5:38 my problem with what he said is it's literally straight men that commit 99% of this "forcing", on girls. Girls have to deal with this daily and you're giving a 1 in a million situation as an argument against gay people? It's like saying "pizza is disguasting because one restaurant ive been to couldnt make it". Also I know how this "forcing" looks in men's head- a gay man comes up to them, flirts a bit to find out if theyre interested and they take full ofense in it, because "someone dared to ASSUME they might be gay"- which is even crazier because that isnt even an assumption, gay people have to find a partner somehow, they are allowed to interact with outside world without people calling them offensive for simply trying to exist like everybody else.
FR living in a capital city and not meeting someone gay is virtually impossible unless your circle is very small and limited. I sometimes think gaydar is just non-existent in Korea lol@@TeeTop_

@@amyk4257 i dont think they are homophobic, they just have no clue. talking about gays publicly is still very new to them and i dont think people can come out without losing their jobs.
Being gay myself, it’s sad to hear some of the things these men said, but a lot of it has to do with stereotyping and culture, also it is South Korea so I try to understand that fact, so me being from the west, I would have assumed all of the guys were gay except the actual gay man haha. I guess for me, seeing them wear make up and dress the way they do makes me think they were gay, gays in the west also tend to have stereotypes of femininity and masculinity and none of these men would fall into the masculine stereotype from the west, please don’t be upset with my comment. Side note* I found the actual gay guy to be the cutest of them all, I liked his more natural look ❤
Those kind questions can't be asked with out some stereotypes being thrown in, if they had bad intentions I don't think they would agree to make that kinda video
but honestly though, a lot of men in the west think and say the same things that these men said. For many cases I think it’s genuinely not out of hate it’s just because of lack of education and exposure (and not wanting to be exposed because of unfamiliarity) to gay people and the lgbtq+ community
It's ironic to me that #3 was so harsh when the reason he probably gets approached a lot is the way he dresses and the colored lenses. He judges so harshly yet is upset others mistake him as gay because his style is more genderfluid. Most straight men don't style that way unless they're an ulzzang. He should learn to accept himself and stop being rude. 1 and 6 were so sweet. It was annoying that others assumed 6 was gay just because he was being defensive when they said mean things.
nah i feel like you shouldnt just assume someone is gay especially if you're trying to approach them because you really never know. With that being said, number 3 definitely couldve worded the way he said things better. I feel like his bad experiences with the gay community has caused him to be a bit bitter towards them and in turn makes him come off as homophobic. I would be a bit miffed if a guy tried to grope me just because I dressed a bit more genderfluid as well though. So i understand both sides, number 3 just came off more ugly about it. Which leads me to believe its happened to him often and/or rubbed him the wrong way so hes not as kind about it. EDIT: Also who knows, maybe he is gay or struggling with his sexuality/identity and guys approaching him just makes dealing with it worse and makes him more confused. I would understand that as well. People deal with things differently, hes still young...hoepfully he experiences things better from now on and becomes more confident in his own skin.
@@kaee4ki’m not really sure how you think we can approach a dude as a dude without assuming they could be gay. Groping is never an acceptable approach, no matter genders. What he said was wrong because he assumed all gay men are sexual harassers, which is an awful thing to assume about a minority group (or any group, for that matter. Think about how straight guys get this same shit from women) No matter what he’s dealing with, if anything at all, and no matter how “young” he is (though I’d guess 25, so not young enough to have pity) what he’s expressing here isn’t cool. Personally, wouldn’t be friends with him.
Yes honestly it gave me hope to see those Korean men stand by their beliefs and actively try to fight against bad stereotypes even tho it would’ve painted a target at them
I think that number 6 was mistaken for gay not because he defended himself from rude things, he just looked as good as number 5, he is handsome and confident.
Him being harrassed has nothing to do with how he dresses? Kinda giving victim blaming. His experience seems bad and that's sad. Of course its not right to make his assumptions based on his own experience, generalising all gay people. But his experiences being harassed should not be questioned and how he dresses is irrelevant.

It is already represented in the comments, but from a woman's point of view it is always a bad feeling when straight men generalize about gays and say they find it repulsive or rude to simply be touched or approached by gays. But we women have to live with it every day, with cheap come-ons, unwanted touching or lecherous looks. I don't know many gay men personally, but the ones I do know are very reserved and first check whether the person they are interested in is interested in them as well.
I know it's probably cultral diferences but I would argue with MANY things they've stated here.
Males will dismiss women saying that they are harassed but as soon as a gay man comes up they are the most offended. Very hypocritical.

RIGHT???
Two wrongs don't make a right but people do need to teach their sons and daughters better because I see more girls sexually harass guys more than I see guys do such these days. Either way it sucks to touch people without consent, even with how free I am with my sister there are some times I still ask for consent to touch, hold or hug her cause she's not always comfortable with it and needs to prepare her mind to accept another person's hug

Number 6 looks so perfect omg
I'm gay and I felt offended at some points in this video.
Many opinions were stereotypical and made gay people some kind of "exotic creature".
Number 3 even spoke as if all gay people in the world were harassers. That was bad.
definitely
yea its really disappointing. not to minimize his bad experience, but then I would ask, "so you'd be okay if a girl was sexually harassing you?" At the end of the day, every single person in the world is capable of being a pervert. Its just so silly.
i feel like all of them were fine except for no 2 & 3 letting their homophobia show 😭
its korea. they are really a few steps behind socially. its not their fault, they need to learn things and catch up! interactions between straight people are weird there too. one reason i cannot watch korean tv shows without getting angry, so i dont.
Same the gay guy was the cutest
It's interesting because a lot of stereotypes in other countries would consider most of these men gay. But ignorance is everywhere.
True! The gay guy doesn’t look like the rest of the pretty boys.
Think about how straight guys get this same shit from women)
No matter what he’s dealing with, if anything at all, and no matter how “young” he is (though I’d guess 25, so not young enough to have pity) what he’s expressing here isn’t cool.
If they do gay guys finding straight guys but the twist is they are all straight. Just imagine the chaos of every guy pretending to be gay, the content and just how funny it will be.
