I normally dislike dance groups and routines but these ladies and their choreographer are fantastic and deserved the gold buzzer. I look forward to seeing what they do next!
Dancers have put in really great effort and it's beautiful. But the first half of the set of moves is directly taken from a performance a Chinese kids groups. You can find it on TH-cam searching for "thousand hand dance" "avalokiteshvara dance " as key words. It's very old but choreography was copied to a large extent. Cultural appropriation doesn't feel that good.
This is my favorite dance. I have watched this dozens of times and I am still floored at the outstanding choreography. They're all stunning young ladies and so talented. And kudos definitely to their choreographer for allowing the world to show what amazing people they really are!
You CAN NOT describe the raw talent displayed by these women. Forget the politics, stereotypes and biases and just enjoy the perfection of the art. Loved every second of the performance.
I am Colombian, and proud that my country is the third in the world with the largest Lebanese community, although I am not Arab, proud that the Colombian Sofia Vergara has supported this great group, she recognizes talent. I had never seen a group that in a single presentation expressed so many beautiful things: beauty, creativity, femininity, power, talent, timing, pride, culture, sensuality, I would like to see them one day next to Shakira who is also Colombian, I love this group, it makes me want to be Arab, very beautiful that culture
Sofia said that she comes from part of Colombia that has a lot of Lebanese migrants and that she grew up eating Lebanese food and dancing to Lebanese music, so it feels like a 2nd home to her. It is the part of Colombia where Shakira comes from. I doubt that Colombian culture is that different from Lebanese..
Bye
This dance is kinda represent the pharaohs times. Even the clothes they wear represent that time. They know what they are doing and they did it in the way it should be.
@@Omar-gv1op Hello Omar It is good to read several comments. From my childhood until now, I am interested in the history of Egypt, Phoenicia/Lebanon and Hellas/Greece, where the world's first civilizations came from. The tyrant's of Mesopotamia waged wars of extension and robbery, they have nothing to do with our subject. Summarizing regarding these dances, we observe that the choreographer, like his ancestors the Phoenicians, mixed his dances with Egyptian, Indian and Chinese folklore (please check all performances). The music is a mixture of Egyptian and Lebanese melodies (tank you to the Lebanese compositor with Armenian background). The women were dressed in Egyptian fashion, another show with pre-Hellenistic Indian-style. Everyone knows that Egypt was envied in the world, for example: Kretaner borrowed the linear pseudo-hieroglyphs A 2200BC and then B. The Phoenicians from Byblos took pseudo-hieroglyphs too at the 17th century BC from which they created the letters of the Alphabet XVI BC . Papyrus for the Hellenes to write us wonderful poems philosophy and laws ...Finally It is not allowed to talk about Arab music or Arab dancers, even dress and culture, simply because Arabs didn't have those things. Please stop the misinformation, enough is enough. Phoenician women your duty is to dance not defending oppressed Arab females.
The timing and perfect coordination was astounding...but the fact that they made a dance that represents the "evil eye protection" so subtlety was genius. It's hard to express...Arabic culture is big with this. And the fact they knew they were being criticized, judged by the whole world, and make a dance depicting the very same 'protection from evil eye'...absolutely brilliant 👏

This is the perfection you get when you make the effort and create something so incredible as a team and the way one of the girls picked up the gold confetti off the floor, when so many other winners walk over it, says all you need to know about how much this means to them and how much they appreciate being given the opportunity to share their absolutely undeniable talent.

Shakira originally Lebanese too, but unfortunately Escobar who i admire was not Arab 😅
Bye

@@Omar-gv1op Hello Omar
It is good to read several comments.

If anyone is interested in who the Mayyas are and how they train for hours in the dance studio I have shared it all in my video. Greetings 🥰
FINALLY, SOME AMAZING PEOPLE FROM THE MIDDLE EAST SHOW THIS INCREDIBLE TALENT IN AGT!! BRAVO!!
I am an Arab, I am not from Lebanon, but I feel very proud that these girls give the world a wonderful image of our culture. Thank you, Lebanon. Thank you, Mayass.🤩😍❤❤
Are they really girls? I think they are all at least 18, meaning they are adults.
isn't everything they did is HARAM in ISLAM ? by Saria law they all should be stone pelted and murdered.
That was more of a hindu culture representation, rather than Arab TBH
@@asimkhan2096 it's true. entire dance is similar to Hindu dances.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR LEBANON PROUD !!! ❤🇱🇧✨️
❤️We love you MAYYAS 🇱🇧✨️

Man when I heard NightBird song in the background and then when he talked about “NightBird” I got so emotional. I think she’s going to be with them every step of the way. I’m going to call it it, I think they will win.
Yeah Totally!!!!!
I agree. It still hurts after what happened to Nightbird, I still can't believe that she's gone 😭😢💔🕊
I really miss her too. Simon tells her that she is a true winner. 😢

The audience loves them. The judges loves them. The people at their homes watching their performance loves them. All were happy seems they're already the 🏆.
