Another week where my comments are shorter than I planned. Anyway, let's see what happens.
Starchild V.S. Huge: Huge by Unanimous JD - Hey, I think Starchild is sus! Let's vote them out!
Ominous V.S. Shatter: Ominous by late KO - This could come down to who has a worse time with ominibot driving. I think Onimous will barely do enough to KO Shatter before the full 3 minutes.
Triton V.S. Horizon: Triton by KO - Horizon has no wedge to bother Triton. So, it should be an easy win for Triton.
Bloodsport V.S. Beta: Beta by Unanimous JD - From a teaser photo, it looks like Bloodsport will be taken for a ride! Will the wall collision break Bloodsport's weapon? We shall see, but control will be the factor here.
Mammoth V.S. Kraken: Mammoth by KO - One big push of Mammoth and it will drive Kraken into a position where self-righting will be a malfunction.
Valkyrie V.S. Glitch: Glitch by KO - This may depend on how much the collision impact both bots. I don't want to pick Glitch, but I'll give it one more shot.
Black Dragon V.S. Riptide: Riptide by KO - Black Dragon has been avoiding getting KO'd for so many fights in a row. However, Riptide's ground game and the power of the weapon will be enough to end this incredible streak.
5-2; Not bad. But I definitely lost all the fiath in Glitch after that performance. With that aside, let's prepare for the ultimate and critical next week's Fight Card!

My Predictions: We’re that much closer to the tournament. These bots need to make big statements for tournament spots and good seedings and this fight card looks "smoking" good! Let’s blaze it up!
HUGE JD: The mirror match! Starchild’s wheels are not as strong as HUGE’s so HUGE will shred them up and it will need to attack the weapon of Starchild too. Starchild has gone the full 3 minutes in it previous fights and I think it will happen here too.
Ominous JD: I don’t care what people say, I don’t care how disappointing Ominous has been, Shatter is going winless. Ominous has a good weapon when it works as intended while Shatter does not and Ominous has better traction compared to Shatter and as long as Ominous is not upside down they will take this.
Triton KO: The spinners on Horizon won’t bother Triton and it will need to attack the center of Horizon.
Bloodsport JD: Bloodsport is faster and can get around to the backside to try and attack from behind Beta cause it’s the only spot they are likely going to unleash any damage and they can rip off that hammer head like Rotator did.
Kraken KO: As bad as Kraken has been, I think they will end this one on a high note since Mammoth’s breadsticks are not strong at all and Kraken will cut right through them and make Mammoth fall apart.
Glitch KO: I almost refused to predict this fight cause both bots have sucked so much this season but I trust Glitch’s driver more than Valkyrie’s and Glitch has experience with under cutters. I could see Valkyrie getting its spinner popped off again.
Riptide KO: If there is any bot that is capable of KOing Black Dragon, it’s Riptide! Say what you will about the members of Riptide but they are always locked in focused on getting a knock out when they enter in the Battlebox! Riptide weapon is also bigger, spins faster and deals much more damage compared to Black Dragon. Black Dragon’s record of not getting knocked out will sadly come to an end.

Oh so they made the claim? I was wondering who did. My guess was part of a longer prediction: they beat BD so bad that those nice Brazilian guys speak up about it 😂

Starchild vs *HUGE:*
Starchild is in danger of becoming the first robot to go 0-4 this season. HUGE, on the other hand, is on its way to going 4-0 and challenging for the #1 seed. As far as weapons go, HUGE has the clear advantage in both punching power and reach. Unless, Starchild manages to land a good Hail Mary shot on the main chassis, HUGE is going to have an easy time delivering free shots at its inferior clone.
*Ominous* vs Shatter:
The Omni-wheel showdown.
If this was last season, I’d pick Shatter to win without question. However, as far as control goes, this is not the same Shatter. We’ve seen how it performed this season, and in every match Shatter participated in, it constantly overshot its turns, missed its hammer swings, and in general struggled to put itself in positions to dictate the pace of the fight. The loss to Horizon was the moment that destroyed whatever faith I had left in it giving a competitive run this season. When a former quarter finalist somehow manages to lose a judges’ decision to a gimmick robot that can easily be nullified and manhandled by almost any bot that can push or hit, you know something’s not right.
As for Ominous, it doesn’t have the same problems that Shatter has. It is much better driven, and while it did have issues with keeping its drum running, it appeared to have been solved by the Switchback fight. Unless Ominous somehow ends up on its back again, Shatter will have a lot of difficulty finding its mark as it gets chewed up on the sides by the fellow Omni-wheeled bot. Oh, and in speaking of Horizon…
*Triton* vs Horizon:
Coming in at 1-2, both bots are looking to try and make the fringes of a tournament berth. As far as weapons go, Triton has the clear advantage. Its big powerful spinning bar should overpower Horizon’s small dual discs with ease. Horizon’s best chance of victory is either landing good hits on Triton’s chassis or finding a way to disable Triton’s bar. Otherwise, it’s Triton’s fight to lose.
Bloodsport vs *Beta:*
This is an interesting matchup, in that a high tier horizontal in Bloodsport is taking on a hammerbot with a wedge that’s so robust that even prime Tombstone and Rotator couldn’t break through it. Bloodsport’s best chance of victory is finding a way to slip to the backside and rip off the hammer. Otherwise, Beta will have its way using its static wedge to deflect anything Bloodsport throws at it.
Mammoth vs *Kraken:*
Will the Mighty Mammoth Ferris Wheel hurl the speedy sea monster out of the water? Eh, I don’t think so.
While the dual inner fork configuration showed promise against Death roll, I’m still not sold on Mammoth being competitive against vertical spinners. As for Kraken, I think it has a good chance at winning this. Yes, it failed to win the ground game pretty badly against Copperhead, but let’s be honest, very few could. I think Kraken could either reach for the chain on the lifter or strike the wheels like Death Roll did previously.
*Valkyrie* vs Glitch:
One bot is looking to avoid going winless, the other is looking to score a credible win to make the playoffs. Glitch has the clear edge in the style clash, but I said the same thing when it faced Triton, and Glitch performed terribly in that fight. Valkyrie, for all its faults, didn’t have anywhere near as many catastrophic reliability issues in its last 3 fights, so I’ll take a chance on it. If Triton can penetrate the top armor on Glitch, then maybe Valkyrie could too.
Black Dragon vs *Riptide:*
Riptide is looking to challenge for the #1 seed coming into this fight, and standing in its way is a Brazilian tank by the name of Black Dragon. The last time Black Dragon won against a drum spinner was 3 years ago, when it won in the desperado tournament against Minotaur. Unlike Minotaur however, Riptide is equipped with wedgelets to assist in the ground game. With how lackluster Black Dragon’s ground game has been throughout its history, Riptide shouldn’t have a hard time hurling Black Dragon around the arena.

(a battle between perhaps the two most overrated bots in the entire field. I expect Beta to validate their position as the most cowardly and wimpy control bot in the field with this fight. they will go with their triangular wedge setup that will beat Bloodsport's horizontal attack. I can't wait to see Beta annihilated by a real opponent in the top 32 tournament)
Kraken over Mammoth by KO
(Mammoth has looked better than Kraken this season. but Kraken has greater damage potential here. I see Kraken slowly chipping away at the frame of Mammoth until Mammoth can't move anymore)
Glitch over Valkyrie by KO
(yuck...two bots with great potential but usually subpar results. Glitch has slightly greater damage potential here, I guess?)
Black Dragon over Riptide by KO
(maybe wishful thinking here, but Riptide's team needs to be humbled. Black Dragon outdrives Riptide and chips away at their sides until Riptide can't drive anymore. let Riptide get their cheeks clapped here, PLEASE!)

*HUGE* over Star Child- Just see no way for Star Child to win this match up which is a shame as I really enjoyed watching the 3lb version and was hoping it would have success it's first year scaled up. Just two bots with the same body design just Huge only has to drive into Star Child to get it's weapon to engage. Where Star Child has to drive then hit the breaks and then hope their arm missed Huge's weapon and connects with the body of Huge. Only way Star Child wins is if the first engagement they win and do some serious damage to Huge
*SHATTER* over Ominous- Kind of a toss up with how poorly Shatter has done this season. But Ominous weapon hasn't shown me enough. Usually seems like it can only dish out a hit or two before it slows down and they have struggled to get solid engagement with their weapon. So think that will be the case in this fight with Shatter getting in enough weapon hits to win. Don't see either bot making the top 32 as even 2-2 Ominous wins aren't good enough to get in to me. And a 1-3 Shatter doesn't deserve to get in either.
*TRITON* over Horizon- Two bots that haven't really impressed me. With Triton only win coming against Glitch who hasn't worked well yet this season. And Horizon being a design I don't really see being effective at a heavyweight scale. Just going with Triton due to weapon size. Again don't see either bot making it at 2-2. As neither have looked impressive this year 1-3 bots like Ribbot and Fusion deserve a spot more over them not to mention other 2-2 bots.
*BETA* over Bloodsport- I think Bloodsport will probably win but gonna go with Beta winning with control and aggression like they did a few years ago to Rotator.
*MAMMOTH* over Kraken- Kind of just picking Mammoth so that Deathroll my favorite bots strength of schedule looks a bit better. But also not feeling Kraken new design and their drive issues. I mean this is a fight they could easily win with getting the right hit on a tire or something else important on Mammoth. But gonna go with Mammoth smothering them and Kraken drive making that easy.
*GLITCH* over Valkyrie- Just haven't liked anything I have seen out of either bot just think Glitch has the weapon advantage and could win with one bit hit. Again not sure either bot gets in. Maybe Valkryie if they win but even if Glitch wins don't think they should get in at 1-3 just off of last years performance. No way a 1 win bot should get in when their only win would be against a 1-3 bot. IDC if a Ripetide and Lock Jaw losses aren't bad sure if Glitch put up a fight in those matches I could possible get in but instead it was a one hit KO in both of those fights. And then they lost to a rookie in Triton who hasn't impressed this season.
*BLACK DRAGON* over Ripe Tide- Only picking Black Dragon due to my dislike for the Rip Tide team mainly Ethan and his father. Think Ripe Tide has the advantage in the matchup. But Ripe Tide has also had a pretty easy schedule as Glitch has been a bottom tier bot so far this year. Mad Catter has been up and down. And Captain Shred is an easy win for any competent vertical spinner. So maybe Ripe Tide facing a upper tier bot will show some weaknesses in them. Hell wouldn't be shocked if Black Dragon might be able to win simply but just staying alive and Rip Tide simply not being able to last 3 minutes.

@@jmw3938 Kind of hard to like a father who's been selling a supposed cure for Autism something that you literally can't cure. Pretty sure if none of the world's best minds have ever cured it then some random Joe doesn't have the answer and shouldn't be trying to make money off of families. They also completely stole their bot design from another builder the driver of Mad Catter who built and designed a bot called Lynx years ago.

@@animedude8712 as if other teams haven't cheered crazily before nor as if other teams haven't wrecked their opponents before. Haven't heard a single complaint about tombstone vs bombshell s2, all of tombstone "you want more hits," Brutus vs warhawk, poison arrow vs sow, poison arrow vs Hypershock, beta vs overhaul, madcatter vs atom #94, Hypershock vs madcatter, icewave vs HUGE, etc. In fact when icewave got the unnecessary late hit on yeti, people DEFENDED icewave for his actions, telling Greg Gibson to cool it. So why is it different here?
[With the new translational movement rule that won't count out bots until they completely stop moving, riptide wanted to KO shred for him to be completely dead. Yes riptide could have backed off and done the sportsmanship thing, but I don't think what he did was no different than other teams nor the worst thing that ever happened in battlebots history. Yet this is all an excuse to harass the team, send death threats, and start wars in every comment section? Can't people just control their own feelings and have a civilized discussion about it? I guess we didn't learn from the s6 finale toxicity??? Shame]
And honestly for what riptide has accomplished this season, they should deserve a little more respect. Not easy going 4-0 including KO a bot who has never been KO before
@@billyevans4929 Oh, I'm okay with what Riptied does. I was just commenting on what I've heard others say. I've watched other battles, and some bots get wrecked pretty badly.
I see why people might dislike them, but honestly, they could just be playing characters. It's what people like.
I just really hope we can all control our feelings and cool ourselves down if riptide wins. I find it sad how we never learned from the s6 finale toxicity. Yeah riptide can be annoying, but are they *THAT* bad where we need to start wars in every comment section? There are worse things I see and just because one does wrong doesn't make it right for us to do wrong as well. Just let it go and move on from the shrederator fight
