This makes me mad at record companies if this had happened to queen we would never had been able to hear the beautiful masterpiece that is Bohemian Rhapsody. I'm 100% straight but I have much respect for the gay community and the gay musicians I love chilling and listening to Elton John or Barry Manilow. I am also in my late 20s for anyone who is curious.

No one knew Freddy Mercury was gay until after he died. I get what you are saying but this happens a lot. Barry and Elton and many other men were told to not publicize they were gay. Elton and Barry both had beards until the late 90's. I know people in their personal lives might have know but it was not public. It happens quite often in the music/and acting industry.
Also Freddy was married to a woman when Bohemian Rhapsody came out sooo. I wanted to state Freddie was Bisexual I said gay earlier but he was bi.

@@darklausal23 yeah I'm almost 32, but im disabled from Stage 4 Endometriosis, and after my bf lost his job last may, we had to move into my dads house in Oct, so its just really hard living in his house. I came out to my boyfriend and my best friend, but im just too scared to come out to my dad especially.

I remember when I reconnected with my childhood bestfriend, and we decided he would come to visit me. During one of our planning phone conversation he said, “I have something important to tell you before I come.” I was confused asf when he said, “I’m Bi, and wanted to tell you before I came.” I was like, “oh, ok…… what time do you want me to pick you up from the train.” I heard him freeze debating on weather to continue the topic, before he finally told me a time. When he came, we were sitting around, laughing and having fun when he said, “I have something to confess…. remember I told you I was Bi? I’m actually just gay but I tell everyone I’m Bi because I think it’s easier for them to accept.” Confused again, I tried to change the subject, but this time he wouldn’t. I finally had to admit to him that I already knew, I had always known since we were kids! My whole family knew. He was shocked. 😳 I told him that I was happy he trusted me enough to share with me, but that I thought it was sad that he felt he had to “come out,” to me as his sexual orientation has zero relevance on our friendship. He said he didn’t wanna feel like he was hiding or being dishonest with me, and I was like, “did I come out to you as straight? Nope! So you didn’t have to come outta nowhere because in my eyes, you were never hiding. You are who you are!” He will always be my friend! Idk why he thought that would change 🤗 I’ll love him forever. I hope one day there are no more need to announce one’s sexuality because it doesn’t matter. Love is love and if I love you, I always will.

I maybe straight but I just have to say that individuals & countries who don't acknowledge/respect/accept LGBTQA+s (whether by law or by culture) are missing out on a large community of wonderful & talented people. And if the pandemic taught us anything is that our time on this earth is short and precious, we should focus on appreciating all forms of life, spreading love, peace & positivity. It's 2021, it's about damn time we set aside our prejudice & just appreciate each other as human beings. To become better people in general.

The record label in Asia? Why not just go to another record company? I mean, you technically signed a contract allowing the contract to market you and if they marketed you as straight and you said nothing till much later on, the money and all that going into the image they built for is null and more money would be needed to remarket you. I'd love to hear the actual soundbit of them saying "noone wants to listen to a gay person" as that sounds like you have a case to sue them.
