    Man that is an awesome Live Well you built. I never would have thought that using a kitty box. You'd be surprised what works. It's a good one thank you for sharing.

    That is a smart looking and well thought out live well. The repurpose of the litter container is genius with the angle it has. Great DIY video! I recommend getting an FPV power Lithium battery for it. 17.5ah for only $219. The battery is waterproof and tbe BMS will shut down the battery if it shorts in water. (think capsize) and won't hurt it. Small and only about 2lbs.

      Thanks for watching and the recommendation. I will look into that battery. Sounds awesome. I love the livewell and it works great for my fishing needs. Tight lines friend

    Not only does it aerate the water, but it also helps regulate the temp. The sun beating down on that bucket would cook the fish (figuratively) without fresh water coming in to cool it down.

    Awesome video and live well! I am going to make my own live well but mine will be specifically made for my Old Town Sportsman Autopilot 136. I'm not sure what I'm going to use for the box yet but I want something that fits in the front of the tank well with tubes going through the scupper holes. I saw the Hobie live well and want to make something similar. I like how they did their draining system. I might actually drop a fish tank aerator with those aerator stones in it for quieter operation. I also plan on making it so I can plug it right into the kayak and use the battery I'm going to run my lights and usb chargers with. I plan on using the YakPower 8 circuit bluetooth enabled switching system so I can control all of my electronic with the remote switch or my phone. I plan on making a waterproof battery box that will sit in the back of the tank well and plug right into the kayak.

      Still going strong. Used it three times this year. The only thing I had to replace is the deer feeder battery it uses.

      After I got a link for it, I realized that. I guess when I bought it that day it was placed in the wrong area by the kitty litter. 😂

      Thanks for watching! In the description, I left links for the products used. The only thing different is the bilge pump gph. It’s a size 500. The link takes you to the direct brand but not the size. The battery is just a 12v deer feeder battery. Tight lines

    The whole idea of building your own gear is to build something decent for a low budget and you paid 60 bucks for a cat litter container. I'm confused. May as well get the 400 dollar Hobie livewell.

    • @Itchin2Fish
      @Itchin2Fish  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I miss spoke. It’s $26 and either way 60 is better than $400. Doesn’t take a math genius to figure that out. Plus quality! If it breaks after first use then you wasted time and money. Tight lines! Link in bio will take you to it. Good luck
