In a podcast I heard a retired Indian Colonel who commanded a SF unit say that the guys from the US SF tell others that they have too much catching up to do. Catching up in terms of equipment is apparent but the seriousness of this statement hit me when I herd a Seal mention that a US SF theam or two can be deployed anywhere in the world within 2 hours at all times. The amount of operational exposure they have is unmatched hence they also have unmatched experience as well. Glad our (Indian) SF train with them regularly in desert, high altitudes, jungles, etc. The only area in which we beat them must be high altitudes (16,000 ft & above) since not only the SF units but our regular army also has the most experience and operational exposure in that terrain. And maybe top 3 or 5 in jungle and desert. Cant say much about built-up areas, high seas, costs, etc.

And Finally the NSGs (Black cats commandos) there are 2 units, one for counter terrorism (Urban) and another for anti-hijacking. NSGs renowned operations like Mumbai attack of 2008. So Indian special forces are like one the best in the world.

I don’t know their designation but I do know a thing or two about the Turkish military. So consider this: During the Korean conflict our NATO ally Turkey sent troops to that country. Now, every combat outfit in Korea had been subjected at one time or another to human wave attacks by the Chinese. Many other units had folded up and abandoned their positions when confronted by these attacks, but not the Turks. One cold night they withstood one such attack and saw that only one if four of the Chinese attacking them actually had a rifle. The next time the Chinese attacked them the Turks “…began to sing, threw down their own rifles, pulled out their knives, and fell upon the attacking forces with such ferocity the Chinese were forced back into their own positions after suffering grievous losses…” The Chinese never again attacked those positions as long as they knew the Turkish Brigade was holding them. So that’s a Turkish infantry brigade for you, somehow I don’t think I’d want to mess with their special forces

Being a USAF veteran I'm happy to hear what they say about the Air Force. There was a record for the longest in flight. They can stay up in the sky for long periods of time because of aerial refueling.
