after so long - was so happy, had to write this before watching the clip 😊🖐
edited add on - ok now that watched the clip, all 3 funny and sweet - but Byugeun was "bring it" dude was all kinds of extra and in the most funny way. wonder why watching the guys in this (all of them to-date) kinda perving on hot females, comes off sweet and funny, not creepy hmmmm guess cause they all degrees of hot?!?😅😂😂😂🖐
Loved the reactions. Please do an Awesome World Prom! Would love to see them dress up in prom attire. :)
Byungeun was insanely acting cute and all out today😂😂😂😂 he seems a really nice person to hangout with to have a good laugh 💛
not so innocent itseems🤪 jokn
1:13 loved the mention of Canada. Always happy when Canada isn’t forgotten😂
.....not only is there a lack of diversity in the video but more importantly many of these girls are minors and should not be sexualized by adults regardless of what they are wearing. Saying they look pretty is one thing but talking about their bodies is not ok
you should even try videos of indian wedding dress/or any function dress videos reaction it well be fun byungeun, hajee, hoseung....❤❤❤
y’all need to be careful with the prom videos 😭😭 i’m pretty sure 1 or 2 of the girls were brits and prom happens at 15/16 years old for them.
prom also happens at ages 16-18 in the united states
5:55 What do hijabis have to do with Aladdin?? lmao. The characters were Arabs not necessarily Muslims.
THANK YOU THAT RLLY ANNOYED ME, they’re kinda ignorant tbh and it’s sad
we have a prom-like event in our country as well, but as someone that doesn't stand out that much it was a shame that not even one boy in our whole school asked me to go lol had to go with my bestie since she wasn't asked either, but at least she got to dance with some guys during the event :)
Omg literally every girl here is a queen 😍 u know I'm passing out high school this year and every other school is throwing farewell. But we're not even getting that. It's only exam schedules here
Watching this make me can't wait for my prom it's in July!
Also there is prom in the UK
" She was concealing her weapon " LOL 🤣
byungeun is genuinely enjoying this kind of contents.🤣
in my country we have junior and senior prom in high school and acquaintance party in college.😁
Our school has prom royalty but they can be 2 queens, 2 kings, or a queen and king. You should do one on prom themes. We have some really awesome prom themes. This year our school is doing the Roaring 20s as a theme.
Love from India❤
I think Hyeni is right. Maybe a prom king version with Hyeni, Hee Jae and Bobo 🤔
T-T in these videos I really hope they stop referencing Aladdin and Jasmine whenever they see middle eastern/Indian culture. Even though I know they mean well, it’s a bit naive that that’s all they can think of, especially since Disney movies aren’t always accurate.
Needed the diversity. Where the black women. Because they go crazy with the outfits
I was FAR from the "in crowd" but I went to prom with my best friend and my dress rocked! It was so much fun.
In the states we have 2 proms in highschool... Junior year and Senior year ... always in the spring. There are also back to school dance, homecoming dance, winter formal and sweetheart dance (depending on your school).
Byungeun was really funny this video, he's more on the innocent side but the way he was complimenting every girl😭😭
I love Awesome World these peoples are all gorgous and sweet and cute and naturally beautiful
It was like byungeun was filming watching thirst trap video while those two were just in sink watching prom dresses 😂😂
Do one with black prom dress!! They dress amazing
I love the way Byungeun remember what Heejae has said before. Its so sweet
i’ve seen many videos like this of non american people thinking prom is after graduation! maybe that’s a common misconception? prom is before graduation! any party after is a formal.
There are prom in many countries even small ones where I'm from I live in a small country called Trinidad and Can't wait for the next two years for prom I'll be making my own dress😊
I’ve never attended my prom. but please keep in mind all the girls in videos we’re underage.
We also have prom here in the Philippines, for junior, senior and sometime have both junior-senior or 'js prom' as we call it. Actually we have a lot of events, we have acquaintance parties for freshmens, Christmas Ball, Masquerade Ball and even Farewell parties for leavers.
Wow I’ve never been this early
Okay finally i understood at 2:16 they were talking about a kind of farewell : 👁️👄👁️
arent they like 16 🥴
17-18 is age for grade 12s in USA and Canada Ik
Only thing missing in this EP is heejae
I was definitely still 17 when I went to prom. They should be bit careful about the comments.
Their reactions look so genuine 😌👌
